Derawal Nagar is a colony in Delhi, India which is named after people of the Derawal community. Originally native to the Derajat region (districts of Dera Ismail Khan and Dera Ghazi Khan in present-day Pakistan). These individuals, who are mostly Hindu, were settled here after the partition of India in 1947. It is just a small colony comprising two blocks A and B. It has a famous gurudwara of Shah Ji in A block. The language spoken by the original inhabitants of this area is Derawali, which is a dialect of Saraiki. There are a number of Derewali Hindus living in Vijay Nagar, Ashok Vihar, Mukherjee Nagar and GurgaonSome of these Derawali Hindus of Bhatia Clan have become accomplished businessmen in city of Surat. Bhatia Chemicals is a very well known & prominent large business. Bhatias in Surat and Ahemadabad also started Textile Factories such as Mohanlal And Sons Dyeing & Printing Mills in G.I.D.C. Pandesara, Surat, Gujarat. Manchanda, Sota, Nangia, Bangia, Arora, Malik, Gera, Kapoor apart from Bhatia are some prominent surnames in the area.

The Azadpur Metro Station is an interchange station of the Delhi Metro. It provides interchanges between Yellow Line and the Pink Line.

Gurdwara Nanak Piao is a historical Gurudwara located in north Delhi in India. This gurdwara sahib is dedicated to the first Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Gurdwara Nanak Piao was built at the site, in the garden where Guru Nanak Dev camped when he visited Delhi in 1505 during the reign of Sultan Sikandar Lodi. It is on Rana Pratap Road (also known as Grand Trunk Road or GT Road). It is said that people flocked to the revered prophet and offered him and Bhai Mardana precious gifts and offerings. Guru Nanak Dev Ji used to distribute all these offerings to the poor and needy. Besides this, he used to offer food and water to the hungry and thirsty, hence the name of the shrine. The word "Piao" mean to "offer liquid to drink" and refers to the offering of water to all the thirsty who visited this shrine. Even today, the Well used by the Guru is preserved and one can still see the well from which Guru Nanak served water at the shrine. Consequently, over time Gurdwara Nank Piao attained a status of a holy and revered historical shrine. Guru Nanak Dev was an apostle of peace, brotherhood, non-violence and amity. His sermons created very uplifting and healthy impact on the people who bowed before him as respect for his spiritual guidance. The garden surrounding the Gurdwara became a place of pilgrimage for the people from all over Delhi. This is where they received the message of spiritual deliverance.

Model Town is an upscale neighbourhood situated in North Delhi, India. It was built in the early 1950s by the DLF Group, then known as Delhi Land and Finance, and is one of the first privately developed neighborhoods in Delhi. Model Town is a large area and divided into blocks and sub-colonies. It is one of the three administrative divisions of the North Delhi district, along with Alipur and Narela.

The Tripolia Gates are two historical gateways of similar form located at GT Karnal Road, Delhi. These are triple passage gateways situated 250 meters apart in the area between Rana Pratap Bagh and Gur Mandi in North Delhi. These structures were made by Nazir Mahaldar Khan, superintendent of women's quarter in the palace of Mughal emperor Muhammed Shah during the period 1728-29 as entrances towards a market from both ends. Out of these two gates, northern gate is restored and the southern gate is still under restoration.

Haqiqat Nagar (Hindi: हक़ीक़त नगर, Urdu: حقیقت نگار, Punjabi: ਹਾਕ਼ੀਕ਼ਾਤ ਨਗਰ), also spelled as Hakikat Nagar, is a residential colony in Delhi located near Kingsway Camp in the North West district. The colony was named famous Hindu leader who attained veergati in Lahore, Haqiqat Rai, and is one of the sites where refugees from the Sind and Punjab provinces settled. This colony is part of the Model Town tehsil. The colony is at the crossroads of Mall Road and Banda Bahadur. The GTB Nagar metro station of Delhi Metro provides convenient transportation to other parts of Delhi. The colony has around 384 houses, two temples, one gurudwara (Sikh temple), one community center and one co-ed primary school. Haqiqat Nagar is very close to the University of Delhi North Campus, and the commercial education centers like Mukherjee Nagar. This area has got a good market popularly termed as Camp Market; making the area very vibrant and dynamic.

Lakshmibai College is a constituent college of the University of Delhi that provides higher education to women only. It is located in Ashok Vihar, Delhi, India. The college was established in 1965 and is named in honour of Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi.
