Mount Roskill Rugby Football Club is a rugby football club. It has existed as such since it merged with Hillsborough RFC, and was known for much of its life as the Roskill Districts RFC. It merged with Suburbs RFC in November 2016 and now operates as a junior satellite club and has since reverted to its former name; Mount Roskill Rugby Football Club.

Auckland City Football Club is a New Zealand semi-professional football club based in the suburb of Sandringham in Auckland, New Zealand. They currently compete in the Northern League. Auckland City have established themselves as a major force in both New Zealand and Oceania, having won eight New Zealand Football Championship titles and eleven OFC Champions League titles since their foundation.Formed in 2004 following the inception of the New Zealand Football Championship, Auckland City currently play their home matches at Kiwitea Street in Sandringham, New Zealand. The club is the most successful in Oceania, having won seven consecutive OFC Champions League titles between 2011 and 2017 – the most consecutive continental titles of any football team in history. This has resulted in Auckland becoming a regular fixture at the FIFA Club World Cup, famously achieving a third-placed finish in the 2014 edition. Auckland City's youth team played in the now-defunct National Youth League, becoming the most successful team in competition history with seven titles.Auckland City's regular kit colours are faintly striped royal blue shirts and shorts with white socks. The current crest, in use since the club's inception, features the Sky Tower, an iconic Auckland landmark. The club has a strong Croatian influence, being strongly associated with and playing at the same stadium as Central United (formed in 1962 by Dalmatian immigrants).

Kiwitea Street, also known as Freyberg Field, is a multi-purpose stadium in the suburb of Sandringham in Auckland, New Zealand. It is used for Association football matches and is the home stadium of both Auckland City FC and Central United. Terraced seating can accommodate 250 patrons.The stadium is named for Bernard Freyberg, 1st Baron Freyberg.Kiwitea Street was the venue of the 2007 Chatham Cup final.

Sandringham (Māori: Hanaringihama) is a suburb of Auckland, New Zealand. It is a multi-ethnic suburb with a population of over 12,000. Sandringham Village is a walk of a few hundred metres south along Sandringham Rd from the Outer Link bus route, and has a strong South Asian influence in restaurants and small supermarkets, Halal butchers and Bollywood movies. Nearby are Mt Eden, Kingsland, and Chinese-influenced Balmoral. The village has a post office, pharmacy, medical and legal practices, a real estate agency and a community centre. The village architecture is art deco influenced, and most has survived, except the original village cinema. The surrounding streets are wooden villas and bungalows from the 1920s and 1930s. The volcanic cone of Owairaka (Mt Albert) forms Sandringham’s view to the west, and the Roy Clements Treeway on Meola Creek leads from nearby Ferguson Avenue to Rocket Park and the Mt Albert Community Centre. Sandringham was named after the country house of Edward, Prince of Wales in Norfolk, England, still used by the present royal family. The main road is Sandringham Road which runs more or less north-south. At the northern end, Kingsland is located near the Eden Park stadium. Sandringham Village is located at the southern end of Sandringham Road just before it connects with Mount Albert Road. The top New Zealand football club Central United play at the Kiwitea Street Stadium in Sandringham. SPiCE (Sandringham Project in Community Empowerment) is an active community-led development organisation set up by local residents in 2013 that runs activities, events and projects in and around Sandringham. The local secondary schools are Mount Albert Grammar School, Marist College and St Peter's College.

The Capitol Theatre, also known as the Capitol Cinema, is a historic cinema in New Zealand. Situated on Dominion Road in Mount Eden, Auckland, the Capitol Theatre is registered as a category 2 building with Heritage New Zealand.

Balmoral (Māori: Pamorere) is a suburb of Auckland, New Zealand that is bordered by Mount Eden, Epsom, Mount Roskill and Sandringham and is located approximately 5 km from the centre of Auckland. It was named around the turn of the 20th century and derives its name from Balmoral Castle, the Scottish country residence of the Royal family. Much of the housing in the area is from the 1920s and 1930s, often in the Californian Bungalow style. Balmoral was part of Mount Eden Borough Council which became a part of Auckland City in 1989. In November 2010, the area was included into the Albert-Eden-Roskill ward (now Albert-Eden-Puketāpapa ward) of the new Auckland Council. A distinctive feature is the numerous Asian restaurants that are located in the Balmoral shopping area and the surrounding Dominion Road intersection.

St Martin's at St Chad's is a former Anglican church located in Sandringham, Auckland, New Zealand. It was the parish church for the suburb of Sandringham between 1915 and 2022.

Bharatiya Mandir is a Hindu Temple in the Auckland suburb of Sandringham. It is the oldest and first purpose-built temple in New Zealand and officially opened in June 1993.Bharatiya Mandir is a significant cultural landscape for Auckland's Hindu community and Hindu Indian diaspora. It is a site which hosts religious festivities such as Diwali.

Maungawhau School is a primary school in the suburb of Mt Eden, Auckland, New Zealand. It caters for boys and girls from Year 1 to Year 6.

Balmoral School is a co-educational state primary and intermediate school in Balmoral in Auckland, New Zealand. It teaches students in year levels 1 to 8, however the year 1 to 6 classes of the primary school are separated from the year 7 and 8 classes of the intermediate school. Primary students wear mufti, whilst Intermediate students wear a uniform that consists of a red polo shirt and navy blue shorts. Te Tātua a Riukiuta / Big King is a volcano and Tūpuna Maunga (ancestral mountain) in Three Kings, New Zealand that erupted 28,500 years ago. The volcano had three prominent peaks known as Three Kings and a number of smaller peaks until most of them were quarried away, leaving a sole remaining large peak known as Big King.

Three Kings (Māori: Te Tātua-a-Riukiuta or Māori: Terī Kingī) is a suburb of Auckland, New Zealand that is built around the Te Tātua-a-Riukiuta volcano. It is home to an ethnically diverse population of about 3,500 people. Three Kings is located six kilometres south of the city centre, between the suburbs of Royal Oak and Mount Roskill. Three Kings features a small shopping mall and supermarket complex called Three Kings Plaza. It also has a commercial area, and an accident and medical clinic. The Mount Roskill library is situated above the Fickling Convention Centre which hosts a wide range of community events. It was probably the most complex volcano in the Auckland volcanic field.
