West Chesterfield, New Hampshire

The United States Navy Seabees Bridge is a through-steel two-hinged arch bridge over the Connecticut River located between Brattleboro, Vermont, and Chesterfield, New Hampshire. It carries the Franklin Pierce Highway, New Hampshire Route 9, which connects to Vermont Route 9 on the Vermont side. It runs parallel to the Justice Harlan Fiske Stone Bridge which it replaced, but which has been retained as a pedestrian and bicycle bridge.

The Asbury United Methodist Church is a historic Methodist church on NH 63 in Chesterfield, New Hampshire. It has been termed the "mother church of Methodism in New Hampshire", and is home to the state's oldest continuously running Methodist congregation, organized in 1795. The building, constructed in 1844, is a prominent local example of Greek Revival architecture, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Chesterfield is a town in Cheshire County, New Hampshire, United States. The population was 3,552 at the 2020 census. It includes the villages of Spofford and West Chesterfield. Chesterfield is home to Spofford Lake, Chesterfield Gorge Natural Area, and parts of Pisgah State Park and Wantastiquet Mountain State Forest.

Naulakha, also known as the Rudyard Kipling House, is a historic Shingle Style house on Kipling Road in Dummerston, Vermont, a few miles outside Brattleboro. The house was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1993 for its association with the author Rudyard Kipling (1865–1936), who had it built in 1893 and made it his home until 1896. It is in this house that Kipling wrote Captains Courageous, The Jungle Book, The Day's Work, and The Seven Seas, and did work on Kim and The Just So Stories. Kipling named the house after the Naulakha Pavilion, situated inside Lahore Fort. The house is now owned by the Landmark Trust, and is available for rent.

The School for International Training, widely known by its initials SIT, is a private non-profit regionally-accredited institution headquartered in Brattleboro, Vermont, United States. The institution has two main divisions. SIT Graduate Institute administers a wide range of internationally-focused master's degree programs as well as a Doctor of Education degree in Global Education. SIT Study Abroad administers undergraduate study abroad programs which combine field-based experiential learning with academic research or internship opportunities. SIT is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education. The school itself is a unit of World Learning, a non-profit international development and education organization that began in 1932 as an international exchange program called the Experiment in International Living.

The Windham-3-3 Representative District is a one-member state Representative district in the U.S. state of Vermont. It is one of the 108 one or two member districts into which the state was divided by the redistricting and reapportionment plan developed by the Vermont General Assembly following the 2000 U.S. Census. The plan applies to legislatures elected in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, and 2010. A new plan will be developed in 2012 following the 2010 U.S. Census. The Windham-3-3 District includes the parts of the Windham County town of Brattleboro not included in Windham-3-1 or Windham-3-2. As of the 2000 census, the state as a whole had a population of 608,827. As there are a total of 150 representatives, there were 4,059 residents per representative (or 8,118 residents per two representatives). The one member Windham-3-3 District had a population of 3,816 in that same census, 5.99% below the state average.

The New England Center for Circus Arts (NECCA) is a non-profit circus school based in Brattleboro, Vermont. As of 2016, the School reported 6,000 students.Originally in the Old Cotton Mill, in Brattleboro, the school moved into a new custom-built facility at 10 Town Crier Dr in 2017, which includes an 8,600 square foot Trapezium. The new facility required a 2.5 million dollar capital campaign, and was designed by Turner Brooks Architects. The school had been growing continuously since its inception in 2007. The school was founded by Serenity Smith Forchion and Elsie Smith.

Wantastiquet Mountain is in New Hampshire by the Connecticut River near Brattleboro, Vermont. Conventional wisdom holds that its name means "west river", but researchers reported the name means river where it is easy to get lost. The mountain has also been known as Chesterfield Mountain and Rattlesnake Mountain. It was home to tomber rattlers. It is 1,335 feet high. There is a trail to its summit that passes by former quartzite mines. Wantastiquet Mountain State Forest is 520 acres. The mountain is along the 50 mile Wantastiquet-Monadnock Trail and Greenway. The trail extends to Mount Monadnock. The Wantastiquet Mountain Natural Area covers 1,000 acres and includes the Walter H. Child Monument. It is in the extreme southwest corner of Chesterfield, New Hampshire at the northwest corner of Hinsdale, New Hampshire across the river from Vermont. Trails up the mountain offer views of the Connecticut River Valley, Brattleboro, Vermont and the Vermont Mountains. Madame Sherri Forest is nearby. A path to the summit was established in the 1840s and a carriage road to the area in 1891. A log cabin offered water cures. Bands reportedly played on the mountain with the sound carrying to those below. In 1924 a cross was burner on it while Ku Klux Klan organizers were in the area. Radio stations and a weather station were installed on it. A 100-foot cable tower topped the mountain until being taken down around 2023. All Souls Unitarian Church in Brattleboro, Vermont was built of Quartzite from the mountain. It is now The Stone Church theater.

WTSA (1450 AM, "All News Radio 106.5 & 99.5") is a radio station licensed to serve Brattleboro, Vermont. The station is owned by Jared Goodell's Community Media LLC and broadcasts an all-news radio format, also carried by FM translators W258DQ (99.5) in Brattleboro and W293AB (106.5) in Keene, New Hampshire. WTSA first signed on in 1950.

Poocham is an unincorporated community in the town of Westmoreland in Cheshire County, New Hampshire, United States, near the larger communities of Keene, New Hampshire and Brattleboro, Vermont. Poocham's oldest houses date from around 1800. By reputation, the name Poocham comes from an Abenaki Indian word meaning "gathering place". The community is almost entirely composed of homes and farms, but a small fluorite mine (called William Wise Mine) and growing vineyard (called Poocham Hill Winery) are also present.

The Arthur D. and Emma J. Wyatt House is a historic house at 125 Putney Road (United States Route 5) in Brattleboro, Vermont. Built in 1894, it is one of the state's finest examples of a mature Shingle style residence. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

The Brattleboro Retreat is a private not-for-profit mental health and addictions hospital that provides comprehensive inpatient, partial hospitalization, and outpatient treatment services for children, adolescents, and adults. Located just north of downtown Brattleboro, Vermont, United States, the Retreat is situated on approximately 300 acres of land along the Retreat Meadows inlet of the West River. Founded in 1834, the retreat was "the first facility for the care of the mentally ill in Vermont, and one of the first ten private psychiatric hospitals in the United States". It is considered a pioneer in the field of mental health care in the United States. The retreat is a member of the Ivy League Hospitals. More than 600 acres of the campus, including most of its buildings, were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.
