John S. Burke Catholic High School, referred to locally as Burke Catholic, is an American private, Roman Catholic high school in Goshen, New York, and is located within the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York. Burke Catholic is the only Catholic high school located in Orange County. The school's colors are blue and white, with its sports teams, the Burke Catholic Eagles, carrying on those colors. Occasionally, silver is added to the school's colors. The school motto is Non Vox Sed Votum, Latin for "Not Words But Deeds". John Douthit and Janice Clark have been the school's principals since 2017. In May 2008, connecting acres of land to the school were bought by the archdiocese.

Garnet Health is a Middletown, New York-based three-campus health system which, together with its nine urgent-care facilities, "provides care to approximately 450,000 residents in Orange, Sullivan and Ulster counties" in New York State. The hospital's roots date back to 1887.

Goshen Central High School educates students in grades 9-12 from the Goshen Central School District, which largely overlaps the town and village of the same name in Orange County, New York, United States. It is located just outside the north end of the village, located at the end of a short access road off Scotchtown Avenue behind the district's school bus garage and Scotchtown Avenue Elementary School. Constructed in 1976, it is the newest of the district's four buildings. Many period architectural elements are in evidence within, from the earth tones predominant in the hallways and classrooms, carpeting in some, skylights and a courtyard in the south wing. The school's library is named for Noah Webster, who taught in Goshen as a young man in the late 18th century. The 1997 Boys' Cross Country team is the only GHS team to win a state championship. The 2009 Odyssey of the Mind team won the world championship. The Boys' Varsity Tennis team has not lost a Conference Title in over 10 years. The Mock Trial team has won the county championship for mock trial in Orange County for nine of the last ten years, 2005-2014.

The Galleria at Crystal Run is a shopping center located in the Town of Wallkill, New York. It is the second-largest mall in New York's Hudson Valley region.

Scotchtown Avenue Elementary School (often locally referred to just as Scotchtown Elementary School or SAS) educates students in kindergarten through second grade in the Goshen Central School District, which covers the village and most of the town of Goshen in Orange County, New York, United States. It is located on Scotchtown Avenue (Orange County 83) in the northwest corner of the village, next to the district's bus garage and in front of Goshen Central High School. In 2000, a 28,000-square foot (2,520 m²) addition was built on to the original 1956 building at a cost of $5.4 million. It added four new kindergarten classrooms, extended both wings of the building and converted its existing library into a cafeteria, among other changes. Some of the existing space was leased by the district to Orange-Ulster BOCES for its STRIVE program for autistic children.

Middletown–Town of Walkill station, often just referred to as the Middletown station, is a stop on the Metro-North Railroad's Port Jervis Line serving the city of Middletown and the town of Wallkill in Orange County, New York. The station is located in the latter municipality along the former Erie Railroad Graham Line. Two trains end at the station on weekdays, with one of them turning back for service to Hoboken. The station contains an elevated platform for access by passengers in wheelchairs, and expanded paid parking. In a switch from the other stations to receive these amenities, the platform roof at Middletown is green rather than red, platform light poles are brown instead of green and the wheelchair platform is not under the roof. While other Metro-North stations such as Cortlandt and Southeast are named after the towns in which they are located, the station is the only one to include "Town of ..." in its official name, to avoid longstanding confusion with the nearby hamlet in Ulster County. The station replaced the former Erie Railroad station on James Street in Middletown, which maintained service from May 26, 1843 to April 15, 1983. That building now serves as the Thrall Library. Middletown–Town of Walkill station opened on April 18, 1983.

Goshen Intermediate School (also known as G.I.S.) educates students in grades 3-5 in the Goshen Central School District, covering the eponymous village and town in Orange County, New York, United States. It is located on McNally Street in the village, not far from the other Goshen schools. The building was constructed in 1967. It is the newest building in the district after the high school. For the first nine years of its existence, prior to the construction of the high school, it was used as the district's middle school. In 2007 the school's then principal, Mary Ann Knight, caused a small controversy when she forbade a group of fourth-graders from singing an anti-war song they had written as a project for chorus class after a parent complained. While the lyrics did not mention any specific conflict, parents and school officials that it might be seen as expressing opposition to the Iraq War, and they did not want the controversy overshadowing the school's spring concert.

Olivet Chapel, since 1965 known as the A.U.M.P. affiliated St. John's African Union Methodist Protestant Church, is a historic Presbyterian African American mission chapel located at Goshen in Orange County, New York. It was built about 1910 and is a load-bearing masonry building with a bluestone foundation and topped by a high hipped roof. Horace Pippin (1888–1946) was a noted member of the church prior to its moving to Olivet Chapel.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.

The U.S. Post Office in Goshen, New York, United States, is located on Grand Street downtown in the village of Goshen. It serves ZIP Code 10924, roughly contiguous with the village and town. The brick Colonial Revival building was completed in 1936, and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989. E.P. Valkenburgh's design is smaller than most Colonial Revival post offices built during the New Deal in the state. It also features a high degree of decoration for a small post office in that style. The front lobby features a mural of Goshen's major landmark, the Historic Track, by Georgina Klitgaard, that was controversial when the post office was built.

Goshen is a town in Orange County, New York, United States. The population was 14,571 at the 2020 census. The town is named after the Biblical Land of Goshen. It contains a village also called Goshen, which is the county seat of Orange County. The town is centrally located in the county.

Michigan Corners is a hamlet near Scotchtown east of Middletown, Orange County, New York, United States, located at the corner of New York State Route 211 and Goshen Turnpike (Orange County Route 110). There is no sign marking Michigan Corners, although it does appear on local maps. (There was a Michigan Corners Deli nearby, but the business was renamed Scotchtown Deli and Catering in 2007.) According to legend, the hamlet got its name when a local man named Malcolm McLaughlin found himself in debt and skipped town circa 1825. He was away for some time, and when he returned he told everyone he had gone to Michigan. McLaughlin later opened a tavern at this place, and his neighbors referred to his establishment as "Michigan". Soon, the name of the tavern was applied to that section of the town.

The 1841 Goshen Courthouse is located along Main Street (NY 207) in the center of Goshen, New York, the seat of Orange County, New York, United States. It was designed by popular local architect Thornton M. Niven in a Greek Revival style, meant to be a twin of the one he had already built in Newburgh, which at that time shared seat duties with the larger city. Construction of the building was approved by the county legislature in April 1841 and began shortly thereafter.During construction of the building, the remains of American Revolutionary War Loyalist guerilla leader Claudius Smith were rumored to have been found on the site and his skull embedded in the masonry above the front door. A plaque commemorating his hanging in Goshen and the associated tradition was dedicated at the site in 2016.It was used as a courthouse until 1970, when the recently constructed Orange County Government Center made more space available. It was individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975. It is also a contributing property to the Church Park Historic District. As of 2007, an annex to the courthouse houses offices of the Orange County Department of Consumer Affairs and other offices. In 2011, after the Orange County Government Center was damaged by Hurricane Irene, three Supreme Court judges relocated their cases to the courthouse. In 2015, county officials announced a $2.9 million plan to improve insulation and handicap accessibility over the course of approximately a year.
