Clemson ([note a]) is a city in Pickens and Anderson counties in the U.S. state of South Carolina. Clemson is home to Clemson University; in 2015, the Princeton Review cited the town of Clemson as ranking #1 in the United States for "town-and-gown" relations with its resident university. The population of the city was 17,681 at the 2020 census.Clemson is part of the Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson, SC Combined Statistical Area. Most of the city is in Pickens County, which is part of the Greenville-Mauldin-Anderson Metropolitan statistical area. A small portion is in Anderson County.

Hanover House is a colonial house built by a French Huguenot family in 1714–1716, on the upper Cooper River in present-day Berkeley County of the South Carolina Low Country. The house is also known as the St. Julien-Ravenel House after its early owners. When a state project to dam the river was dammed and create Lake Moultrie was proposed in the 1940s, it would have flooded the site of the house. To preserve the historic structure, the house was moved to the Clemson University campus in Pickens County.

Spittoono is an annual family-friendly three-day music festival held in August in Central, South Carolina, in a field off of Road 18 on the south side of US 123, the purpose of which is to raise monies for charity. Begun as a tongue-in-cheek spoof of Spoleto, the cultural festival for performing arts in Charleston, South Carolina, Spittoono (or Spitoono, as it was spelled in alternating years) was founded by the Redneck Performing Arts Association (RPAA) a loosely organized group of locals at the ESSO Club, a gas station and grocery turned bar located on the Old Greenville Highway in Clemson. The ESSO Club has Clemson's longest-established beer license dating to December 1933. RPAA was chartered as a 501(c)(3) charity in 1982. Begun in the summer of 1981, this annual event has raised well over $130,000 benefitting a variety of regional charities benefiting "kids and animals." Local bands play for free and no admission is charged to the grounds where the event takes place, the money coming from the sale of tee-shirts and of cold beverages. Musical styles presented run from rock and roll, and country to Bluegrass and the Blues. More Opry than opera... Spittoono was held in the parking lot of the ESSO Club from 1981 to 1990 by which time it had outgrown the available space. This fact, and a disagreement with the then-owner of the watering hole over the beer sales accounting, led to the music fest moving to the more accommodating space at the Guard Armory in 1991. Spittoono moved to its current location in 2015 after outgrowing the armory field. Due to declining patronage from both the more remote site, as well as the aging of a core group of attendees (plus bad luck with Mother Nature for two successive years), the RPAA is billing Spittoono XXXVII, held August 24-26, 2017, as the Grand Finale. On the final night of Spittoono XXXVII, it was announced from the stage that a new sponsor has agreed to assume the project, so Spittoono lives. The RPAA announced on September 8, 2017, that $18,000 was being donated to a dozen charities, raised during the year's event.

The South Carolina Botanical Garden (295 acres) is located in Clemson, South Carolina on the campus of Clemson University. This garden has nature trails, pathways, ponds, streams, woodlands, trial gardens, The Bob Campbell Geology Museum, and the Fran Hanson Discovery Center, which has exhibits by local artists. It is open to the public every day of the week. The Bob Campbell Geology Museum features more than 10,000 rocks, minerals and fossils and has exhibits focused on geological and paleontological topics. The gardens are the home of the historic Hanover House, which is an early 18th-century house built in the South Carolina Low Country and moved to the Clemson campus. It also has a pioneer village featuring the Hunt Log Cabin, which was originally built about 1825 in the Seneca, South Carolina area. The South Carolina Botanical Garden features one of the largest collections of nature-based sculptures in the country. The extended-ephemeral pieces were each designed on-site by international artists and built by local volunteers and students within one month. Upon completion, the pieces begin to return to nature, so while many may still be found in the Garden, others have disappeared without a trace.

The President's House was built in 1959 to serve as the living quarters for the president at Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina, USA. It has been the home to eight different Clemson presidents and is a key location on the university's campus. This is especially the case for new and incoming students because at the beginning of each year, new students are invited to a picnic on the president's lawn in front of the house. This gives students the chance to meet the president for the first time. The house is located at 120 Cherry Road in Clemson. When arriving at campus from I-85 (SC) it is the first building people see. At night, the building has an image projected on to it in Clemson orange of the Tiger Paw logo.

The Clemson College Sheep Barn (Barnes Center) is a two-story barn built in 1915 on the Clemson University campus. It is the oldest surviving building associated with agriculture on this land-grant university. It was named to the National Register of Historic Places on January 4, 1990.

Clemson station is a train station in Clemson, South Carolina. It is served by the Crescent passenger train of Amtrak, the national passenger rail service. The station sits on the corner of Calhoun Memorial Highway and College Avenue in the heart of downtown Clemson. Clemson is situated on one of the nation's emerging high-speed rail corridors, known as the Southeast High Speed Rail Corridor or SEHSR. The station was originally erected by the Southern Railway in 1916. In the early 1960s, R.C. Edwards, then Clemson University president, convinced D.W. Brosnan, president of the Southern at the time, to prefer Clemson over Seneca as the main station for the area. On January 31, 1979, the Southern discontinued passenger service, turning operations of the Crescent over to Amtrak. In 2016 the station closed for construction on a nearby intersection. An Amtrak Thruway bus transferred Clemson passengers to Greenville.Amtrak's Crescent resumed normal service at Clemson station on August 1, 2019.

Clemson House was a hotel and later a residence hall located on the campus of Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina, USA. It was built in 1950 and demolished by controlled implosion in 2017.

The Clemson University Historic District I is a collection of historic properties on the campus of Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina. The district contains eight contributing properties located along the northern portion of the campus. Included are some of the oldest academic buildings on campus. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

Old Stone Church is a church building built in 1802. When it was constructed, it was in the Pendleton District, South Carolina. When Pendleton District was divided in 1826, the church was in Pickens District. When Pickens District was split in 1868, it was in Oconee County, South Carolina. In 1968, this section of Oconee County was annexed back to Pickens County. The church is about midway between the centers of Pendleton and Clemson. It is now in the city limits of Clemson.

Riggs Field House was a gymnasium in Clemson, South Carolina. It served as the home court of the Clemson Tigers basketball and boxing teams, and hosted campus social events. It was built in 1922 as a replacement for the YMCA Building on a hill overlooking Riggs Field, then the home of the football and baseball teams, behind Barracks No.1 and Tillman Hall. The site was cleared in the fall of 1921 by Clemson cadets, and the building constructed over the winter of 1921–22. The field house contained a full-sized basketball court, unlike the one in the YMCA building, and was used by other athletic teams for practice. The gym opened on January 13, 1922, with a 24–16 loss to Georgia.The basketball team moved into the newly constructed Clemson Field House (now Fike Recreation Center) in 1930. Riggs Field House was demolished to make way for new barracks, today known as the "Frat Quad": Bowen, Bradley, Donaldson, Norris, and Wannamaker Halls.

Johnstone Hall is a dormitory at Clemson University, Clemson, South Carolina that has housed several generations of Clemson undergraduates. Located on west campus, it originally overlooked the student laundry, the coal-burning Physical Plant and the university fire department, and beyond that the stadium and Lake Hartwell. It is named for an original Clemson trustee and, later, chairman of the board, Alan Johnstone, (served 1890–1894, 1905–1929.) Although it had sections A through F, all that remains today is section A and an annex.
