Remote Radar Head Neatishead ( NEE-tis-hed), and commonly abbreviated RRH Neatishead, is an air defence radar site operated by the Royal Air Force (RAF). It is located approximately 11 kilometres (6.8 miles) north-east of Norwich in the county of Norfolk, England. Originally known as Royal Air Force Station Neatishead, or commonly RAF Neatishead, it was established during the Second World War, and consists of the main technical site located at Neatishead, together with a number of remote, and sometimes unmanned sites. The station motto is Caelum Tuemur, meaning 'We Watch over the Sky'. The station badge depicts the lowered head of a horned bull; and relates to the origins of the word 'Neatishead', meaning 'the vassal's household'. RAF Neatishead was previously 'parented' (for administrative and support functions) by the nearby RAF Coltishall (a fighter station latterly operating four squadrons of the ground-attack SEPECAT Jaguar). Following the closure of RAF Coltishall in 2006, RRH Neatishead became parented by RAF Marham in West Norfolk.

Alderfen Broad is a 21.3-hectare (53-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest north-east of Norwich in Norfolk. It is managed by the Norfolk Wildlife Trust. It is part of the Broadland Ramsar site and Special Protection Area and The Broads Special Area of Conservation, This area of fenland peat has open water, alder carr woodland and reedswamp. Breeding birds include the great crested grebe, water rail, grasshopper warbler and reed warbler. The site is open to the public.

Horning is an ancient village and parish in the English county of Norfolk. It covers an area of 11 km2 and had a population of 1,033 in the 2001 census. Horning parish lies on the northern bank of the River Bure south of the River Thurne and is located in The Broads National Park. For the purposes of local government, it falls within the district of North Norfolk, although areas alongside the rivers and broads fall into the executive area of the Broads Authority.

Cockshoot Broad is a 5-hectare (12-acre) nature reserve north-east of Norwich in Norfolk. It is managed by the Norfolk Wildlife Trust. It is part of the Bure Broads and Marshes Site of Special Scientific Interest, and the Broadland Ramsar site and Special Protection Area, and The Broads Special Area of Conservation. It is also part of the Bure Marshes National Nature Reserve and Nature Conservation Review site, Grade I.The water quality of this broad is very high and it has large beds of water lilies, which provide a habitat for many insects, including red eyed and variable damselflies.Access to the boardwalk through the site is by boat only.

Hobb's Mill, also known as Hobbs Drainage Mill, is an open trestle windpump which stands by the side of the River Bure in Horning, North Norfolk, England, and is a Grade II* listed structure.The mill was built before 1930, probably in the late 19th century. The frame is made of wood, with four braced cant posts standing on brick piers supporting a weatherboarded cap and fantail. In the picture, the four sails are missing. The mill was unique in that it was the only trestle mill to operate a scoop wheel. Both the mill and scoop wheel have been partly restored by the Windmill Trust.

Bure Marshes National Nature Reserve (NNR) is maintained by English Nature in Norfolk, England, within The Broads National Park. It is mostly fen land and includes four Broads which are disused peat workings dug between 900 and 1350: Hoveton Great Broad managed by Natural England Decoy Broad managed by Natural England Ranworth Broad owned/managed by Norfolk Wildlife Trust Cockshoot Broad owned/managed by Norfolk Wildlife TrustThis area of unreclaimed marshland supports many plants and animals, including rarities such as the crested buckler fern, rare moths and spiders, and some of Britain's rarest aquatic insects. In open fens, reed, sedge and marsh hay are still harvested, mainly for the thatching industry.

BeWILDerwood is an adventure park for families located in Horning, a parish in the English county of Norfolk. Self-described as a "curious treehouse adventure," the attraction is situated in a woodland area and features treehouses, rope bridges, slides, zip wires, a maze, and two special areas for children under five called "Toddlewood-on-the-Hill" and "Tiptoe Valley". The original branding was created by Purple Circle.Entrance is as if to the whole forest and the adventure world of rope bridges and treehouses is a river ride away, through the 'swamp' and past the creature who blows bubbles to the surface. The park is set up to give a more natural appearance than typical urban ones with extensive use of natural materials. Swings are three people wide as are some of the scary slides. The park's rides and other features are based on characters and events in A Boggle at BeWILDerwood and The Bewilderbats, books for children written by BeWILDerwood's owner Tom Blofeld and illustrated by .... A Boggle at BeWILDerwood recounts the adventures of Swampy the marsh boggle as he struggles to overcome his fears and be a little braver. In the sequel, Bewilderbats, Swampy and his friends set out to rescue a tiny Twiggle who is stuck up a tree.

Neatishead ( NEET-stəd) is a village and civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. The village is situated some 20 km (12 mi) north-east of the city of Norwich, within The Norfolk Broads and to the west of Barton Broad. Access to Neatishead from the broad is by way of Limekiln Dyke, a narrow channel leading off the broad. The village's name origin is uncertain 'Vassal's household' or perhaps, 'Snaet's household'. The civil parish has an area of 7.71 km2 (2.98 sq mi) and in the 2001 census had a population of 537 in 235 households, the population increasing to 565 at the 2011 census. For local government, the parish falls within the district of North Norfolk. It is well known due to the nearby RAF Neatishead radar station.

Hoveton Little Broad, also known as Black Horse Broad, is a secluded broad of fairly open aspect, in the middle reaches of the River Bure between Hoveton and Horning, Norfolk, in The Norfolk Broads. Privately owned, it was the site of direct action in the mid-20th century by local people hoping to establish the right of free public access to all Broadland waterways.

Bure Broads and Marshes is a 741.1-hectare (1,831-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest north-east of Norwich in Norfolk. Most of it is a Nature Conservation Review site, Grade I and National Nature Reserve. Two areas are nature reserves managed by the Norfolk Wildlife Trust, Cockshoot Broad and Ranworth Broad. It is part of the Broadland Ramsar site and Special Protection Area and The Broads Special Area of Conservation,This is described by Natural England as a "nationally and internationally important wetland complex", which is situated on fenland peats in the floodplain of the River Bure. A notable feature is an extensive area of swamp alder carr on unstable peats and mud. There are a number of rare bird and butterfly species.

St Michael and All Angels is the Church of England parish church of Barton Turf in the county of Norfolk in England. See Inside here. It stands about a kilometre south-west of the village in the midst of a plantation of trees. Particularly notable for its surviving paintings, the church is listed with Grade I.

Irstead is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Barton Turf, in the North Norfolk district, in the county of Norfolk, England. The village is situated at Irstead Shoals, on the River Ant just south of Barton Broad, the second largest of the Norfolk Broads. In 1931 the parish had a population of 113.
