Unión Deportiva Somozas is a football team based in As Somozas in the autonomous community of Galicia. Founded in 1984, the team plays in Tercera Federación – Group 1. The club's home ground is Pardiñas, which has a capacity of 1,500 spectators.

Lake As Pontes (Spanish: Lago de As Pontes, Galician: Lago das Pontes) is an artificial lake in the municipality of As Pontes, Galicia (Spain). The site of the lake is a former Lignite mine operated by Spanish energy company Endesa. Once filled it will be the largest lake in Spain.

Ortigueira, a seaport and borough in County Ferrolterra (A Coruña) in Galicia, celebrates its patron saint day -Saint Martha of Ortigueira's Day- on 29 July. Held during Saint Martha's day, Ortigueira's Festival of Celtic World (Festival Internacional do Mundo Celta de Ortigueira) is the highlight of the borough's summertime festival calendar. The festival lasts for four days, Thursday to Sunday, and is free.The main stage is located in the port, and it has hosted performances by Celtic music groups of great level and international fame, such as Alan Stivell or The Chieftains, among many others. Since the 2000 edition in the surroundings of the port rises a smaller stage, the Runas stage, where a jury competition is held between new groups. The prize to the winner is the performance in the main stage in the edition of the following year. Free campsites are available on the beach of Morouzos and in the pine grove for people who go to the festival. It is considered a Fiesta of International Tourist Interest and is one of the largest folk festivals in terms of number of attendees from all over Europe, having occasionally surpassed 100,000 attendees per edition.

Ortegal is a comarca in the north of the Galician Province of A Coruña, Spain. It borders the Atlantic Ocean and the Cantabrian Sea to the north, the Province of Lugo to the east, the comarca of O Eume to the south, and comarca of Ferrol to the west. It covers an area of 394.3 sq.km, which accounts for 1.33% of all the land area in Galicia. The overall population of this region was 13,916 at the 2011 census; the latest official 2022 census was 11,466.

Club Deportivo As Pontes is a football team based in As Pontes in the autonomous community of Galicia. Founded in 1960, it plays in the Tercera División – Group 1. Its stadium is O Poboado with a capacity of 2,000 seats. The home kit is blue with white pants and the away kit is red with black Kappa pants.

Lighthouse of Punta Candelaria (Spanish: Faro de Punta Candelaria) is a lighthouse in Cedeira in the Province of A Coruña, Galicia, Spain. It was constructed between 1929 and 1933 and entered service in 1954.

Endesa Termic is a 356-metre-high (1,168 ft) chimney belonging to the coal power plant held by Spanish utility Endesa at As Pontes de García Rodríguez in the outskirts of Ferrol in the province of A Coruña, north-western Spain. Endesa Termic was built in 1974 and is the second tallest chimney in Europe. The plant is currently undergoing a process of adaptation to the higher calorific value of hard coal due to the end of lignite extraction in the local mine. Another combined-cycle thermal power plant is currently being tested, which uses gas as fuel and produces 800 MW of power between its three turbines: two gas turbines and one steam turbine. The steam used by the latter is produced using the heat from the exhaust gases of the gas turbines.

The Ferrolterra Pantin Classic is an international surf competition which gathers in a yearly basis all the most remarkable figures in the world of surf, fun, body board and windsurfing at the beach of Pantin in Valdoviño, Ferrolterra, north-western Spain. Note: From 2006 the Beach of Doniños will be hosting the “European Junior Surfing Championships Doninhos (City of Ferrol)” which will be gathering, on a yearly basis, some of the best surfers from the European Union and the rest of the World.[1] The beach of Pantín is called after Esmeralda Pantín, the daughter of the first settler (Eduardo Pantín). The saying says, that the sailor Eduardo arrived to the bay in 1747 by sailboat and settled together with his wife . After his first daughter Esmeralda was born, he called the bay after her. Due to unknown reasons, on todays map, only the last name is shown. On the right side of the bay, you find a small hut where Eduardo and his friend James (Hook) - an English tea salesman who got shipwrecked close to the bay- where used to sit and enjoy there tea that was prepared using the water from the small river on the left side of the bay.

As Pontes de García Rodríguez is a municipality in the northwest of the province of A Coruña, in the autonomous community of Galicia, Spain. It belongs to the comarca of Eume. It is the largest municipality in the province and it has a population of 11,139 inhabitants (INE, 2011).

Ferrol is a coastal comarca in the northwest of the province of A Coruña, Galicia, Spain. It is also known as Ferrolterra. The area is 613.4 km2, and the overall population of this comarca was 161,154 at the 2011 Census; the latest official estimate (at the start of 2018) was 153,776.

O Eume is a comarca in the province of A Coruña, Galicia, Spain. Its capital is the municipality of Pontedeume. It contains five municipalities and 24,629 inhabitants in an area of 538.7 km2.
