New Gloucester Historic District

New Gloucester is a town in Cumberland County, Maine, United States. New Gloucester is included in the Lewiston-Auburn, Maine metropolitan New England city and town area. It is home to the Sabbathday Lake Shaker Village, the last active Shaker village in the U.S. The town's population was 5,676 at the 2020 census.New Gloucester is part of Maine's Portland–South Portland–Biddeford, metropolitan statistical area.

WTHT (99.9 FM; "The Wolf") is a radio station broadcasting a country music format. Licensed to Auburn, Maine, the station serves the Portland area. The station is owned by Binnie Media. Programming was simulcast on WBQQ (99.3 FM) in Kennebunk from 2012 until 2024, when WBQQ launched a York County–oriented soft oldies format.

Intervale Farm is a historic farm property at 1047 Intervale Road in New Gloucester, Maine, United States. Its brick farmhouse, built early in the 19th century, is one of the few Federal style brick houses in the rural community, and the connected farmstead is one of the area's early examples of the type. A portion of the farm (34 acres (14 ha) was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004. It is an active operation, raising vegetables and beef.

The Universalist Meeting House is a historic church on Maine State Route 231 in the Intervale area of New Gloucester, Maine. Built in 1839, it is a fine example of a Greek Revival church in a rural context. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Wilsondale Farm is a dairy farm in Gray, Maine, United States. It is notable for its introduction of a specific breed of Holstein cow. It was originally known as Springdale Farm. The farm, of 900 acres (3,600,000 m2), was purchased by New Gloucester's Pineland Farms in 2001. It is run by the Wilson family, as it has been since 1961. The street on which the farm stands, Bull Run, is so named because of the bulls that George T. Merrill and his son, George E., used to have at the farm.As of 2011, the farm had thirty cows.

Pineland Farms is a 5,000-acre farm and recreational property in the eastern part of New Gloucester, Maine. It is partly on the site of the former Pineland Hospital and Training Center.

The Danville Junction Grange is a historic Grange hall at 15 Grange Street in the Danville section of Auburn, Maine. It was built in 1898 for chapter 65 of the state Grange, and continues to be maintained by that organization as a public community resource. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.

Bar Harbor Airlines Flight 1808 was a scheduled flight from Logan International Airport to Bangor International Airport in the United States on August 25, 1985. On final approach to Auburn/Lewiston Municipal Airport, the Bar Harbor Airlines Beechcraft Model 99 crashed short of the runway, killing all six passengers and two crew on board. Among the passengers was Samantha Smith, a 13-year-old American schoolgirl who had become famous as a goodwill ambassador to the Soviet Union and had been cast on the television show Lime Street.

The National Weather Service Gray/Portland, Maine (GYX) is a local office of the National Weather Service responsible for monitoring weather conditions over western Maine and all of New Hampshire. It is situated in Gray, Maine, in the metropolitan area of Portland, in a rural setting.

The Dry Mills Schoolhouse is a historic schoolhouse on Game Farm Road in Gray, Maine. Built about 1857, it is the town's last surviving single-room district schoolhouse, and is now a local museum. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places listings on December 13, 1996.

The Pennell Institute is a historic government building at 24 Main Street in Gray, Maine. Built 1876-86 as a gift to the town by Henry Pennell, it housed the town high school for many years, and now houses municipal offices. A fine example of institutional high style Italianate architecture, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Naval Auxiliary Air Facility Lewiston, located at Lewiston, Maine, is a closed facility of the United States Navy, and was established as one of five air facilities to support Naval Air Station Brunswick, Maine, during World War II.
