The Ernest N. Morial Convention Center is located in Downtown New Orleans, Louisiana, United States. The lower end of building one is located 1,640 feet (500 m) upriver from Canal Street on the banks of the Mississippi River. It is named after former Mayor of New Orleans Ernest Nathan Morial. It has about 1.1 million sq. ft. (102,000 m2) of exhibit space, covering almost 11 blocks, and over 3 million sq. ft. (280,000 m2) of total space. The front of the main building is 1 kilometer long.

The Texas and Pacific Railway (T&P) Station was constructed in 1916 on Annunciation Street in New Orleans. The station was located between Melpomene and Thalia streets. Prior to the construction of the Huey P. Long Bridge, the trains used a railroad ferry to cross the Mississippi River into Gretna. The trains then stopped at the 4th Street station to pick up West Bank passengers before leaving town.The station was demolished in 1954 and replaced by the current New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal.

The Market Street Power Plant is a defunct early 20th Century power plant in New Orleans, Louisiana. It is located along the Mississippi River just upriver of the Crescent City Connection and Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. The plant was constructed in 1905 and last produced power in 1973 when it was part of New Orleans Public Service, Inc. In early 2007, Entergy New Orleans sold the plant and surrounding property to Market Street Properties LLC for $10 million. In September 2015, the plant was sold to developer Joe Jaeger in foreclosure after the proposed development of a residential, retail, and entertainment center never moved forward. There are no immediate plans for development because the Jaeger is currently focused on development of the nearby Trade District on 47 acres between the power plant and Convention Center. Jaeger says that he plans to later incorporate the Power Plant development with the Trade District project, which still does not have clear scope or start/finish dates. The Mississippi Aerial River Transit, or simply MART, was a gondola lift transport system spanning the Mississippi River in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States. It was constructed for the 1984 Louisiana World Exposition. After the fair, this served as the second urban aerial lift and the first gondola lift commuter system in the United States, in operation for just a year before closing. The system featured 53 separate cars, a 2,300 feet (700 m) cross-river cable, twin steel towers that lifted the cable 200 feet (61 m) into the air, two station houses, concrete pillars that anchored the cable and two 358 feet (109 m) steel towers. Each of the two main towers were supported with 12-inch (300 mm) steel piles driven 285 feet (87 m) into the ground, with each tower weighing 200 short tons (180 t). Its twin towers were the tallest ever constructed for a gondola lift at the time. (The London Cable Car in the UK, built nearly three decades later, would exceed this former record by 50%.)

Boyd Satellite is a contemporary art gallery in New Orleans, Louisiana founded by architect Ginette Bone and artist Blake Boyd in December 2012.
