Besós power station is a combined cycle thermoelectric plant located in Sant Adrià de Besòs, suburb of Barcelona, Spain. It consists of two 400 MW thermal units fueled with natural gas, was connected to the grid in 2002 and is owned 50% of Gas Natural and Endesa.

Sant Adrià de Besòs (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈsant əðɾiˈa ðə βəˈzɔs]) is a city and a municipality within the comarca of Barcelonès in Catalonia, north-eastern Spain. It is situated on the Mediterranean coast, at the mouth of river Besòs, extending to both sides of the estuary although the original settlement with the parish church lies on the left bank of the river, in the northern part of town. Sant Adrià is the smallest municipality of Barcelonès and has close ties with the neighbouring cities of Barcelona, Badalona and Santa Coloma de Gramenet, forming a uniform urban area within Barcelona metropolitan area.The municipality straddles major transportation networks and is served by several modes of public transport. Sant Adrià is currently a town dominated by the service sector, but with a diverse manufacturing sector (especially in the areas of metal-work, chemistry, and construction) consisting mostly of medium-sized companies. Historically, it has experienced several massive migration flows attracted by the important industrialisation of the area during the last century and has been subject of various major urban redevelopments. In 2004, Sant Adrià de Besòs was part of the Universal Forum of Cultures.

Sant Roc is a Barcelona Metro station in Sant Roc, a neighbourhood of the municipality of Badalona, in the metropolitan area of Barcelona. It's served by L2 and since 2007, by Trambesòs route T5. It was opened in 1985 as part of L4 and moved to L2 in 2002. It can be accessed from Plaça President Tarradellas and from Carrer Alfons XII.

Sant Roc (Catalan name; Spanish: San Roque) is a neighbourhood of Badalona, in the metropolitan area of Barcelona (Catalonia, Spain). In 1958 the Badalona city council planned construction on the site, under the name of Barrio del Regadío. It was urbanised beginning in December 1962 and originally inhabited by people resettled from slums in the Barcelona area, after damages caused by major floods. Still nowadays it has an important Roma presence. The Francoist housing organisation Obra Sindical del Hogar y Arquitectura was responsible for most of the construction in Sant Roc, mostly made up of tower blocks.

Primavera Sound (popularly also known as Primavera) is an annual music festival held in Parc del Fòrum in Barcelona, Spain that takes place between the end of May and beginning of June. The first edition took place in 2001 in Poble Espanyol and moved to the Parc del Fòrum, a much larger site on the seafront, in 2005. The nature of the festival (urban and an integrated part of the city) and the wide range of bands represented have made Primavera Sound a meeting point for artists and spectators from all generations. Primavera Sound is one of the largest and most-attended music festivals in Europe and the biggest in the Mediterranean.The success of the festival led to an expansion to Porto in 2012. This one takes place at the Parque da Cidade a week after the main edition. Four new counterparts will be inaugurated in 2022 as new editions are scheduled to take place in Los Angeles, Santiago de Chile, Buenos Aires and São Paulo. A much smaller version of the festival, Primavera Weekender, has been taking place in Benidorm each November since 2019.The festival presents all genres including pop, indie, rock and the most underground tendencies of electronic and dance music. Pixies, Arcade Fire, Queens of the Stone Age, The National, Nine Inch Nails, Kendrick Lamar, Neil Young, Sonic Youth, Portishead, Pet Shop Boys, Pavement, Echo & The Bunnymen, Lou Reed, My Bloody Valentine, El-P, Pulp, Patti Smith, James Blake, Cat Power, Public Enemy, Grinderman, Franz Ferdinand, Television, Devo, Enrique Morente, The White Stripes, LCD Soundsystem, Tindersticks, PJ Harvey, Shellac, Dinosaur Jr., New Order, Fuck Buttons, Swans, Melvins, Psychic TV, Spiritualized, The Cure, Bon Iver, La Buena Vida, Death Cab For Cutie, Iggy & The Stooges, De La Soul, Marianne Faithfull, Mazzy Star, Blur, Wu-Tang Clan, Phoenix, Radiohead, Animal Collective, Sigur Rós, The Jesus and Mary Chain and Tame Impala amongst many others have performed on its stages. At every edition the event has grown both in terms of numbers and in terms of media exposure: press, radio and television both nationally and internationally. Its first edition in 2001 closed with an attendance of 8,000 people, an audience that by the latest edition in 2019 had become 220,000.

