Chemberekend Cemetery (Azerbaijani: Çəmbərəkənd qəbiristanlığı) was a multi-confessional cemetery in Baku used until July 1883. The cemetery was located in the southwestern part of the Baku fortress, to the east of the Chemberekend village, a suburb of Baku, on the northeastern slope of the hill known as Pirvanzara. On the city plan of Baku in 1899, drawn up by the city engineer Colonel Nikolai von der Nonne, the cemetery during this period consisted of three sections: the northern section for Muslim burials, the central section for Armenians and Gregorians, and the southern section for Orthodox burials. From the suburb of Chemberekend, the cemetery was separated by Nizhnyaya Chemberekend street. It was demolished under Soviet rule in the 1930s.

Baku Funicular (Azerbaijani: Bakı funikulyoru) is a funicular system in Baku, Azerbaijan. It connects a square on Neftchilar Avenue and Martyrs' Lane. It is the first and remains the only funicular system in the country.

Azerbaijan National Museum of Art (Azerbaijani: Azərbaycan Milli İncəsənət Muzeyi) is the biggest art museum of Azerbaijan. It was founded in 1936 in Baku and in 1943 was named after Rustam Mustafayev, a prominent Azerbaijani scenic designer and theater artist. The museum consists of two 19th century buildings standing next to each other. The museum's total collection includes over 15,000 artworks. There are over 3,000 items in 60 rooms on permanent display. About 12,000 items are kept in storage. The museum changes the exhibits periodically so that more of these artworks can be displayed temporarily.

Azerbaijan State Art Gallery is an organization for preservation and restoration of Azerbaijan's cultural heritage.

The Mosque of the Martyrs (Azerbaijani: Şəhidlər məscidi), also popularly known as the Turkish Mosque, is a mosque in Baku, Azerbaijan, near the Martyrs' Lane. The mosque was built in the beginning of the 1990s with assistance of the Turkish government. The mosque currently is used as an official residence of religious attaché of the Turkish embassy. The mosque has been under construction since 2009.The 154th ayah from Al-Baqara chapter of Quran is written on the façade of the mosque in Arabic and Turkish: “Do not say “Dead!” about those, who died for the sake of Allah. No, they are alive! But you do not feel.”

The Upland Cemetery. (Azerbaijani: Dağüstü qəbiristanlığı) or the Pir-Vanzari Cemetery was a multi-confessional cemetery located in Baku until the first half of the 1930s. The cemetery was placed on the top of the Baku hill, known as Pirvanzari, situated to the southwest of the Chemberekend village, a suburb of Baku. On the Baku urban plan of 1899, compiled by the city engineer the Colonel Nikolai von der Nonne, it can be seen that the cemetery during this period consisted of a number of sections: Muslim, Orthodox, Catholic, Lutheran, Jewish and Molokan. Also, on the territory of the cemetery were located several chapels.In the first half of the 1930s, the cemetery was demolished, and a park named after Sergei Kirov was laid out on this site. In 1990, the bodies of the Black January tragedy victims, and subsequently those who died during the Karabakh war, were buried in the former Muslim part of the cemetery. Today this area is known as the Martyrs' Alley.

Neftchiler Avenue (Azerbaijani: Neftçilər Prospekti; literally Oil Worker's Avenue) is an arterial road in Baku, Azerbaijan. It begins at the west end of the Bayil district of Baku and continues east until terminating at Javanshir Bridge (formerly Gagarin Bridge) intersecting Uzeyir Hajibeyov Street. It is used as part of the Baku City Circuit, including the Start-Finish straight located next to Government House Previous names of Neftchilar Avenue were Alexander II Quay, Gubanov Quay, and Stalin Avenue. The street was named Neftchilar Avenue in 1961 in honour of workers of oil industry in Azerbaijan. The larger section of the avenue runs along Baku Boulevard.

