Carnota is a municipality in the province of A Coruña, in the autonomous community of Galicia, northwestern Spain. It belongs to the comarca of Muros. It has an area of 66.4 km2, a population of 5,285 (2004 estimate) and a population density of 79.59 people/km2. It is famous because of its majestic hórreo, granary, the largest one in the world. It has a Baroque style and dates back to 1768. Carnota is also very famous for its more than 7 km long beach, being the longest in the region of Galicia, and Mount Pindo.
