Kiwitea Street, also known as Freyberg Field, is a multi-purpose stadium in the suburb of Sandringham in Auckland, New Zealand. It is used for Association football matches and is the home stadium of both Auckland City FC and Central United. Terraced seating can accommodate 250 patrons.The stadium is named for Bernard Freyberg, 1st Baron Freyberg.Kiwitea Street was the venue of the 2007 Chatham Cup final.

St Martin's at St Chad's is a former Anglican church located in Sandringham, Auckland, New Zealand. It was the parish church for the suburb of Sandringham between 1915 and 2022.

Sandringham (Māori: Hanaringihama) is a suburb of Auckland, New Zealand. It is a multi-ethnic suburb with a population of over 12,000. Sandringham Village is a walk of a few hundred metres south along Sandringham Rd from the Outer Link bus route, and has a strong South Asian influence in restaurants and small supermarkets, Halal butchers and Bollywood movies. Nearby are Mt Eden, Kingsland, and Chinese-influenced Balmoral. The village has a post office, pharmacy, medical and legal practices, a real estate agency and a community centre. The village architecture is art deco influenced, and most has survived, except the original village cinema. The surrounding streets are wooden villas and bungalows from the 1920s and 1930s. The volcanic cone of Owairaka (Mt Albert) forms Sandringham’s view to the west, and the Roy Clements Treeway on Meola Creek leads from nearby Ferguson Avenue to Rocket Park and the Mt Albert Community Centre. Sandringham was named after the country house of Edward, Prince of Wales in Norfolk, England, still used by the present royal family. The main road is Sandringham Road which runs more or less north-south. At the northern end, Kingsland is located near the Eden Park stadium. Sandringham Village is located at the southern end of Sandringham Road just before it connects with Mount Albert Road. The top New Zealand football club Central United play at the Kiwitea Street Stadium in Sandringham. SPiCE (Sandringham Project in Community Empowerment) is an active community-led development organisation set up by local residents in 2013 that runs activities, events and projects in and around Sandringham. The local secondary schools are Mount Albert Grammar School, Marist College and St Peter's College.

Wesley (Māori: Wēteri) is a suburb of Auckland, New Zealand, located in the south-west of the Auckland isthmus. The area is a part of the Oakley Creek catchment, and in the 19th and early 20th centuries was primarily swampland owned by the Weslayan Mission. The New Zealand Government developed Wesley as a state housing area in the 1940s and 1950s.

The Owairaka Athletic Club is an amateur athletics sports club based at the Lovelock Track in the suburb of Owairaka, Auckland. The club was founded at Anderson Park, Mt Albert in 1943 and moved to its present site in the 1960s with the construction of the Lovelock Track which was opened on April 15, 1961.During the 1960s the club led the world in middle and long distance running under the guidance of the legendary coach Arthur Lydiard (ONZ, OBE). The club has produced many international and national champions, most notably, Murray Halberg (ONZ, MBE) and the New Zealand Athlete of the Century, Peter Snell (KNZM, MBE). It is the training group of Murray Halberg, Peter Snell, Barry Magee, Bill Baillie, Jeff Julian and Ray Puckett known as Arthur's Boys which captures the history of this era. They all trained together and were made Olympians by the end of the 1960s training off the famed Waitarua run through the challenging backblocks of Auckland.With strong coaching a theme during the clubs lifetime, the club is associated with two great coaches, both inaugural inductees of the New Zealand Athletics Coach Hall of Fame: Arthur Lydiard (ONZ, OBE) and through Arch Jelley, OBE, (coach of 1976 Olympic 1500m gold medallist John Walker) the club continued its success producing Olympians, International and National champions through to the turn of the century. The late 1990s and into the 2000s saw the club's senior membership dwindle to social membership as organisational politics led to the senior membership amalgamating with College Rifles Harrier Club to form Auckland City Athletics Club with the goal of rivaling larger Auckland regional athletic clubs. Throughout the 2000s the junior membership of the club continued to be run by club stalwarts who persevered and preserved the club as a piece of international athletic history. Over the next ten years, the members entered non-competitive teams into relay events and maintained the children’s athletics programme.In 2009 the club worked with the Auckland City Council to build new facilities for the club and a new youth centre on the site of the old clubrooms at the Lovelock Track. During the 50th anniversary year of the 1961 Lovelock Track opening, Sir Murray Halberg opened the new clubrooms which coincided with the launch of a new five-year plan to rebuild the full membership of the club. Late in 2012 saw the closure of the existing Lovelock track and earthworks to begin on the resurfacing of old asphalt and black rubber surface to bring the track to competition standard once again. In September 2013, Owairaka celebrated its 70th Jubillee and will celebrate its 75th in 2018.

