Kebon Sirih, Menteng

Jalan Jaksa (abbreviated as Jl. Jaksa) is a short street approximately 400 meters long at Menteng subdistrict in Central Jakarta, Indonesia. It is located about 1 km south of the national museum, Monas and west of the Gondangdia railway station. The street connects Jalan KH Wahid Hasyim to Jalan Kebon Sirih. The six-meter-wide road offers tourists the opportunity to get cheap accommodation, and used to be a hub for nightlife, however, for several years now the nightlife scene here has dwindled with tourists and locals gravitating towards newer areas. It was designed as the main choice of foreign as well as domestic backpackers who visited Jakarta until around 2016.

North Jakarta (Indonesian: Jakarta Utara; Betawi: Jakarte Belilir) is one of the five administrative cities (kota administrasi) which form Special Capital Region of Jakarta, Indonesia. North Jakarta is not self-governed and does not have a city council, hence it is not classified as a proper municipality. It contains the entire coastal area within the Jakarta Special District. In North Jakarta, an area at the estuary of Ciliwung river was the main port for the kingdom of Tarumanegara, which later grew to become Jakarta. Many historic sites and artefacts of Jakarta can be found in North Jakarta. Both ports of Tanjung Priok and historic Sunda Kelapa are located in the city. The city, which covers an area of 139.99 km2, had 1,645,659 inhabitants at the 2010 census and 1,778,981 at the 2020 census. It has its administrative centre in Tanjung Priok. North Jakarta contains some of Jakarta's original natural mangrove forests. As the city has developed, some of this mangrove forest was converted into urban areas. However, a reforestation project aimed at planting mangroves within an area of 400 hectares was enacted in 2011 and was scheduled to be finished in 2012. The main goal of the project was to minimize abrasion in the coastal area, especially around the Pantai Indah Kapuk area.North Jakarta is bounded by Java Sea to the north; Bekasi to the east; West Jakarta, Central Jakarta and East Jakarta to the south; and Tangerang to the west.

Central Jakarta (Indonesian: Jakarta Pusat) is one of the five administrative cities (kota administrasi) which form the Special Capital Region of Jakarta. It had 902,973 inhabitants according to the 2010 census and 1,056,896 at the 2020 census. Central Jakarta is not self-governed and does not have a city council, hence it is not classified as a proper municipality. Central Jakarta is the smallest in area and population of the five cities of Jakarta. It is both the administrative and political center of Jakarta and Indonesia. Central Jakarta contains a number of large international hotels and major landmarks such as Hotel Indonesia.

Gondangdia Station (GDD) (Indonesian: Stasiun Gondangdia) is a railway station serving by Jakarta Commuterline at Gondangdia, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Indonesia. The location is quite strategic because it is near office areas. On the lower floor of the station complex there used to be stalls occupied by traders who paid rent to PT Kereta Api, but now these commercial spaces have been demolished. The head office of PT Kereta Api Logistik (Kalog) is also located at this station. The area around the station is being renovated to strengthen public transportation integration (with TransJakarta), rearrange the street vendors around the station and make it easier for pedestrians to access. Estimated to be completed in 2021, this arrangement is being carried out by PT Moda Integrasi Transportasi Jakarta, a joint venture between the Jakarta MRT and PT KAI.

The Vice Presidential Palace (Indonesian: Istana Wakil Presiden) is occupied by the offices of the Vice President of Indonesia, located on Merdeka Selatan Street in Jakarta. It is currently occupied by Vice President Ma'ruf Amin.

Cikini is an administrative village in the Menteng district of Indonesia. It has a postal code of 10330. Cikini has a long history that goes all the way back to the colonial period and still there are many structures which were built during colonial period. The area is developed as a tourist destination by Jakarta city administration.

Kwitang is an administrative village (kelurahan) in the subdistrict (kecamatan) of Senen, Central Jakarta. It is one of the historic administrative village of Jakarta. The boundary of Kwitang is the Ciliwung to the west, Jalan Kramat Kwitang to the north, Jalan Kramat Raya to the east, and Jalan Kramat 4 to the south. The administrative village was locally known as the location of the Kwitang book market, especially in the 1970s.

Cut Mutiah Mosque (Indonesian Masjid Cut Mutiah also Masjid Cut Meutia) is a mosque in Jakarta, Indonesia. The mosque is named after an Indonesian national heroine Cut Nyak Meutia (1870–1910) who took part in the struggle against Dutch colonialism in Aceh. The mosque was originally a Dutch property before it was finally transformed into a mosque.

Menteng Cinema (Indonesian Bioskop Menteng, Dutch Bioscoop Menteng) was a cinema in Jakarta, Indonesia. The cinema was designed by Dutch architect J.M. Groenewegen in 1949, one of the architect who was active in Indonesia before and after the World War II. Menteng Cinema is Groenewegen's first cinema project, which would give birth to several other cinemas in Indonesia which has the same architectural style of Nieuwe Bouwen. Menteng Cinema was demolished in 1988, standing above the site now is the Menteng Huis shopping complex.

On 5 October 1991, an Indonesian Air Force Lockheed C-130H-30 Hercules crashed shortly after takeoff from Jakarta-Halim Perdana Kusuma Airport due to an engine fire. It killed all but 1 of the 134 people onboard with an additional 2 people on the ground.

The Heroes Monument (Indonesian: Patung Pahlawan), popularly known as Tugu Tani is a bronze statue and important landmark located in Jakarta, Indonesia. The monument celebrates the heroes of the struggles of the Indonesian nation symbolized by a peasant youth wearing a caping with a rifle on his shoulder, a mother behind him offering him a dish of rice. The caping is a traditional farmer's hat in Indonesia, thus the statue is also referred as the Farmer's Monument (Patung Pak Tani or Tugu Tani).

All Saints Church, also known as the Anglican Church, is an Anglican church located in Kebon Sirih Administrative Village, Menteng, Jakarta. It is the only Anglican parish in Indonesia but there are 35 other Anglican churches throughout the country. The church is located in Jalan Arief Rahman Hakim, close to the Farmer's Statue. It is among the oldest church in Indonesia and was built in 1832. The churchyard of All Saints Church contains gravestones of British soldiers who fell during World War I and World War II, and earlier memorials e.g. Lieutenant Colonel William Campbell (died in 1811).
