Ouder-Amstel (Dutch pronunciation: [ˌʌudər ˈɑmstəl] (listen)) is a municipality in the Netherlands, in the province of North Holland.

The Beth Haim of Ouderkerk aan de Amstel is the oldest Jewish cemetery in the Netherlands. It was purchased for use as a burying ground by the Jewish community of Amsterdam in 1614 and is located in the village of Ouderkerk aan de Amstel, in the countryside near Amsterdam.In addition to its age, the graveyard is interesting because the tombstones have inscriptions in three languages, Portuguese, Dutch and Hebrew, and because, unusually for a Jewish cemetery, many of the tombstones are carved with elaborate scenes including human figures. There are two paintings by Jacob van Ruisdael that were inspired by Beth Haim. Although the paintings are usually called in English "The Jewish Cemetery at Ouderkerk", the artist felt free to add picturesque elements, and they therefore do not closely resemble the actual location.

Ouderkerk aan de Amstel (Dutch pronunciation: [ˌʌudərkɛr(ə)k aːn də ˈʔɑmstəl]) is a town in the province of North Holland, Netherlands. It is largely a part of the municipality of Ouder-Amstel; it lies about 9 km south of Amsterdam. A small part of the town lies in the municipality of Amstelveen. It is connected to Amsterdam by the river Amstel. There is another village called Ouderkerk in South Holland, Ouderkerk aan den IJssel.

Sportpark Het Loopveld is a cricket ground in Amstelveen, the Netherlands. The first and to date only recorded match on the ground came in 2003, when the ground held a Women's One Day International between Ireland Women and the West Indies Women in the IWCC Trophy.The ground is used by ACC.

Amstelveen Centrum was a metro station in Amstelveen on metro line 51, a hybrid metro/sneltram (light rail) route that used high-floor trams. The station served the Amstelveen Stadshart shopping mall. The station closed on 3 March 2019 and was subsequently demolished. After closure, the metro line south of Amsterdam Zuid station, also known as the Amstelveenlijn, was converted for low-floor trams. Today, there is no tram stop at the site. Since its opening in 9 December 2020, the trams of line 25 have been bypassing the site without stopping; however, line 5 trams continue to serve Stadshart. In order to increase reliability and reduce travel time on the rebuilt line, five line 51 stations, including Amstelveen Centrum, were demolished instead of being rebuilt as stops for low-floor trams. The former metro station site is 450 metres (1,480 ft) from the rebuilt Ouderkerkerlaan tram stop, and 350 metres (1,150 ft) from the Oranjebaan tram stop. The former metro station was also 250 metres (820 ft) from the Stadshart stop used by tram line 5 which also runs north to Amsterdam Zuid station.

The Amstelpark is a park in Amsterdam-Zuid. The park includes a labyrinth, a café, a restaurant, two galleries, an orangery, a petting zoo and a mini-golf course.

Sportcomplex De Toekomst (Dutch for Sporting complex The Future) is a sporting complex in Ouder-Amstel, Netherlands, owned by AFC Ajax N.V. The complex comprises nine football fields and is located close to the Johan Cruyff Arena. Its main field has seating capacity for 2,000 people. The facility serves as the home grounds of Ajax Women, which competes in the Eredivisie Vrouwen, the reserves team Jong Ajax, which competes in the Eerste Divisie, as well as Ajax Amateurs, which competes in the Derde Divisie.De Toekomst also serves as the training grounds for the first team of Ajax as well as for the Ajax Youth Academy; A-juniors (A1, A2), B-juniors (B1, B2), C-juniors (C1, C2), D-pupils (D1, D2, D3), E-pupils (E1, E2, E3) and the F-pupils (F1, F2, F3). It also serves as the home of the Future Cup, an International tournament for under-17 youth teams, which was named after the sport park.

Jong Ajax (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈjɔŋ ˈaːjɑks]) (English: Young Ajax), also referred to as Ajax II or Ajax 2 is a Dutch association football team, the reserve team of Ajax. It is based in Amsterdam and competes in the Dutch Eerste Divisie.

AFC Ajax Vrouwen is a Dutch football club from Amsterdam representing AFC Ajax in the Vrouwen Eredivisie, the top women's league in the Netherlands. The team was founded in 2012.

AFC Ajax Amateurs or Ajax Zaterdag (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈaːjɑks /ˈzaːtərˌdɑx/]) (English: Ajax Saturday) is a Dutch amateur football club and the amateur team of the professional club AFC Ajax from Amsterdam. They compete in the Hoofdklasse since 2022–23, playing their home matches at the Sportpark De Toekomst training grounds.

In the morning of 18 September 2019, Dutch lawyer Derk Wiersum was shot and killed near his home in Amsterdam. At the time of his death, Wiersum was a lawyer for state witness Nabil B. in the Marengo case against the so-called 'Mocro Maffia' led by Ridouan Taghi. The murder caused a great shock in the world of lawyers; it was called "an attack on the rule of law".

Fusilladeplaats Rozenoord is a World War II memorial in the Dutch city of Amsterdam. 'Fusilladeplaats' might be translated into English as 'firing squad place'. 'Rozenoord' was originally a rose garden, whose name was adopted during the 1930s by a teahouse by the Amsteldijk, a dyke in Amsterdam. Between 18 January and 14 April 1945, German occupation forces shot dead more than 100 Dutch civilians at Fusilladeplaats Rozenoord (at least that many have been identified, several of them resistance fighters). Those events are commemorated 4 May every year. It seems that no-one ever faced trial for those crimes. The inscription on the memorial plaque reads:Op deze plaats werden in delaatste maanden van deTweede Wereldoorlog meer dan100 Nederlanders door de Duitsebezetter gefusilleerd An English translation:At this place, during the last months of the Second World War, the German occupiers shot dead more than 100 Dutch people. In 2014, Dutch artist and sculptor Ram Katzir designed another memorial (Monument Rozenoord) for Fusilladeplaats Rozenoord. It consists of an arrangement of empty chairs on concrete plates with the names of the known victims. There is also one plate for the unknown victims. In 2018, research delivered six other names of victims, so six extra chairs were placed. This monument is situated in Amstelpark.