Dominion Road is an arterial road in Auckland, New Zealand, running north–south across most of the Auckland isthmus. It is a major public transport route that carries 50,000 bus passengers each week, making it one of the few roads in Auckland on which similar or greater numbers of people travel by public transport than by private car.The road, which passes through mostly suburban areas (and several town centres), has been described as having a colourful mix of shops, exemplified by areas like the "United Nations of restaurants" around the Balmoral town centre. There are claims that the road's development has been held back by uncertainty about future roading / public transport development plans for the last decade, which prevented investment certainty, and led to low shop rents.In international popular culture, Dominion Road achieved some fame by The Mutton Birds' 1992 song titled "Dominion Road".

On 23 November 2022, a dairy worker named Janak Patel was killed during a robbery at the Rose Cottage Superette in Sandringham, Auckland, New Zealand. Police subsequently arrested two men in connection with the robbery and killing. The killing of Patel attracted significant attention from domestic media and political figures including Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, Police Minister Chris Hipkins, and ACT Party leader David Seymour against the backdrop of an alleged recent crime wave targeting dairies and other retailers across New Zealand.

Mount Roskill Rugby Football Club is a rugby football club. It has existed as such since it merged with Hillsborough RFC, and was known for much of its life as the Roskill Districts RFC. It merged with Suburbs RFC in November 2016 and now operates as a junior satellite club and has since reverted to its former name; Mount Roskill Rugby Football Club.

Bharatiya Mandir is a Hindu Temple in the Auckland suburb of Sandringham. It is the oldest and first purpose-built temple in New Zealand and officially opened in June 1993.Bharatiya Mandir is a significant cultural landscape for Auckland's Hindu community and Hindu Indian diaspora. It is a site which hosts religious festivities such as Diwali.

The Capitol Theatre, also known as the Capitol Cinema, is a historic cinema in New Zealand. Situated on Dominion Road in Mount Eden, Auckland, the Capitol Theatre is registered as a category 2 building with Heritage New Zealand.

Alberton is a 19th-century house in Mount Albert, Auckland, New Zealand, which is listed by Heritage New Zealand as a Category I structure. The house was built in the 1860s for the Garlick family, major figures in the Methodist community in Mount Albert, later becoming a hub for the Plunket Society in the 1940s and a community centre.

Westfield St Lukes, one of the big three shopping centres in the western suburbs of Auckland, New Zealand, stands on St Lukes Road in the suburb of St Lukes, Mount Albert. It receives about 6 million shopper visits annually. With 43,000 m² gross floor area (2002 data), it features a Farmers, Kmart, Countdown, an Event Cinemas 8 screen cinema complex and over 160 shops. The centre opened in 1971 and is one of the oldest in New Zealand. About 100,000 people visited it on opening day. Westfield invested around NZ$55 million in the early 2000s to extend and renovate the centre.In a 2008 rating of New Zealand shopping centres by a retail expert group, Westfield St Lukes received three and a half stars, just under the maximum rating of four stars, based on the criteria of amount of shopping area, economic performance, amenity and appeal as well as future growth prospects.Annual sales for the full year 2018 were $363.1 million.