The Primavera Sound 2022 music festival was held on 2 June to 12 June 2022 at Parc del Fòrum, in Barcelona and Sant Adrià del Besòs, Spain. After a two year hiatus due to social distancing restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic, the festival returned in 2022 in a new two-weekend format, doubling the capacity of years before. In between weekends Primavera a la Ciutat took place in different concert venues and clubs in downtown Barcelona, featuring many performances including 100 gecs, Boy Pablo, Rina Sawayama and King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard. The twentieth edition of Primavera Sound was considered an Event of Exceptional Public Interest by the Government's Ministry of Culture and Sports.The festival’s artist line-up included Beck, Dua Lipa, Gorillaz, Interpol, Jorja Smith, Lorde, Megan Thee Stallion, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Phoenix, Tame Impala, The National, The Strokes, Tyler, the Creator and Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Antònia Font and Pavement, who also served as headliners, reunited for their first concerts since 2013 and 2010 respectively. The event was marked by its diverse lineup and initial organisational difficulties, as well as the notable tensions between the City Council of Barcelona, the City Council of Sant Adrià del Besòs and co-director Gabi Ruiz about a possible relocation to Madrid. Despite initial controversies, resolutions came forward by increasing staff members and flowing communication with Mayor Ada Colau, who agreed to expand the festival's contract with the city until at least 2027.Around 460,500 people attended the festival in seven days, 65% of whom were foreign, and a large proportion of these were from the United Kingdom. The festival had a significant economic impact, with each spectator spending an estimated average of 1,423 euros. Several Barcelonian independent record stores and NGOs also had representation at the festival.

The Primavera Sound 2023 music festival was held on 29 May to 4 June at the Parc del Fòrum, in Barcelona, Spain. The festival's line-up was headlined by Blur, Calvin Harris, Depeche Mode, Halsey, Kendrick Lamar, New Order and Rosalía.After the two-weekend format introduced last year, the festival went back to the usual three-day format in the city, but held in parallel with the festival held in Madrid with similar lineup a week later. The main festival was supported by shows under the Primavera a la Ciutat banner, which took place in various different concert venues and clubs in downtown Barcelona, featuring performances by Pet Shop Boys, Loyle Carner, black midi, The Comet Is Coming and others. The "Welcome Day" was held on 31 May and featured performances by Pet Shop Boys and Jake Bugg, among others. Meanwhile, the closing Brunch on the Beach party was held on 4 June and featured performances by Purple Disco Machine and Diplo, among others.

The Primavera Sound 2024 music festival took place from 30 May to 1 June at the Parc del Fòrum in Barcelona, Spain. The line-up was headlined by Pulp, Vampire Weekend and Justice on Thursday, Lana Del Rey, The National and Disclosure on Friday and SZA, PJ Harvey, Mitski and Charli XCX on Saturday. It was the 22nd edition of the festival. On Wednesday, 29 May, Phoenix headlined the free "Jornada Inaugural" opening day concert on the Amazon Music stage at the Parc del Fòrum. Parc del Fòrum also hosted a "Brunch on the Beach" event on Sunday, 2 June, featuring DJ sets from performers including ANOTR and The Blessed Madonna. Primavera a la Ciutat continued to be held in smaller local venues throughout the city of Barcelona, featuring exclusive performances from groups such as The Chameleons and The Mountain Goats, as well as an intimate performance by The National in the 2,000-capacity Razzmatazz club. Steve Albini, who performed at every Primavera Sound since 2008 with his band Shellac, died weeks before the festival. A stage was renamed after him in his honor. The festival sold 268,000 tickets, an improvement from 2023, with over 130,000 unique visitors from 134 different countries. 59% of attendees came from overseas, and the United States, United Kingdom and Italy were the most represented foreign countries. Amazon Music livestreamed performances from six stages.

Parc del Fòrum (Catalan for Forum Park) is a public park located between the district of Sant Martí in Barcelona and Sant Adrià de Besòs. It was built in 2004 following Elías Torres' and José Antonio Martínez Lapeñas's original design in order to hold the international cultural event Fòrum Universal de les Cultures, celebrated in 2004. It is operated by Ajuntament de Barcelona and Barcelona Serveis Municipals.

Artigues (also spelled Artigas, both pronounced [əɾˈtigəs] in Catalan) is an area of Badalona (Barcelonès, Catalonia, Spain) neighbouring Sant Adrià de Besòs. The name derives from a real estate promoter and publisher, Francesc Artigas i Solà, who urbanised the area in 1912. The two spellings of the name reflect Catalan orthography before and after Pompeu Fabra's reform. It was also known as Colònia Artigas, following the convention used in similar industrial areas in the province of Barcelona, and even though officially in the municipality of Badalona, it was often considered to be very autonomous from it and closer to Sant Adrià de Besòs. Within Badalona, it's one of the neighbourhoods which make up the town's district 6. It's part of the innermost region of the metropolitan area of Barcelona, not far from Barcelona proper. Its administrative borders are four streets: carrer d'Alfons XIII, carrer de Bogatell, carrer de Covadonga and carrer de l'Onze de Setembre. The immigrant population of Artigues is important, and during political campaign, some political parties have used their stance on migration policies and management in Artigues as part of their discourse.

El Besòs i el Maresme is a neighborhood in the Sant Martí district of Barcelona, Catalonia (Spain). Originally the land had been irrigated by the irrigation of the burrow and the Verneda, remains of an old arm of the river Besòs that empties into the Camp de la Bóta. The neighborhood stretches along the Rambla de Prim. In the neighborhood there is part of the Parc del Fòrum, built for the event of 2004 Universal Forum of Cultures and there will be built the campus Diagonal-Besòs and Zoo Marine.
