Duluth High School

Duluth is a city in Gwinnett County, Georgia, United States. Located north of Interstate 85, it is approximately 22 miles (35 km) northeast of Atlanta. As of the 2020 census, Duluth had a population of 31,873, and the United States Census Bureau estimated the population to be 31,864 as of 2021.This Atlanta suburb is home to Gwinnett Place Mall, the Gwinnett Civic and Cultural Center, Gas South Arena, Hudgens Center for the Arts, and the Red Clay Theater. It is also home to Northside Hospital–Duluth, an 81-bed hospital constructed in 2006, as well as GMC's Glancy Campus, a 30-bed facility located near downtown. The agricultural manufacturer AGCO is based in Duluth.

Rogers Bridge Park is a riverfront city park and dog park (Chattapoochee Dog Park) in Duluth, Georgia. It is a 16.98 acre park located in the northwestern quadrant of Duluth. The park is a few blocks north of Peachtree Industrial Boulevard on Rogers Bridge Road. Surrounding properties include an adjacent private event facility, a sand dredging facility, and single-family residential neighborhoods.

The Superb was used as U.S. President Warren G. Harding's personal Pullman railroad car in a cross-country tour in 1923. After Harding's death, the car returned his body from San Francisco to Washington, D.C. Built in 1911, it is the second-oldest steel private car in existence. It had been used by Woodrow Wilson. In 1926 it was temporarily renamed Pope Pius XI for the Cardinal's Train from New York City to Chicago. Later it was an office car for the Charleston and West Carolina, Atlantic Coast Line and Seaboard Coast Line railroads.The car was donated to the Southeastern Railway Museum in Duluth, Georgia in 1969 and opened to the public in 1995 after a 20-month restoration. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on March 9, 1998.

Notre Dame Academy is a Pre-K through 12 Catholic school in Duluth, Georgia. It is operated independently from the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Atlanta. It was established in 2005. Previously it was a PK–8 school. The groundbreaking for the high school building, on a 21-acre (8.5 ha) plot, occurred in 2014. High school classes began in fall 2015.Another private school that focused on students with learning disabilities, Sophia Academy, merged into Notre Dame, effective August 2017. The previous Sophia Academy campus closed, with operations moved to Notre Dame.

WSKC-CD, UHF digital channel 14, is a low-power KBS World-affiliated television station licensed to Atlanta, Georgia, United States. The station is owned by KM LPTV of Atlanta, LLC.

TPC Sugarloaf is a 27-hole private golf club in the southeastern United States, located within the gated community at Sugarloaf Country Club outside the official city limits of Duluth, Georgia, a suburb northeast of Atlanta. The facility consists of three 9-hole courses designed by Greg Norman, and is a member of the Tournament Players Club network operated by the PGA Tour. It was the home of the tour's annual AT&T Classic (formerly the BellSouth Classic) from 1997 until it ended in 2008. It began hosting the Mitsubishi Electric Classic (formerly the Greater Gwinnett Championship) on the PGA Tour Champions in 2013. The BellSouth/AT&T Classic was always played over the original two nines, The Stables and The Meadows, which opened the week before its first staging of the tournament in 1997. Just weeks beforehand, the property was hit by a tornado which damaged many trees on the first and ninth holes, and leveled some of the corporate tent structures around the 18th green. The third nine, The Pines, opened in 2000. The land was formerly the O. Wayne Rollins family farm, where they kept pure-bred cattle and horses.

The Mitsubishi Electric Classic is a golf tournament on the PGA Tour Champions in Georgia in the greater Atlanta area. It debuted ten years ago in 2013 as the "Greater Gwinnett Championship," and has been played each year at TPC Sugarloaf in Duluth, a northeast suburb. A familiar course, TPC Sugarloaf was a venue on the PGA Tour for twelve seasons (1997–2008) for the AT&T Classic (previously BellSouth Classic). The purse in 2019 was $1.8 million, with a winner's share of $270,000.The tournament in 2020 was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Atlanta Classic was a golf tournament on the PGA Tour, a regular stop in suburban Atlanta for over four decades. It was founded in 1967, although previous events dating to 1934 are included in the PGA Tour's past winners list. AT&T was the last title sponsor of the tournament. From 1967 to 1996, it was played at the Atlanta Country Club in Marietta, northwest of Atlanta. From 1997 to 2008, it was played over the Stables and Meadows nines at TPC at Sugarloaf in Duluth, northeast of Atlanta. For most of its years, the Atlanta tournament was usually held in May. From 1999–2006, it was moved to early April, the week before the Masters. Its final two editions were in mid-May, a week after the Players Championship (which was moved from late March). The tournament was cancelled after the 2008 season.This event is not to be confused with the AT&T Champions Classic played in Valencia, California, a Champions Tour (now PGA Tour Champions) tournament which bore the "AT&T Classic" name in 2006, prior to AT&T's acquisition of BellSouth. It was cancelled after the 2009 season. TPC Sugarloaf currently hosts an annual PGA Tour Champions event, the Mitsubishi Electric Classic, which debuted in 2013.

Northview High School is a public high school in Johns Creek, Georgia serving grades 9–12. The school is a part of the Fulton County School System. Its students primarily reside inside the city of Johns Creek, though the school also serves part of Alpharetta. All students from River Trail Middle School feed into Northview. The school was opened in the fall of 2002 and had an enrollment of 1,752 students in the 2021-2022 school year, 79% of which are minority students. The student-to-teacher ratio is 17.52:1. As of 2022, USNews has ranked the school 252th nationally, 6th in Georgia, and 1st in Fulton County high schools. The school has a 96 percent graduation rate. It is a part of the Fulton County School System. The school's mascot is the Titan.

Sheltonville or Shake Rag is an unincorporated community in Forsyth and Fulton counties, in the U.S. state of Georgia. Some of the community was formerly located in Milton County until the county was dissolved in 1931, during the Great Depression.

The 1990 U.S. Women's Open was the 45th U.S. Women's Open, held July 12–15 at the Riverside Course of Atlanta Athletic Club in Johns Creek, Georgia, a suburb northeast of Atlanta. Defending champion Betsy King became the fifth of seven to win consecutive titles, one stroke ahead of runner-up Patty Sheehan, the leader after each of the first three rounds. Rains delayed the completion of each of the first two rounds until the following day; the final two rounds were played on Sunday.

The Women's PGA Championship (branded as the KPMG Women's PGA Championship for sponsorship reasons) is a women's professional golf tournament. First held in 1955, it is one of five majors on the LPGA Tour. It is not recognized as a major by the Ladies European Tour, which does not recognize any of the three majors played in the United States. Formerly known as the LPGA Championship, the LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) announced in 2014 that the PGA of America would become a partner of the event, and that it would be renamed the Women's PGA Championship beginning in 2015—becoming a sister event to the men's PGA Championship (in a similar manner to the U.S. Women's Open being a sister event to the men's U.S. Open). The partnership included a new title sponsorship agreement with KPMG, an increase in purse, and a commitment by NBC to provide network television coverage of the weekend rounds.The PGA of America partnership also allowed the tournament to be held at various top courses around the United States. Previously, the LPGA Championship had been usually held at a consistent location each year, most recently near Rochester, New York as part of a title sponsorship agreement with Western New York–based supermarket chain Wegmans.
