Annai Vailankanni College of Engineering (AVCE) is a private co-educational Engineering College in the Indian state, AVK Nagar, Pothayadi Salai, Pottalkulam, Azhagappapuram Post, Kanyakumari District, Tamil Nadu. It was established in 2008. The college is accredited by AICTE and affiliated to Anna University.

Vakaippathi, one among the Panchappathis is a holy site for the People of Ayyavazhi. Vakaippathi is the place situated 4 km northeast to Kanyakumari in the seashore near vattakkotai. This is the place where 700 families from Swamithoppe were sent to Thuvayal Thavasu by Ayya Vaikundar; they were later known as Thuvayal Pantarams. This pathi is not included in Pancha pathis.

Kottaram is a village located in Kanyakumari district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Kottaram the word origin from Malayalam meaning Palace. So Kottaram means not only a village but also a Palace because 18th & the beginning of the 19th century Kottaram village was ruled by Travancore Maharajas and they have constructed Guest Houses for them. In 1947 August 15 India got independence from British and Sri Vallabhai Pattel initiated to divided India as States and the states divided into Districts according to the regional language and the present Kottaram village became part of Tamil Nadu by 1 November 1956. This village used to be a resting place for the Travancore Maharajas. This landmark, called the Chathiram (Free lodge), is occupied by businesses now. A government hospital, Sub-Register office, and Post Office are the main landmarks in the junction. There is also the small Ram temple that was built at Nandavanam (Garden of flowers). There are several temples and churches in Kottaram. People from surrounding villages flock to Kottaram. It is very close to Kanyakumari, Vattakottai, and Marunthuvazh Malai. The Government fruit farm and a bi-weekly farmers market (Thali Aruthaan Chanthai) are also present nearby.

The Marundhuvazh Malai, a part of Sanjeevi hills is also known as the Marundhu Vazhum Malai/Maruthwamalai ("the abode of medicinal herbs"), forms the part and the southernmost tip of the Western Ghats in Agasteeswaram taluk of Kanyakumari district of Tamil Nadu, India. People living in southern Kerala call it "Maruthuva Mala". The hill stretches for more than a kilometer and reaches a height of 800 feet at the highest point, from which one can see the 'V' shape of the Indian subcontinent, as well as the three seas (the Bay of Bengal, Indian Ocean, and Arabian Sea), each with different shades of blue, and coconut trees with different shades of green. It is about 1 km from Pothaiyadi (a place along NH44 and NH66), and 10 km from Kanniyakumari town. This hill is also believed to be known in Ayyavazhi mythology as Parvatha Ucchi Malai. Apart from the mythology, this hill is historically related to the life of Vaikundar. A few theologians consider this hill as sacred, as one of the Ayyavazhi holy sites. Narayana Guru attained enlightenment while undergoing penance (tapas) at this hill. Marundhu Vaazh Malai is mentioned in Sri Pada Sri Vallabha Charithaamrutham, a biography of Lord Sri Paada Sri Vallabha (first avatar of Sri Dattaatreya) written in Sanskrit during the 13th century. This place is mentioned as "Maruthuva Malai" and the legend about this mountain is described. It is also said in the holy book that this is a holy land and siddhas and saints live in this mountain.

The institution which was established in 2001 is located at the southern tip of India, "Triveni Sangamam". The campus is spread over 100 acres.

Ringeltaube Vethamonikam Memorial Church, at Mylaudy in Kanyakumari district, Tamil Nadu, India. It is one of the largest and oldest churches in Asia. It is the cathedral of Kanyakumari Diocese, of the Church of South India (CSI). On May 1, 1996, Mylaudy Church was promoted as a District Church. On April 25, 2006 Mylaudy Church was raised to the status of a Cathedral of Kanyakumari Diocese and South Travancore Diocese. This was announced by Bishop John Gladstone, Moderator of CSI South India. On April 25, 2006, was the celebration of 200th Ringeltaube Vethamonikam Memorable (bicentenary) day. On August 8, 2019, people of Mylaudy celebrated the 250th birthday of German missionary William Tobias Ringeltaube. Every year, April 25, the entire Kanyakumari Diocese arranges a special prayer of Ringeltaube Vethamonikam Memorable Day in the Mylaudy church. This church (Mylaudy CSI Church) shines as the Cathedral of Kanyakumari Diocese.
