Fishpond Wood and Beverley Meads is a 5.8 hectare local nature reserve adjacent to Wimbledon Common in the London Borough of Merton. It is owned and managed by Merton Council.

Coombe Hill Wood is a 2-hectare (4.9-acre) local nature reserve in Coombe in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames in London. It is owned and managed by Kingston Council, and was declared a local nature reserve in 1992.The site is ancient woodland, with oaks and an understorey of hazel. It is located between Robin Hood Way (A3 road) and Henley Drive.

Coombe Brook is a 1 km (0.62 mi) long stream (brook) in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, London, England, that is a tributary to Beverley Brook, itself a tributary of the River Thames. Rising in Malden Golf Course in New Malden, Coombe Brook flows a northeasterly course through the golf course, then into a culvert under the Kingston By-pass section of the A3 road, before finally flowing into the Beverly Brook near Coombe on the boundary of the London Borough of Merton.Historically, Coombe Brook flowed into Beverley Brook at Coombe Bridge, which had existed as early as 1745. In the 1930s, the bridge was demolished and converted into its current state—a box culvert.

Kingston Vale with Kingston Hill is a district in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames in south-west London. It is a residential area between Richmond Park, the much smaller Putney Vale, Wimbledon Common, Coombe/Coombe Hill and the Norbiton part of the very old borough. The main road is the A308 (also called Kingston Vale and Kingston Hill) which is a through route for traffic passing to and from Kingston Hill to the A3 trunk road (locally known as the Kingston By-pass). Many of the branch roads are cul-de-sacs. It includes, toward the east and in the Vale, the only part of Kingston which drains eastward, that is, into Beverley Brook. The hill expanse, shared with Coombe and a golf course, has a hotel, some tall blocks overlooking Kingston, the edge of Kingston Hospital, the main campus of Kingston University London and faint remnants of dense woodland.

Motspur Park, also known locally as West Barnes, is a residential suburb in south-west London, in the New Malden district. It straddles the boroughs of Kingston upon Thames and Merton. Motspur Park owes its identity to the railway station of the same name, opened in 1925, which has six trains an hour to London Waterloo, and to the adjacent parade of small shops. Three prominent gas holders, which were used to store the consumer gas supply for south-west London, stand just south of the shopping parade and can be seen from a wide area. Two of London's minor natural watercourses flow through Motspur Park: Beverley Brook runs south to north through the centre and its tributary the Pyl Brook runs parallel to the east in shallow depressions in the land. The Motspur Park athletics stadium was built by the University of London in 1928 and achieved fame when the world mile record was set there in 1938. It was sold to Fulham Football Club as their training ground in 1999.

Coombe is a historic neighbourhood in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames in south west London, England. It sits on high ground, east of Norbiton. Most of the area was part of the former Municipal Borough of Malden and Coombe before local government re-organisation in 1965. It now shares borders with the boroughs of Merton and Sutton with, to the north, the small, inter-related neighbourhoods of Kingston Hill and Kingston Vale, beyond which is Richmond Park in Richmond; and Roehampton/Putney Vale in Wandsworth. To the east are public playing fields and Wimbledon Common.

Atkinson Morley Hospital (AMH) was located at Copse Hill near Wimbledon, South-West London, England from 1869 until 2003. Initially a convalescent hospital, it became one of the most advanced brain surgery centres in the world, and was involved in the development of the CT scanner. Following its closure, neuroscience services were relocated to the new Atkinson Morley Wing of St George's Hospital, Tooting.

Christ Church is an evangelical Church located in the suburb of New Malden in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, Greater London. Established on 3 December 1866, Christ Church is part of the Church of England, and is located in the Kingston Episcopal Area of the Diocese of Southwark. As of August 2022, Christ Church claims a weekly attendance of 750. The current vicar is Stephen Kuhrt, serving since 2007. New Malden was a speedily growing town, with its first seven residential streets built throughout the late 1850s. On 17 November 1865, Charles Stirling, first vicar of Christ Church, proposed its construction to the New Malden Local Board, with the opening and consecration of Christ Church taking place on 3 December 1866. The Church was enlarged with a new chancel and sacristy on 23 February 1878. On 12 November 1892, Stirling retired as vicar. Another extension to the church was built in 1966, with said hall later being demolished and replaced with a new entrance and new halls between 2017 and October 2018.

Wimbledon Common is a large open space in Wimbledon, southwest London. There are three named areas: Wimbledon Common, Putney Heath, and Putney Lower Common, which together are managed under the name Wimbledon and Putney Commons totalling 460 hectares (1,140 acres). Putney Lower Common is set apart from the rest of the Common by a minimum of 1 mile (1.6 kilometres) of the built-up western end of Putney.

Coombe Girls' School is an all-girls secondary school and co-educational sixth form with academy status in New Malden, South-West London, England. The school is a Leading Edge School, a Training School and specialises in languages. The school and nearby Coombe Boys' School are known jointly as The Coombe Federation.

Cottenham Park is a small district of the London Borough of Merton located to the south of Copse Hill, north of Raynes Park, in West Wimbledon, London. It was named after Charles Pepys, 1st Earl of Cottenham.Cottenham Park is home to a recreation ground with the same name. Its facilities include a cricket ground and several tarmac tennis courts. It was opened in 1897, under the name Melbury Gardens.

Marymount International School is a private day and boarding school for girls in Kingston upon Thames, London, England. Founded by the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary in 1955 it is open to children of all faiths or none. It is situated on a 7-acre (2.8 ha) campus 12 miles (19 km) from central London. Marymount is a fully accredited IB World School and is also accredited by the Council of International Schools and the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (USA).
