Ourimbah railway station

Ourimbah () is a small township in the Central Coast region of New South Wales, Australia, located about 78 kilometres (48 mi) north of the state capital Sydney. Ourimbah is located approximately halfway between Sydney and Newcastle. The township today consists of small scattered local shops and businesses along the Pacific Highway, as well as the Central Coast campus of the University of Newcastle. Ourimbah had a population of 3,951 at the 2016 census.

The Ourimbah Campus (also referred to as the Central Coast Campus) is a multi-sector campus which offers University, TAFE and Community College programs and courses. The Ourimbah campus is a partnership of The University of Newcastle and Hunter Institute of TAFE. Affiliates are the Central Coast Community College and the Central Coast Conservatorium of Music. Ourimbah Campus is located in Ourimbah, New South Wales, just between Newcastle and Sydney. It is a bushland campus, offering a quiet environment for students and visitors, set on just over 80 hectares. The building program began in the 1990s, and has continued as the campus has expanded, but all of the buildings have been designed to blend with the natural environment. The Ourimbah Campus of Newcastle University was officially opened on Friday 1 September 1995 by The Hon. Bill Hayden, Governor General.Ourimbah Campus lies just off the F3 Freeway at Ourimbah on Chittaway and Brush roads. From the F3 Freeway take the Ourimbah exit, which intersects with the Pacific Highway, and follow the signs to the campus. The campus is within ten minutes walking distance of the Ourimbah train station and local buses drive right into the Campus until 5 pm.

Lisarow railway station is located on the Main Northern line in New South Wales, Australia. It serves the northern Central Coast suburb of Lisarow opening on 31 August 1892 as Jenkins Siding. On 1 February 1902 it was renamed Wyoming and again on 2 April 1902 as Lisarow.The station was upgraded in November 2021, with lifts added.

It is part of the Central Coast Council local government area. The area was largely rural until urban encroachment in more recent decades. It is now a mainly residential area, composed of medium-density housing, with small rural properties on the fringes. There is also a substantial amount of industrial activity around the railway line and station. Educational facilities in the suburb include Lisarow High School, Lisarow Primary School and Narara Public School. The Test cricketer, Alan Davidson, hails from the town. Lisarow shares the largest cricket club on the Central Coast with Ourimbah, their club mascot is the magpie.

It is bounded on most sides by the Ourimbah State Forest, and is home to the Palmdale Memorial Park and Crematorium. It is a sister suburb to Palmdale Spain and home to local motocross champion Phil Bailey.

Niagara Park railway station is located on the Main Northern line in New South Wales, Australia. It serves the northern Central Coast suburb of Niagara Park opening in October 1902 as Tundula. On 27 November 1902 it was renamed Niagara Park.The station was upgraded in August 2021 with lifts added to the existing footbridge.

Fountaindale is a semi-rural suburb of the Central Coast region of New South Wales, Australia. It is part of the Central Coast Council local government area. Fountaindale is also the location of a Rudolf Steiner School, which moved from North Gosford. This school has benefited the community with a new roundabout as well as other road repairs and upgrades.

Kangy Angy () is a semi-rural suburb of the Central Coast region of New South Wales, Australia. It is in a small valley along Ourimbah Creek and the Pacific Highway. It is part of the Central Coast Council local government area. Home to a section of the convict built Great North Road, the area remained important as a hill crossing between Sydney and Newcastle until large scale earthworks permitted the development of more direct roads and highways. Nowadays it is home to several small farms and pasture used for agistment. The valley is bordered by State Forest to the north and west and the Sydney-Newcastle railway line to the south-east. Koalas, grey wallabies, echidnas, wombats, sugar gliders, and many bird and reptile species have been documented in the undeveloped forest of the valley. Some isolated patches of temperate rainforest add diversity to the nature of the valley. The Kangy Angy Maintenance Centre maintains the NSW TrainLink D sets.

Narara ( (listen)) is a suburb just north of Gosford on the Central Coast region of New South Wales, Australia. It is part of the Central Coast Council local government area. The suburb is mostly residential but also holds Narara railway station on the Central Coast & Newcastle Line. It also contains a corner shop and bottleshop, a number of parks, sporting grounds, and a concrete public skatepark. It is the home of Narara Valley High School, a NSW government public high school, and St Philips Christian College Gosford, a private school educating children from kindergarten to year twelve. It is also home to the Narara Ecovillage, which aims to research, design and build a stylish, intergenerational, friendly demonstration Ecovillage, blending the principles of ecological and social sustainability, good health, business, caring and other options that can evolve from our well-being. Narara also hosts the annual Ecoburbia festival, awarded Best Community Event by Gosford City Council in 2015.The name 'Narara' can be traced back to the local Aboriginal term for 'black snake', which appears on the official emblem of Narara Valley High School and the scarf of 1st Narara Scout Group.Narara's claim to fame is that the Narara Music Festival was held nearby in Somersby in 1983 and 1984. The Angels, an Australian rock band, produced an 11 track live album recorded at the festival named, appropriately enough, "Live at Narara". Narara largely consisted of orchards and small mixed farms. Water from the small dams that used to be accessible from Narara Creek Road was piped in wooden piping across Narara Creek to the Railway station to supply steam trains. The dams were also a popular swimming spot especially when the ladder and walkway still existed on the lower dam wall.
