Faubourg St. John

The General Beauregard Equestrian Statue, honoring P. G. T. Beauregard, was located in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States. The statue, by Alexander Doyle, one of the premier American sculptors, was officially unveiled in 1915. It was at the intersection of Carrollton Avenue and Esplanade Avenue at the main entrance to City Park, on Beauregard Circle. The statue was added to the National Register of Historic Places on February 18, 1999.

The Pitot House is a historic landmark in New Orleans, Louisiana, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Pitot House is an 18th-century Creole colonial country home located at 1440 Moss Street in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Pitot House is currently owned by the Louisiana Landmark Society, which uses the building as its headquarters. The house is situated on Bayou St. John and was moved several blocks from its original site in order to prevent its demolition.

The New Orleans Museum of Art (or NOMA) is the oldest fine arts museum in the city of New Orleans. It is situated within City Park, a short distance from the intersection of Carrollton Avenue and Esplanade Avenue, and near the terminus of the "Canal Street - City Park" streetcar line. It was established in 1911 as the Delgado Museum of Art.

The Parkview Historic District in New Orleans, Louisiana is a 263-acre (106 ha) historic district that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 1995.The district included 1,349 buildings, 92 percent of which were deemed to be contributing buildings. The New Orleans Botanical Garden is a botanical garden located in City Park, New Orleans, Louisiana. The first classical garden in New Orleans, it was funded by the Works Progress Administration.

Fair Grounds Race Course, often known as New Orleans Fair Grounds, is a thoroughbred racetrack and racino in New Orleans, Louisiana. It is operated by Churchill Downs Louisiana Horseracing Company, LLC. The Carrollton Race Course was completed in 1837 and advertised in The Picayune, holding two races on March 14, 1837, under The Louisiana Jockey Club. In 1838 Bernard de Marigny, Julius C Branch and Henry Augustine Tayloe, organized races at the Louisiana or Carrollton Race Course, laid out on Gentilly Road, making it the second oldest site of horseracing in America still in operation, after Freehold Raceway and before the Saratoga Race Course. It began on April 10 and lasted for five days. In 1852 it was renamed the Union Race Course. In 2009, the Horseplayers Association of North America introduced a rating system for 65 Thoroughbred racetracks in North America. Of the top Fifteen, New Orleans Fair Grounds was ranked #12, behind Evangeline Downs in Opelousas, Louisiana, which was ranked #6.

The Louisiana Jockey Club was an American sporting association founded in 1837 with the completion of the Carrollton Race Course, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Today this is the only remaining Thoroughbred Race Course of the old-line tracks, the others which have closed are the Metairie Race Course (Metairie Jockey Club), the Eclipse Race Course (The New Orleans Jockey Club), and the Jackson Race Course; it exists today as the Fair Grounds Race Course, where races are still held-making it the 2nd oldest continuous racing track in operation in the United States, after the Freehold Raceway and before the Saratoga Race Course.

Carousel Gardens is a seasonally operated amusement park located in New Orleans, Louisiana at City Park. It features many rides, including the Live Oak Ladybug Rollercoaster, a ferris wheel, a drop tower called the Coney Tower, and a miniature train that tours the park. It is also home to one of the oldest carousels in the US, also known as the “Flying Horses”. The park is open on the weekends and closed on holidays. Admission is $4/ person or ride, $18/ unlimited rides, and children under 36” are free. Season passes are also available which last for the year. In the park there are a few important rules guests are asked to follow. A few of the ones which are most emphasized are no pets or food are permitted, and to enter, wristbands are required.

A subdistrict of the Mid-City area, its boundaries as defined by the New Orleans City Planning Commission are: Esplanade Avenue to the north, North Broad Street to the east, St. Louis Street to the south, and Bayou St. John (the waterway) to the west.

Pan American Stadium is a 5,000 seat multi-purpose outdoor stadium, located in City Park, in New Orleans, Louisiana. It is used for soccer, American football, lacrosse and rugby. It is currently home to the New Orleans Jesters of the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) and Motagua New Orleans of the Gulf Coast Premier League. The stadium also plays host to LHSAA football games and soccer matches.
