The Sainsbury Laboratory Cambridge University (or SLCU) is located in Cambridge University Botanic Garden. Its aim is to elucidate the regulatory systems underlying plant growth and plant development.

The Cambridge University Botanic Garden is a botanical garden located in Cambridge, England, associated with the university Department of Plant Sciences (formerly Botany School). It lies between Trumpington Road to the west, Bateman Street to the north and Hills Road to the east. The garden covers an area of 16 hectares (40 acres). The site is almost entirely on level ground and in addition to its scientific value, the garden is highly rated by gardening enthusiasts. It holds a plant collection of over 8,000 plant species from all over the world to facilitate teaching and research. The garden was created for the University of Cambridge in 1831 by Professor John Stevens Henslow (Charles Darwin's mentor) and was opened to the public in 1846. The third-highest temperature recorded in the UK, 38.7 °C (101.7 °F), was recorded on 25 July 2019 at the garden.

The Stephen Perse Foundation is a family of private schools in Cambridge and Saffron Walden for students aged 1 to 18. The Panton Arms is a pub in Cambridge, U.K. that is often frequented by scientists from the Engineering and Chemistry Department of the University of Cambridge. It became more widely known in February 2010 when a group of scientists released the Panton Principles — a set of recommendations on how to license and label scientific data that have been made public — that they had drafted in the Panton Arms starting in June 2009. The pub features a "white gingerbread building festooned with hanging baskets of petunias and nestled among rows of Victorian terraced houses" with black wrought iron gates. The atmosphere, service and the food at the pub have generated mixed reviews from online reviewers. It serves beer and there is adequate parking nearby. One reviewer described how it seemed "hidden in a residential area". It is the remaining corner and former tap room of a larger site, originally occupied by a brewery.

The Scott Polar Research Institute (SPRI) is a centre for research into the polar regions and glaciology worldwide. It is a sub-department of the Department of Geography in the University of Cambridge, located on Lensfield Road in the south of Cambridge. SPRI was founded by Frank Debenham in 1920 as the national memorial to Captain Robert Falcon Scott and his companions, who died on their return journey from the South Pole in 1912. It investigates issues relevant to the Arctic and Antarctic in the environmental sciences, social sciences and humanities. The institute is home to the Polar Museum and has some 60 personnel, consisting of academic, library and support staff plus postgraduate students, associates and fellows attached to research programmes. The institute also hosts the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research.

St Paul's, Cambridge is a Church of England parish church situated 0.8 miles (1.3 km) to the south east of the city centre of Cambridge, on the corner of St Paul's Road with Hills Road. St Paul's is part of the Cambridge South Deanery in the Anglican Diocese of Ely. The church is a Grade II Listed Building and has a place in the history of the Gothic Revival due to criticism from the Cambridge Camden Society in the first issue of The Ecclesiologist.Since 2022, the vicar of St Paul's is Imogen Nay.

Lensfield Road is a road (part of the A603) in southeast central Cambridge, England. It runs between the junction of Trumpington Street and Trumpington Road to the west and the junction of Regent Street and Hills Road to the west. It continues as Gonville Place to the northeast past Parker's Piece, a large grassed area with footpaths.On the south side of the road are the Scott Polar Research Institute, St Alban's Primary School and the University of Cambridge's Yusuf Hamied Department of Chemistry. On the corner with Hills Road is Our Lady and the English Martyrs Church.To the north between Tennis Court Road and Regent Street is one of the larger University of Cambridge colleges, Downing College, which owns many properties on the road. This area used to be known as Pembroke Leys, a boggy area south of medieval Cambridge. Between Trumpington Street and Tennis Court Road to the north is the Old Addenbrooke's Site, where Addenbrooke's Hospital was located before it moved further out of Cambridge to the southeast at the end of Hills Road (on the edge of the city).

The Church of Our Lady of the Assumption and the English Martyrs, also known as the Church of Our Lady and the English Martyrs (OLEM), is an English Roman Catholic parish church located at the junction of Hills Road and Lensfield Road in southeast Cambridge. It is a large Gothic Revival church built between 1885 and 1890.

Mander Portman Woodward is a group of British independent schools, with branches in London, Birmingham and Cambridge, offering GCSE and A-Level courses. The Sir William Dunn Institute of Biochemistry at Cambridge University was a research institute endowed from the estate of Sir William Dunn, which was the origin of the Cambridge Department of Biochemistry. Created for Frederick Gowland Hopkins on the recommendation of Walter Morley Fletcher, it opened in 1924 and spurred the growth of Hopkins's school of biochemistry. Hopkins's school dominated the discipline of biochemistry from the 1920s through the interwar years and was the source of many leaders of the next generation of biochemists, and the Dunn bequest inaugurated a period of rapid expansion for biochemistry.

Cambridge Muslim College is an independent higher education institution in Cambridge, United Kingdom. It was founded in 2009 by its current dean, Timothy Winter (also known as Shaykh Abdal Hakim Murad). Cambridge Muslim College was founded to support British Muslim scholarship and training from secular and Islamic perspectives. It does not hold a political or denominational affiliation.Accredited by the British Accreditation Council for Independent Further and Higher Education, Cambridge Muslim College offers trained Muslim scholars a one year diploma in Islamic studies and leadership, designed to help them better implement their knowledge and training in 21st-century Britain. It also hosts academics, including early-career scholars engaged in post-doctoral research, as full-time and associate research fellows.
