Ōwairaka / Mount Albert, also known as Te Ahi-kā-a-Rakataura, is a volcanic peak and Tūpuna Maunga (ancestral mountain) which dominates the landscape of the Ōwairaka and Mount Albert suburbs of Auckland.

Mount Albert Grammar School, commonly known as MAGS, is a co-educational state secondary school in Mount Albert in Auckland, New Zealand. It teaches students in year levels 9 to 13. As of August 2021, Mount Albert Grammar School is the second largest school in New Zealand, behind Rangitoto College.

Ōwairaka is a suburb of New Zealand's largest city, Auckland. It is under the local governance of the Auckland Council. The area was primarily rural until the 1930s, when the area experienced suburban growth. Ōwairaka is known for the Owairaka Athletic Club, a club that came to prominence in the 1960s, due to the success of coach Arthur Lydiard and athletes Murray Halberg and Peter Snell.

On 23 November 2022, a dairy worker named Janak Patel was killed during a robbery at the Rose Cottage Superette in Sandringham, Auckland, New Zealand. Police subsequently arrested two men in connection with the robbery and killing. The killing of Patel attracted significant attention from domestic media and political figures including Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, Police Minister Chris Hipkins, and ACT Party leader David Seymour against the backdrop of an alleged recent crime wave targeting dairies and other retailers across New Zealand.

Marist College (originally called Marist Sisters College) is an integrated Catholic girls high school located in Mount Albert, Auckland, New Zealand. It teaches from year 7 through to year 13 with an education "founded on the Catholic faith", and as of 2019 had a student roll of 760.The college was associated with a cluster of 96 COVID-19 cases in early 2020.

Ferndale House is a 19th-century house in Mount Albert, Auckland, New Zealand, which is listed by Heritage New Zealand as a Category II structure. The house was built in the 1860s for the Garlick family, major figures in the Methodist community in Mount Albert, later becoming a hub for the Plunket Society in the 1940s and a community centre.

The Ōwairaka, Statue of a Cloaked Woman by Christine Hellyar is a suffrage memorial to commemorate the women of Mount Albert. It is located in Alice Wylie Reserve, Mount Albert, Auckland. It was initially erected in 1995. After being vandalised beyond repair in May 2022, Hellyar remade and replaced it in September 2024.

By 1911, growth in the area had increased to the point where Mount Albert was declared an intdependent borough, which was later absorbed into Auckland. The suburb is located 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) to the southwest of the Auckland City Centre.

St Martin's at St Chad's is a former Anglican church located in Sandringham, Auckland, New Zealand. It was the parish church for the suburb of Sandringham between 1915 and 2022.

Westfield St Lukes, one of the big three shopping centres in the western suburbs of Auckland, New Zealand, stands on St Lukes Road in the suburb of St Lukes, Mount Albert. It receives about 6 million shopper visits annually. With 43,000 m² gross floor area (2002 data), it features a Farmers, Kmart, Countdown, an Event Cinemas 8 screen cinema complex and over 160 shops. The centre opened in 1971 and is one of the oldest in New Zealand. About 100,000 people visited it on opening day. Westfield invested around NZ$55 million in the early 2000s to extend and renovate the centre.In a 2008 rating of New Zealand shopping centres by a retail expert group, Westfield St Lukes received three and a half stars, just under the maximum rating of four stars, based on the criteria of amount of shopping area, economic performance, amenity and appeal as well as future growth prospects.Annual sales for the full year 2018 were $363.1 million.

Wesley (Māori: Wēteri) is a suburb of Auckland, New Zealand, located in the south-west of the Auckland isthmus. The area is a part of the Oakley Creek catchment, and in the 19th and early 20th centuries was primarily swampland owned by the Weslayan Mission. The New Zealand Government developed Wesley as a state housing area in the 1940s and 1950s.