The Baku Turkish Martyrs' Memorial (Turkish: Bakü Türk Şehitleri Anıtı) is a memorial dedicated to the Ottoman soldiers killed during the World War I in Azerbaijan. It is situated within the Martyrs' Lane (Azerbaijani: Şəhidlər Xiyabanı) in Baku. It consists of a monument, an alley with name plates of the martyrs and a mosque. 1,130 Turkish soldiers and officers of the Army of Islam were killed in action in the Battle of Baku of Caucasus Campaign, who fought alongside the Azerbaijani forces against the Bolsheviks–Armenian Dashnaks and Baku Soviets in 1918.The monument was designed by Turkish architects Hüseyin Bütüner and Hilmi Güner in the form of a two-story pyramidal frustum with square bases, of which truncated corners are carved out so that it appears as a sort of octagonal frustum. It is covered by red granite having star and crescent figures made of pure white marble on each of the four main faces that resembles the Turkish national flag. On one side, an inscription is carved underneath the star and crescent figure. On the flagpoles behind the monument, flags of Turkey and Azerbaijan wave. On the surrounding walls of the alley to the monument, the names of the martyrs with their military rank, hometown and death place are displayed side by side. A mosque, built by the Turkish Presidency of Religious Affairs and opened on June 28, 1996, is situated next to the monument. The inauguration of the monument took place in presence of Turkish President Süleyman Demirel and Azerbaijani President Heydar Aliyev with a prestigious ceremony on September 15, 1999. A fountain in the mosque yard was demolished by the governor of Baku following tensions in the Azerbaijan–Turkey relations in 2001. In April 2009, the mosque was closed down by Azerbaijani authorities, and it is still out of use even though Mehmet Görmez, president of the Turkish Religious Affairs, was permitted to pray in the mosque during his visit to Baku in December 2012.

The contemporary Theatre ÜNS was opened in Baku in 2006. The head of the project – professor Nargiz Pashayeva used to call the theatre “a creative stage”.ÜNS this is not an acronym, as it may seem, but the root of the word “ÜNSiyyət”. The word has several meanings: friendship, communication, mutual understanding, inner world of the individual. The name accurately reflects the essence of the theatre project. The conceptual and artistic priorities of the theatre are aimed at rising the level of Azerbaijani theatre art, based on the traditions of the past to combine tradition and newness. The Foundation of Friends of Azerbaijani Culture has been the key investor of the project.The building used to be based on two ramshackle walls of a former transformer station built in the 1920s. Today the theatre building consists of two distinct and organically linked units: the reconstructed and refurbished building of the transformer station (room and stage) and the administrative building made of glass, metal and plastics. The reconstruction was led by the Baku architect Oqtay Sattarov while the decorations of the interior of ÜNS were done by the artist Altay Sadygzade. The sound, light, video and stage have been elaborated and installed by one of the Russian companies.

Flame Towers (Azerbaijani: Alov qüllələri) is a trio of skyscrapers in Baku, Azerbaijan, the height of the tallest tower is 182 m (597 ft). The three flame-shaped towers symbolize the element of fire -- a reference to Azerbaijan's motto, "The Land of Fire", historically resonant in a region where natural gas flares shoot from the earth and Zoroastrian worshippers saw in fire a symbol of the divine (notably at the Ateshgah of Baku and Yanar Dag). The three-flame motif also appears on the coat of arms of Baku. The buildings consist of 130 residential apartments over 33 floors, a Fairmont hotel tower that consists of 250 rooms and 61 serviced apartments, and office blocks that provides a net 33,114 square meters of office space. The cost of Flame Towers was an estimated US$350 million. Construction began in 2007, with completion in 2012. HOK was the architect for the project, DIA Holdings served as the design-build contractor, and Hill International provided project management.The Flame Towers consist of three buildings: South, East and West. The facades of the three Flame Towers function as large display screens with the use of more than 10,000 high-power LED luminaires, supplied by the Osram subsidiary Traxon Technologies and Vetas Electric Lighting.On June 2014 Lamborghini opened its first branch in Azerbaijan, located on the ground floor of the East tower of the Flame Towers.

Aliagha Vahid Garden (Azerbaijani: Əliağa Vahid bağı) is a small square in the historical Icheri Sheher district of Baku located adjacent to the Kichik Gala street.

Filarmoniya Bağı (Filarmonia Park or Philharmonia Garden), sometimes called Gubernator's or Governor's Park, is a park in Baku, Azerbaijan, next to Baku fortress. The park was established beginning in 1830; ship's captains coming from Iran were asked to bring a sack of soil to add to it. It was extended in the 1860s and 1870s to 4.6 hectares (11 acres) and originally called Mixaylov bağı, Mikhaelovsky Garden, after the governor. In the early 20th century, there were plans to create a concert hall in the park, but the necessary felling of trees led to objections. A summer pavilion was built. The park was renovated in the 1970s and then further renovated beginning in 2007 on orders of President Ilham Aliyev. An old-fashioned fountain designed by the French company Inter Art has been added.
