Congress Center Hamburg

The International Gartenbauausstellung 73 (IGA '73) was a garden festival held in Hamburg, Germany , which was recognized by the Bureau International des Expositions. The exposition was the 6th edition of the international horticultural exposition organised under the auspices of the Association of International Horticultural Producers (AIPH) and the second held at Planten un Blomen park in Hamburg. The exhibition took place on the same site where IGA 63 was held a decade earlier. There were some changes to the site location, such as the vaulting of the Marseillerstrasse so that visitors throughout the area without crossing could visit. Instead of a cable car, a park trail was constructed on the site to provide for visitors. The line had four stations and took 30 minutes to complete a lap.

The Alter Botanischer Garten Hamburg (Old Botanical Garden Hamburg), sometimes also known as the Schaugewächshaus or the Tropengewächshäuser, is a botanical garden now consisting primarily of greenhouses in the Planten un Blomen park of Hamburg, Germany. Alter Botanischer Garten is located on the Hamburg Wallring at Stephansplatz and is open daily without charge.

Bucerius Law School (pronounced [buˈtseʁius]) is a private law school located in Hamburg, Germany. The school is the first private law school in Germany. It admits approximately 100 undergraduate students per year.

Hamburg Dammtor is a railway station for long distance, regional and suburban trains on the Hamburg-Altona link line, located in Central Hamburg, Germany. In front is a bus station of the same name for public transport. The railway station is one of four long-distance train stations in Hamburg. The other stations are Hamburg Hauptbahnhof, Hamburg-Altona and Hamburg-Harburg. Despite its size and importance, the station is classified as a railway stop (Haltepunkt) because it does not have any switches, a requirement for a station (Bahnhof) according to the regulations.

Stephansplatz station is a metro station served by Hamburg U-Bahn line U1. It is located at Stephansplatz in the Neustadt (New Town) quarter of Hamburg.

The Audimax is a lecture hall located on the University of Hamburg campus in Rotherbaum, Hamburg, Germany, in the district of Eimsbüttel. It is the largest lecture hall in Hamburg. The 1,674-seat auditorium also hosts non-university events such as concerts and cinema.

Stephansplatz (Stephan Square) is a square in Neustadt quarter, Hamburg, Germany. It is located at the junction of the streets of Dammtordamm, Esplanade, Dammtorstraße, and Gorch-Fock-Wall, south of Dammtor area and Dammtor station. The square is named after German Empire post director Heinrich von Stephan, who is known for his role in the founding of the Universal Postal Union. The square and a small part of the streets of Dammtordamm and Dammtorstraße had been renamed in the course of the inauguration of the historical building of Alte Oberpostdirektion (Old Hamburg Post Office Administration) at the square.

Dammtor is a zone (Ort) of the German city of Hamburg, situated between the quarters of Rotherbaum (in the borough of Eimsbüttel) and Neustadt (in the borough of Mitte).

The University of Hamburg (German: Universität Hamburg, also referred to as UHH) is a university in Hamburg, Germany. The Hamburg State Opera (in German: Staatsoper Hamburg) is a German opera company based in Hamburg. Its theatre is near the square of Gänsemarkt. Since 2015, the current Intendant of the company is Georges Delnon, and the current Generalmusikdirektor of the company is Kent Nagano.

Gänsemarkt is a metro station on the Hamburg U-Bahn line U2. The underground station is located at Gänsemarkt square in the Neustadt of Hamburg, Germany. The station is also known as Gänsemarkt (Oper), named by the nearby Hamburg Opera (Oper) on Dammtorstraße.

Emporio (formerly: Unileverhaus) is a 98 m high-rise office building in the Neustadt of Hamburg. Originally built in 1964 as headquarters of Deutsche Unilever, when Unilever moved its headquarters to HafenCity in 2009, the tower was sold, renamed, extensively renovated and since marketed to multiple parties. Emporio was designed by Helmut Hentrich & Hubert Petschnigg of Düsseldorf and had originally 21 floors at a total height of 90 m. The renovation carried out until 2012 included an additional three floors and a number of state-of-the-art technical and ecological modernizations; among others a double glazed façade and low energy consuming HVAC. Part of the redevelopment is a newly built, six-story street-block, rented to Swedish hotel chain Scandic Hotels.
