Soestduinen

Soestduinen was a railway station in the town of Soestduinen, near Amersfoort, Netherlands.

Soest Zuid is a railway station located in Soest, Netherlands. The station was opened on 27 June 1898 on the single track Stichtse lijn and is located on an embankment. In 1963 a new station building was built and the station was moved 200 m. The station was previously called Nieuwe Weg ("New Road") (1898-1939).

The Den Dolder–Baarn railway is a railway line in the province of Utrecht, Netherlands running from Den Dolder to Baarn, passing through Soest. It is also called the Sticht Line (Dutch: Stichtse lijn). Opened in 1898 in order to link Baarn with the city of Utrecht, it is operated by Nederlandse Spoorwegen and belongs to ProRail. The railway line is 11 km long and was electrified in 1948. The line is single track, with a passing place at Soest station. The line has 5 stations: Den Dolder, Soest Zuid, Soest, Soestdijk and Baarn. There used to be two more stations on the line: De Paltz (1898-1933) and Baan Buurtstation (1898-1948), the original terminus of this line. After the line was electrified, the line was extended to the other existing Baarn station (which has been the current terminus of this line ever since).

The Nationaal Militair Museum (NMM) is a military museum in Soesterberg, Netherlands. It focuses on the history of the Dutch Armed Forces with emphasis on the Royal Netherlands Army and the Royal Netherlands Air Force. The Stichting Koninklijke Defensiemusea (Royal Defense Museums Foundation) oversees the museum.Its collection derives from the Legermuseum in Delft and the Militaire Luchtvaart Museum in Soesterberg, which were merged to form the NMM in 2014.The museum occupies the site of the former Soesterberg Air Base.

The Scottish court in the Netherlands was a special sitting of the High Court of Justiciary set up under Scots law in a former United States Air Force base, Camp Zeist in Utrecht, in the Netherlands, for the trial of two Libyans charged with 270 counts of murder in connection with the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland, on 21 December 1988. A school on the former base was converted into a judicial court for the trial.

The Militaire Luchtvaart Museum was located at Camp Zeist near the former Soesterberg Air Base. It was the official museum of the Royal Netherlands Air Force. In 2006 the Ministry of Defence decided to merge three military museums in the Netherlands into the Nationaal Militair Museum, located at the former Soesterberg Air Base. The new museum opened in 2013.
