Foulridge (pronounced FOHL-rij) is a village and civil parish in Pendle, Lancashire, close to the border with North Yorkshire in England. It is situated just beyond Colne, on the route from the M65 to Skipton, and is an important stopping point on summit pound of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, just before it enters the Foulridge Tunnel. Noyna Hill, a well known local landmark, sits 1 mile (1.6 km) east of the village. Foulridge adjoins the Pendle parishes of Salterforth, Kelbrook and Sough, Laneshaw Bridge, Colne and Blacko. Foulridge was once a township in the ancient parish of Whalley. This became a civil parish in 1866, forming part of the Burnley Rural District from 1894 (until 1974). A detached area of the old township to the east around Barnside and Monkhall, moved to Colne in 1935.An old tale is of a cow falling into the canal at one end then passing through the tunnel before rescue. It is said it was taken to the nearby pub and revived with a drink. There is also a large reservoir that feeds the canal. Barge trips are also available on the canal. Foulridge has been part of Lancashire since the Middle Ages and was about 1.5 miles (2.4 km) from the boundary of the old West Riding of Yorkshire. With the creation of the Borough of Pendle in 1974 parts of Yorkshire, including Earby and Barnoldswick, were transferred to Lancashire, and Foulridge moved further away from the White Rose county. There is an old village sign which used to mark the boundary with Yorkshire which has been affixed to the village hall in the centre of Foulridge. There is a large reservoir in the village which feeds the canal and which in turn is fed from other smaller reservoirs around the village. Foulridge also had its own railway station, which closed in 1959. According to the United Kingdom Census 2011, the parish has a population of 1,503, a decrease from 1,506 in the 2001 census.

Park High School is a coeducational secondary school located in Colne in the English county of Lancashire.Previously a community school administered by Lancashire County Council, in September 2018 Park High School converted to academy status and is now sponsored by The Pennine Trust. The school offers GCSEs and BTECs as programmes of study for pupils.

St Bartholomew's Church is in the town of Colne in Lancashire, England. It is an active Anglican parish church in the Diocese of Blackburn. There has been a church on the site since no later than the 12th century although the present building mostly dates from the 16th century. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade I listed building.

Foulridge railway station served the village of Foulridge in Lancashire, England. It was built by the Leeds and Bradford Extension Railway, (later absorbed by the Midland Railway) and opened on 2 October 1848.The station closed on 5 January 1959. The station building was subsequently dismantled brick-by-brick and re-erected at Ingrow West railway station on the heritage Keighley and Worth Valley Railway.The line serving it remained in use until February 1970, when it was closed to all traffic and subsequently dismantled.

The Pendle Hippodrome Theatre is an volunteer-run theatre in Colne, Lancashire in the north of England. It is owned by the Pendle Hippodrome Theatre Company, operating as Pendle Hippodrome Theatre Limited. The building originally opened in 1914 as a cinema and variety theatre.The Pendle Hippodrome Theatre was bought in 1978 by three local operatic societies and restored over the following eight years. Owned by The Pendle Hippodrome Theatre Company who perform at the theatre, it is run by volunteers, independently, without outside funding. The Theatre is a registered charity and provides a venue for local performers, schools, musical, drama and dance groups as well as being home to the Theatre Company and the Pendle Hippodrome Youth Theatre. In December 2014 the Pendle Hippodrome Theatre completed the purchase of the neighbouring public house with the intention of expanding its facilities in the near future. In June 2015 the Pendle Hippodrome Theatre was awarded with The Queen's Award For Voluntary Service.

Colne Football Club is a football club based in Colne, Lancashire, England. Affiliated with the Lancashire County Football Association, they are currently members of the Northern Premier League Division One West and play at Holt House.

Colne Town Hall is a municipal building in Albert Road, Colne, Lancashire, England. The town hall, which is the meeting place of Colne Town Council, is a grade II listed building.

Noyna Hill (sometimes just called "Noyna" or "Noyna Rock/s") is a hill in the Pennines hills range in Pendle, Lancashire, England. It is located a mile to the east of Foulridge and it is possible to see other local towns such as Colne, Nelson, Trawden, Barnoldswick and Earby. On a clear day most of Lancashire and the Yorkshire Dales are seen from here. Although the prominence is not that great due to the close proximity of other hills, it is unique in the area for having a large wide, but not very high rocky outcrop that is distinctive and well known in the area. The hill is 122m, (400 ft) above the village of Foulridge. The hill is on farmland, but has public footpaths that allow access.

Colne () is a market town and civil parish in the Borough of Pendle in Lancashire, England. Located 3 mi (4.8 km) northeast of Nelson, 6 mi (9.7 km) north-east of Burnley, 25 mi (40 km) east of Preston and 30 mi (48 km) west of Leeds. The town should not be confused with the unrelated Colne Valley around the River Colne near Huddersfield in West Yorkshire. Colne is close to the southern entrance to the Aire Gap, the lowest crossing of the Pennine watershed. The M65 terminates west of the town and from here two main roads take traffic onwards towards the Yorkshire towns of Skipton (A56) and Keighley (A6068). Colne railway station is the terminus of the East Lancashire railway line. Colne adjoins the Pendle parishes of Foulridge, Laneshaw Bridge, Trawden Forest, Nelson, Barrowford and Blacko.

The Foulridge Tunnel () is a canal tunnel on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal in Foulridge, Lancashire. Also known as the Mile Tunnel, Foulridge is 1,630 yards (0.93 mi; 1.49 km) long and was built by Samuel Fletcher, following Robert Whitworth's 1789 survey. The tunnel is the longest in the country to allow passage of canoes and kayaks.

Colne railway station serves the town of Colne, in Lancashire, England, which is situated close to Pendle Hill. The station, which is managed by Northern, is the eastern terminus of the East Lancashire Line. Trains from Blackpool South run through Preston and Blackburn to Burnley and Colne. Currently the station only has a single platform and a shelter. The old station was demolished in 1971, after the closure of the line from Colne to Skipton, which had occurred in the previous year.

Cottontree and Winewall are two hamlets situated in the civil parish of Trawden Forest in Pendle, Lancashire. They are adjacent to one other and located between the towns of Colne and Trawden. Cottontree is generally situated in the valley along the road that connects the two towns. Winewall is generally on the hillside overlooking Cottontree. The road that runs between Cottontree and Winewall connects to Laneshaw Bridge, Wycoller and is an alternative route to Trawden. Until 2001 Winewall had one of England's last Inghamite chapels.
