Eppstein station

Eppstein is a town in the Main-Taunus-Kreis, in Hesse, Germany.

The Anterior Taunus (German: Vordertaunus or Vortaunus) is a natural region within the Hessian Central Upland range of the Taunus (major unit group 30) in Germany that lies south of the High Taunus (301). The region lies below the main ridge of the Taunus.

Atzelberg Tower (German: Atzelberg Turm "Atzel Mountain Tower"), also known as Atzelberg Observation Tower for long, was a 30.39 m-high (99.7 ft) German wooden lattice observation tower that was located on the summit of the 506.7 m-high (1,662 ft) mountain of Atzelberg. The Atzelberg Tower had a floor count of 6 floors including both the ground floor and the top. The Atzelberg Tower's top floor measured 30.39 m (99.7 ft) above sea level. The tower also had a roof which measured 31 m (102 ft) from the ground. The observation tower's top floor can only be reached through its 150-stepped staircases. The tower was used from the year of its construction, 1980, until 5 August 2008, when it was ravaged by fire that was caused by arson, as an observation tower on the top of the Atzelberg, which provided viewers and/or observers a good view of the surrounding areas.

Langenhain is a village and a district in the town of Hofheim, Hesse, near Frankfurt, Germany. The village was incorporated into Hofheim in 1972, and it is in the north part of the city. The district currently has a population of around 4,000.Roman settlers first left behind a series of graves near 500 BC, and the first historical references to the town were in 1309. Historical landmarks in the town include the Protestant church built in 1748, as well as some half-timbered houses. The newest and most prominent landmark in the district is the Baha'i House of Worship that was finished in 1964.

Fischbach (English: fish brook) is a Stadtteil, one of six administrative subdivisions, of the town of Kelkheim in the Main-Taunus district of Germany. It is situated at the western border of Frankfurt am Main in the Taunus hills. Fischbach is a middle-class town and has about 5,900 inhabitants.

Schloßborn (Schlossborn) is a village in the municipality of Glashütten, Hesse, Germany. It is located northeast of Wiesbaden and northwest of Frankfurt in the hilly Taunus region. Neighboring communities are Königstein, Ruppertshain, Niederreifenberg, Heftrich, Ehlhalten and Glashütten. Schloßborn covers an area of 1,414 hectares.

Kelkheim station is the most important station on the Königstein Railway from Höchst to Königstein on the western edge of Frankfurt am Main in the German state of Hesse. It is the location of the scheduled train crossings on the single track line. It is the middle one of three stations in the town of Kelkheim and serves the districts of Kelkheim-Mitte and Fischbach.

The Ländchen was a region east of Wiesbaden, Germany that comprised ten villages: Breckenheim, Delkenheim, Diedenbergen, Igstadt, Langenhain, Massenheim, Medenbach, Nordenstadt, Wallau, and Wildsachsen, plus Domäne Mechtildshausen. Ländchen was a Hessian territory for about 300 years. It was bounded by the County of Nassau to the west and the territory of the Archbishopric of Mainz to the east. (It is distinct from the Blue Ländchen at Nastätten.) Breckenheim, Delkenheim, Igstadt, Medenbach, and Nordenstadt are now boroughs of Wiesbaden. Domäne Mechtildshausen is also part of the borough of Wiesbaden-Erbenheim. Diedenbergen, Langenhain, Wallau, and Wildsachsen are now boroughs of Hofheim am Taunus. Massenheim is a borough of Hochheim am Main. The Ländchen gives its name to a railway line, the Ländchesbahn, which traverses this territory.

Kelkheim (German: [ˈkɛlkhaɪm] (listen)), officially "Kelkheim (Taunus)", is a town in the Main-Taunus district in Hesse, Germany, close to Germany's financial center Frankfurt/Main.

The Frankfurt Main Cemetery (German: Hauptfriedhof) is the largest cemetery in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. It was opened in 1828. The cemetery is located directly adjacent to two Jewish cemeteries—the Old Jewish Cemetery (opened together with the Main Cemetery in 1828) and the New Jewish Cemetery, Frankfurt (opened in 1928)—and together they form one of the largest cemetery areas in Germany. The cemetery is noted for its many monumental graves, its garden architecture and as the site of the graves of many notable individuals.
