The Church of the Saviour (Azerbaijani: Xilaskar kilsəsi; German: Erlöserkirche, also known as the kirkha, from the German word "Kirche" (church)) is a Lutheran church in Baku, Azerbaijan (28 May Street), built with donations by parishioner Adolf Eichler and consecrated on March 14, 1899. It is now a Ministry of Culture and Tourism-owned concert hall. The Gothic-style church features a portal crowned with a decorated pediment. While Azerbaijan's Evangelical community ceased to exist in 1936, the church survived the Stalinist period because of petitions to Joseph Stalin in which the petitioners promised, in return for sparing the church, to pray for him till death. Nevertheless, Pastor Paul Hamburg and seven other members of the local Lutheran community were executed by firing squad on November 1, 1937. The land parcel of 1400 square sazhens (6,373 square metres (0.6373 ha; 1.575 acres)) for the church was assigned by the City Duma on January 30, 1885. Local residents asked Eichler to make the church similar to one in Helenendorf, but he instead used his own unique style. The cornerstone-laying ceremony was held on Sunday, March 21, 1896 with the Baku governor Lileyev and the city head Iretsky being present. Emmanuel Nobel, his stepmother and Ludvig Nobel's second wife also attended the ceremony. The church's name was announced at that moment. On June 24, 1898, a thirteen-pud (213 kilograms (470 lb)) gilded cross was raised atop the church. In early 1899 a bell and an organ were installed. The consecration ceremony gathered over one thousand people. On April 23, 1900 the church housed its first organ concert, where Johann Sebastian Bach's works were performed. On December 1, 1996, the Nobel family remembrance evening was held in the church. In 2001 the church was closed for renovation work.

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA, Azerbaijani: Azərbaycan Mərkəzi Bankı) is the central bank of Azerbaijan Republic. The headquarters of the bank is located in the capital city Baku. The National Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan was established by Decree of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Establishment of the National Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 February 1992. The National Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan was renamed to “The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan” upon enactment of the Referendum Act of the Republic of Azerbaijan on “Making additions and amendments to the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan” dated 18 March 2009.The status, goals, functions and authorities, as well as management and organizational structure of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, relations with public authorities and other persons as the central bank of the state, are determined by the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan” dated 10 December 2004. The Central Bank’s exceptional function of issue of the national currency of the country is specified in the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The Central Bank is also guided by other legislative acts of the Republic of Azerbaijan and international treaties seconded by the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Saint Thaddeus and Bartholomew Cathedral (Armenian: Սուրբ Թադևոս-Բարդուղիմեոս Մայր Տաճար, Russian: Церковь Святого Фаддея и Варфоломея, Azerbaijani: Surp Tadevos-Barduğimeos Erməni Kilsəsi), also known as the Budagovski Cathedral was an Armenian Apostolic church in Baku, Azerbaijan, built in 1910 and consecrated in 1911. It was located on the Bondarnaya-Dmitrova street (now known as Shamsi Badalbeyli street). Construction began on 2 August 1907 and was completed in 1910. The architect of the church was Hovhannes Kajaznuni.As part of the policy of destruction of religious buildings of the USSR government, the Cathedral was demolished in 1930, to be replaced with the building of the Baku Academy of Music.

The Hajibeyov Baku Academy of Music (Azeri: Hacıbəyov adına Bakı Musiqi Akademiyası) is a music school in Baku, Azerbaijan. It was established in 1920 in Baku and was previously known as the Hajibeyov Azerbaijan State Conservatoire.

