It is one of the beautiful and model towns in the Kanyakumari district. It falls under the Agastheeswaram taluk of Tamil Nadu. St. Antony's church stands in the middle, which is the major site of attraction of Azhagai.

Marungoor, also spelt Marungur, is a panchayat town near Suchindrum in Kanniyakumari district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The place has an area of about 10 km2. The Subramania Swamy Temple, which is situated atop a small hillock is located here This temple area is called as Kumarapuram thoppur. Shashti and Soora Samharam are the famous festivals at this temple. The famous kandhashashti kavasam festival is very popular here and it is celebrated as a major festival. The villages of Eraviputhoor and Nallur are situated in the west and Mylaudy in the south-east. In the east is Ramanathichanputhur village and in the north is Rajavoor village. Suchindram is about five km south-west of Marungoor. Suchindram Kulam, Suchindrum Temple, Thovalai, Kanyakumari and Vattakottai are nearby tourist spots. Thiruvananthapuram International Airport is the nearest airport. Marungoor can be reached from Kanyakumari, Nagercoil and Suchindram by bus.

Annai Vailankanni College of Engineering (AVCE) is a private co-educational Engineering College in the Indian state, AVK Nagar, Pothayadi Salai, Pottalkulam, Azhagappapuram Post, Kanyakumari District, Tamil Nadu. Ringeltaube Vethamonikam Memorial Church, at Mylaudy in Kanyakumari district, Tamil Nadu, India. It is one of the largest and oldest churches in Asia. It is the cathedral of Kanyakumari Diocese, of the Church of South India (CSI). On May 1, 1996, Mylaudy Church was promoted as a District Church. On April 25, 2006 Mylaudy Church was raised to the status of a Cathedral of Kanyakumari Diocese and South Travancore Diocese. This was announced by Bishop John Gladstone, Moderator of CSI South India. On April 25, 2006, was the celebration of 200th Ringeltaube Vethamonikam Memorable (bicentenary) day. On August 8, 2019, people of Mylaudy celebrated the 250th birthday of German missionary William Tobias Ringeltaube. Every year, April 25, the entire Kanyakumari Diocese arranges a special prayer of Ringeltaube Vethamonikam Memorable Day in the Mylaudy church. This church (Mylaudy CSI Church) shines as the Cathedral of Kanyakumari Diocese.

Kootapuli is a small coastal village in Radhapuram taluk, Tirunelveli district, Tamil Nadu, India. Kootapuli is close to the Koodankulam Nuclear Power Plant.Kootapuli is 21 km (13 mi) east of Nagercoil, 98 km (61 mi) east of Trivandrum, 8 km (5.0 mi) east of Kanyakumari, 30 km (19 mi) southeast of Valliyoor, 10 km (6.2 mi) west of Kudankulam, 4 km (2.5 mi) east of Anjugramam and 90 km (56 mi) southeast of Tirunelveli. In 2013, some residents of Kootapuli were involved in protests against the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant. In 2018, some residents were involved the Thoothukudi violence, a series of protests that ended with police firing on civilians.

The Marundhuvazh Malai, a part of Sanjeevi hills is also known as the Marundhu Vazhum Malai/Maruthwamalai ("the abode of medicinal herbs"), forms the part and the southernmost tip of the Western Ghats in Agasteeswaram taluk of Kanyakumari district of Tamil Nadu, India. People living in southern Kerala call it "Maruthuva Mala". The hill stretches for more than a kilometer and reaches a height of 800 feet at the highest point, from which one can see the 'V' shape of the Indian subcontinent, as well as the three seas (the Bay of Bengal, Indian Ocean, and Arabian Sea), each with different shades of blue, and coconut trees with different shades of green. It is about 1 km from Pothaiyadi (a place along NH44 and NH66), and 10 km from Kanniyakumari town. This hill is also believed to be known in Ayyavazhi mythology as Parvatha Ucchi Malai. Apart from the mythology, this hill is historically related to the life of Vaikundar. A few theologians consider this hill as sacred, as one of the Ayyavazhi holy sites. Narayana Guru attained enlightenment while undergoing penance (tapas) at this hill. Marundhu Vaazh Malai is mentioned in Sri Pada Sri Vallabha Charithaamrutham, a biography of Lord Sri Paada Sri Vallabha (first avatar of Sri Dattaatreya) written in Sanskrit during the 13th century. This place is mentioned as "Maruthuva Malai" and the legend about this mountain is described. It is also said in the holy book that this is a holy land and siddhas and saints live in this mountain.
