Estrela (Portuguese pronunciation: [(ɨ)ʃˈtɾelɐ]) is a freguesia (civil parish) and district of Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. Located in the historic center of Lisbon, Estrela is south of Campo de Ourique, west of Misericórdia, and east of Alcântara. The population in 2011 was 20,128.

The Estrela Basilica (Portuguese: Basílica da Estrela) or the Royal Basilica and Convent of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus (Portuguese: Real Basílica e Convento do Santíssimo Coração de Jesus), is a minor basilica and ancient carmelite convent in Lisbon, Portugal. Ordered built by Queen Maria I of Portugal as the fulfilment of a vow, the Basilica is not only a product of the Queen's particularly fervent devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, but remains the most important architectural endeavour of her reign. The Estrela Basilica was the first church in the world dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Lapa is a former parish (freguesia) in the municipality of Lisbon, Portugal. It has a total area of 0.72 km2 and total population of 8,671 inhabitants (2001); density: 12,026.4 inhabitants/km2. At the administrative reorganization of Lisbon on 8 December 2012 it became part of the parish Estrela.It was created on February 11, 1770, by the Cardinal patriarch of Lisbon Francisco de Saldanha da Gama. This parish of Lisbon concentrates a large number of embassies of foreign countries in Portugal, in particular, Austria, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Finland, Indonesia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Sovereign Military Order of Malta, Netherlands, Romania, Sweden, Switzerland and United Kingdom. It is also the site of the Assembly of the Republic and the official residence of the prime minister of Portugal.

São Bento Palace (Portuguese: Palácio de São Bento "Saint Benedict's Palace") in Lisbon is the seat of the Assembly of the Portuguese Republic, the parliament of Portugal. Originally constructed in 1598, São Bento has served as the seat of Portugal's parliament since 1834, when the former monastery of the Benedictine Order was dissolved after the Liberal Wars. During the Portuguese constitutional monarchy, the palace served as the seat of the Cortes Gerais, the traditional parliaments of Portugal, until 1910. São Bento Mansion, the official residence of the Prime Minister of Portugal, is located within the grounds of São Bento Palace.

The Lisbon Synagogue (formally, the Synagogue Shaaré Tikvah (Gates of Hope) is a historical Portuguese synagogue situated in the civil parish of Santo António, in the municipality of Lisbon.

Estádio das Amoreiras, also known as Campo das Amoreiras, was a multi-use stadium in Lisbon, Portugal. It was used mostly for football matches and hosted the home games of S.L. Benfica. Opened in 1925, the stadium was able to hold 20,000 spectators. It was demolished in 1940 to make way for a freeway. Benfica would then move to Estádio do Campo Grande.

Lycée français Charles Lepierre is an international school in Lisbon, Portugal. The medium of instruction is French. In 1907, a French-medium school was opened on Rua da Emenda by the Société de l’École Française de Lisbonne. In 1917 the school moved to Pátio do Tijolo in the Braancamp Palace near Largo do Rato, purchased that year by the Société de l’École Française de Lisbonne. In 1952, the school moved to its current location. The school is named after Professor Charles Lepierre (1867-1945), a chemical engineer who graduated from the École de Physique et Chimie Industrielle de Paris, who was a student of Pierre Curie and who moved to Portugal in 1888. He was a University Professor at Coimbra University initially, at the micro-biology laboratory, then at the Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon. His areas of research were chemistry, micro-biology and public health. He was responsible for founding the first industrial chemical engineering course in Portugal. The school belongs to the system of schools managed by the Agence pour l’Enseignement du Français à l’Étranger (AEFE) under the French foreign ministry. The school follows the official instructions of France's Ministry of National Education.
