Dormers Wells High School is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form in Dormers Wells, in the Ealing area of London, England. In 2011 the school building and grounds were rebuilt in a £30 million project designed by Nicholas Hare Architects, with Balfour Beatty Construction.

The Dormers Wells High School shooting was a mass shooting that occurred during a Sikh prayer meeting on the night of 11 November 1987 at the aforementioned school in Southall, London, England. Rajinder Singh Batth and Mangit Singh Sunder, two orthodox Sikhs, opened fire on preacher Mahraz Darshan Das and then the congregation, killing three men and wounding one other. They were then subdued and treated for minor injuries at the hospital. In March 1989, both were sentenced to life imprisonment for murder and manslaughter. Both have since been released.

The London Vickers Viking accident occurred on 2 September 1958 when an Independent Air Travel Vickers VC.1 Viking (registration G-AIJE) with three crew members aboard and loaded with two Bristol Proteus turboprop engines as cargo attempted a flight from London Heathrow Airport to Tel Aviv via Nice, Brindisi and Athens.

Southall DMU Depot was a traction maintenance depot located in Southall, London, England. The depot is situated on the Great Western Main Line and is near Southall station. The depot code is SZ.

Southall Railway Centre is a non-publicised railway heritage centre at Southall in west London, near to Southall railway station and the Grand Union Canal. Formerly of the Great Western Railway the site is now run partly by Locomotive Services and West Coast Railways, both of whom lease the site from Network Rail. The location is not open to the public. Until 2021, the Great Western Railway Preservation Group (GWRPG) leased part of the West Coast Railway section of the site for their own use.

The Three Horseshoes was a public house at Uxbridge Road and South Road at Southall Broadway, Southall, London. It was built between 1914 and 1922 (construction was delayed by World War I) by the architect Nowell Parr.In 1989, the local council proposed to demolish The Three Horseshoes as part of a town centre redevelopment scheme. However, this was opposed by CAMRA, the Twentieth Century Society and English Heritage, who nearly spot-listed the pub to save it.CAMRA call it "perhaps one of the best examples of the earlier Nowell Parr's work".It closed on 4 December 2016 and has been converted into shops and flats.