The Azerbaijan State Song Theatre named after Rashid Behbudov (Azerbaijani: Rəşid Behbudov adına Dövlət Mahnı Teatrı) is located in Azerbaijan's capital, Baku, on Rashid Behbudov Street, and is named after Rashid Behbudov, who founded it in 1968.The theatre building was originally built as a synagogue in 1901. It is in the Greek Revival style, with an Ionic order portico, and in the ornamented pediment there is a central lyre where a representation of the Tablets of Stone once featured. The theatre's repertoire consists of folk songs, mugams and tasnifs, as well as works of national composers like Uzeyir Hajibeyov, Gara Garayev, Fikrat Amirov and Tofig Guliyev. Popular artists, such as Zaur Rzayev, Ilhama Guliyeva, Mubariz Taghiyev, Azar Zeynalov, Zohra Abdullayeva and Aybaniz Hashimova, worked in the theatre.

The Azerbaijan State Oil Academy shooting (Azerbaijani: Azərbaycan Dövlət Neft Akademiyasında terror hadisəsi) occurred on 30 April 2009, at the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy (ASOA), a public university in Baku, Azerbaijan. Twelve people were killed (students and staff members including the Deputy Principal of the institution) by an armed assailant and several others were wounded. A joint statement by the Azerbaijan Interior Ministry and Prosecutor General's Office identified the perpetrator as 28-year-old Farda Gadirov, a Georgian citizen of Azerbaijani descent.Two buses of special forces had arrived at the scene. According to Ehsan Zahidov, a spokesman for Interior Ministry, the special troops conducted an operation while people reportedly having been held hostage were released. Three cartridge belts with capacity of forty and seventy one bullets along with two magazines were taken from Gadirov's body.

Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (formerly Azerbaijan State Oil Academy) (Azerbaijani: Azərbaycan Dövlət Neft və Sənaye Universiteti, Азәрбајҹан Дөвләт Нефт вә Сәнаје Университети (ADNSU)) is a tertiary education institution in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Gara Garayev Monument (Azerbaijani: Qara Qarayevin heykəli) – is a monument raised in Baku in the honour of the composer Gara Garayev.

The Mirza Fatali Akhundov National Library of Azerbaijan (Azerbaijani: Mirzə Fətəli Axundov adına Azərbaycan Milli Kitabxanası) is the national library of the Republic of Azerbaijan, located in Baku and founded in 1922. It is named after Mirza Fatali Akhundov, an Azerbaijani dramatist and philosopher. The library is located on Khagani Street and overlooks Rəşid Behbudov Avenue and Nizami Street. Its facades feature the statues of various writers and poets: Nizami Ganjavi, Mahsati, Uzeyir Hajibeyov, Shota Rustaveli, Alexander Pushkin and several others. A vast, eight-stage repository occupies the four floors of the building and is equipped with special elevators, which deliver the books to the outlets. The capacity of reading rooms is 500 seats. Orders are also accepted by e-mail upon electronic registration. The library includes 25 sections and 26 sectors. The fund of the library covers approximately 4,513,000 publishing materials.

Jafar Jabbarly is a Baku Metro station. It opened on 27 October 1993. It is named after Jafar Jabbarly.

Monument to Nikola Tesla (Azerbaijani: Nikola Teslanın heykəli) is a monument to the Serbian scientist Nikola Tesla, located in the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku, in a park at the crossing of the Azadlig Avenue and the Suleiman Rahimov Street. The monuments authors are the Peoples Artist of Azerbaijan, the sculptor Omar Eldarov and the architect Sanan Salamzade. The monument is cast from bronze. Its height together with the pedestal is 3.3 meters.The monument is set against the background of a decorative panel depicting one of Teslas main inventions - an alternator. The opening ceremony of the monument took place on 8 February 2013. The ceremony was attended by the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, the First Lady of Azerbaijan, Mehriban Aliyeva, the President of Serbia, Tomislav Nikolic, and the First Lady of Serbia, Dragica Nikolic. At the opening ceremony, the presidents delivered speeches.

Khagani Alley (or Khagani Street) is a road from Rasul Rza alley to Kovkab Khanim Safaraliyeva alley. There are many historical monuments of the 16th to 20th centuries on the street, as well as a statue and three parks. The road is 1.7 kilometres (1.1 mi) in length.
