The Nationaal Militair Museum (NMM) is a military museum in Soesterberg, Netherlands. It focuses on the history of the Dutch Armed Forces with emphasis on the Royal Netherlands Army and the Royal Netherlands Air Force. The Stichting Koninklijke Defensiemusea (Royal Defense Museums Foundation) oversees the museum.Its collection derives from the Legermuseum in Delft and the Militaire Luchtvaart Museum in Soesterberg, which were merged to form the NMM in 2014.The museum occupies the site of the former Soesterberg Air Base.

It was awarded two Michelin stars in the period 1981-1986. The Michelin star was lost in 2019, after a new head chef was hired and the restaurant was renovated.

The Militaire Luchtvaart Museum was located at Camp Zeist near the former Soesterberg Air Base. It was the official museum of the Royal Netherlands Air Force. In 2006 the Ministry of Defence decided to merge three military museums in the Netherlands into the Nationaal Militair Museum, located at the former Soesterberg Air Base. The new museum opened in 2013.

Soestduinen is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Utrecht. It is a part of the municipality of Soest, and lies about 3 km south of Soest. The hamlet was first mentioned in 1936 as Soestduinen, and means the dunes near Soest. The railway station Soestduinen has existed between 1863 and 1998, and was called Soestduinen since 1922. The hamlet has always had place name signs, but since 2009, it reads Soest with Soestduinen underneath to emphasise that it is a hamlet belonging to Soest.

Bosch en Duin is a village in Zeist municipality, in the Dutch province of Utrecht. The village is north of the town of Zeist, and borders Huis ter Heide to the east and Den Dolder to the north. The village is entirely made up of estates surrounded by forest. With 70%, Bosch en Duin has the highest percentage of houses worth more than 1 million euros of any town in the Netherlands, and also the highest average house price of all towns in the country.The estate De Horst in Bosch en Duin, designed by architect Karel de Bazel, is now a protected landmark. Dutch journalist Willem Oltmans grew up here.

Den Dolder is a railway station located in Den Dolder, Netherlands. The station is located on the Utrecht–Kampen railway (Utrecht-Amersfoort-Zwolle) and the Den Dolder–Baarn railway. It was opened in 1895. The current island platform was opened in 1914. This station was previously called Dolderscheweg (1895-1912).

Den Dolder also houses the big Dutch sauce manufacturer Remia referring to Den Dolder as Holland's Heart of Sauces as is depicted on the factory's side and is visible from the train passing by.
