Gray-New Gloucester High School is a public high school located in Gray, Maine, United States. It houses grades 9–12, and serves the towns of Gray and New Gloucester, Maine. The school opened in 1962.

Stimson Memorial Hall is a historic government building at 4 Shaker Road in the center of Gray, Maine. Built in 1900, it served for many years as the town's main public meeting space, and is a prominent landmark in the town center. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places for its architectural and social significance in 1992. It is still owned by the town, but was occupied by a church group and listed for sale as of 2015. It was also listed by the state as one of its most endangered historic properties in 2015, due to its poor condition and lack of preservation plan.

The Pennell Institute is a historic government building at 24 Main Street in Gray, Maine. Built 1876-86 as a gift to the town by Henry Pennell, it housed the town high school for many years, and now houses municipal offices. A fine example of institutional high style Italianate architecture, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

It is part of the Portland–South Portland–Biddeford, Maine metropolitan statistical area. and included in the Lewiston-Auburn, Maine metropolitan New England city and town area. Gray is located at the intersection of state Routes 4, 26, 100, 115, 202 and the Maine Turnpike exit 63 midway between the state's two largest cities, Portland and Lewiston. The town includes frontage on Little Sebago Lake, Crystal Lake, and Forest Lake. Gray is home to regional headquarters for the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, which maintains a fish hatchery and wildlife park. It is also home to the Gray/Portland Weather Forecast Office of the NOAA's National Weather Service, which issues forecasts and weather warnings for New Hampshire and western Maine.

The population was 884 at the 2010 census., comprising 11.4% of the town's population of 7,761. Gray (CDP) consists largely of the center of the Town of Gray known as Gray Village. It is part of the Portland–South Portland–Biddeford, Maine Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Programming was simulcast on WBQQ (99.3 FM) in Kennebunk from 2012 until 2024, when WBQQ launched a York County–oriented soft oldies format.

Sabbathday Lake Shaker Village is a Shaker village near New Gloucester and Poland, Maine, in the United States. It is the last active Shaker community, with two members as of 2020. With a new member, it had expanded to three members by 2021. The community was established in either 1782, 1783, or 1793, at the height of the Shaker movement in the United States. The Sabbathday Lake meetinghouse was built in 1794. The entire property was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1974.

Wilsondale Farm is a dairy farm in Gray, Maine, United States. It is notable for its introduction of a specific breed of Holstein cow. It was originally known as Springdale Farm. The farm, of 900 acres (3,600,000 m2), was purchased by New Gloucester's Pineland Farms in 2001. It is run by the Wilson family, as it has been since 1961. The street on which the farm stands, Bull Run, is so named because of the bulls that George T. Merrill and his son, George E., used to have at the farm.As of 2011, the farm had thirty cows.

The New Gloucester Historic District encompasses the rural village center of New Gloucester, Maine. The village is one of the few in Maine's inland areas to be settled in the second half of the 18th century, and has a significant concentration of 18th-century residences. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

The Freeman Farm Historic District encompasses a historic farm property in Gray, Maine. The 100-acre (40 ha) parcel, originally platted out in 1791, was owned and operated by five generations of the Freeman family, and is emblematic of the changes in agricultural practices over a period of more than 150 years. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.
