Cashes Green is a substantial residential area in the civil parish of Cainscross on the outskirts of Stroud, in Gloucestershire, England. Although the spelling "Cashes Green" is usual, and locally regarded as "correct", the alternative Cashe's Green also occurs, and can be seen on old ordnance survey maps, and 1970s road signs for example.

Wycliffe College is a public school (co-educational, private, boarding and day school) in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire, England, founded in 1882 by G. W. Sibly. It comprises a Nursery School for ages 2–4, a Preparatory School for ages 4–13, and a Senior School for ages 13–18. In total, there are approximately 800 pupils enrolled at the school. The college is set in 60 acres of land. In 2018, The Duchess of Gloucester officially opened a new £6 million boarding house named Ward's-Ivy Grove. The college attracts students from many areas of the world. Wycliffe is a member school of The Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference (HMC). The Good Schools Guide stated that Wycliffe is "A school which offers a way of life as much as an education...A real gem of a school." The Independent Schools Inspectorate rated Wycliffe as either Excellent in all areas in its most recent inspection (March 2023).

Stonehouse is a town in the Stroud District of Gloucestershire in southwestern England. The town centre is 2.5 miles east of the M5 motorway, junction 13. Stonehouse railway station has a regular train service to London. The town is situated approximately 9 miles south of Gloucester city centre and 3.5 miles west of central Stroud, though following recent development it is partially contiguous with the Ebley district of Stroud. It includes the sub-villages of Bridgend (to the south) and Ryeford (to the east). Stonehouse's population in 2016 was estimated at over 8,000 residents.

Ebley Crossing Halt was opened on 12 October 1903 on what is now the Golden Valley Line between Stroud and Stonehouse. This line was opened in 1845 as the Cheltenham and Great Western Union Railway from Swindon to Gloucester and this was one of many small stations and halts built on this line for the local passenger service.

Ryeford railway station served the villages of Ryeford, Kings Stanley and Leonard Stanley in Gloucestershire, England. It was on the 9.3 km-long Stonehouse and Nailsworth Railway, later part of the Midland Railway. The station opened with the railway in 1867. It was large for a country station and included a two-storey station-master's house. The single platform at Ryeford was unusually wide. Sidings served a large timber yard and a signalbox was sited at Ryeford when the short branch to Stroud from Dudbridge, the next station towards Nailsworth, opened in 1885. The Stonehouse and Nailsworth Railway, along with the rest of the Midland Railway, became part of the London Midland and Scottish Railway at the 1923 Grouping. Passenger services were suspended on the line as an economy measure to save fuel in June 1947, and were officially withdrawn from 8 June 1949. Ryeford remained open for goods traffic until 1964, though the signalbox closed in 1958. The line itself closed for goods traffic in 1966. The station buildings at Ryeford have all been demolished and the line of the track is used as the A419 road.

Ebley is a community in Gloucestershire, England. It was once a village, and is now part of the Stroud urban area. It lies in the valley of the River Frome, 2 miles west of the town centre of Stroud. It is part of the civil parish of Cainscross.Ebley was historically in the parish of Stonehouse. It became part of the parish of Cainscross when it was formed in 1894.Ebley Mill, on the banks of the River Frome, was a woollen mill built in 1818. It is now a Grade II* listed building, and is used as the offices of Stroud District Council.Ebley Chapel is a chapel of the Countess of Huntingdon's Connexion. It is a Grade II listed building.Between 1903 and 1964 Ebley Crossing Halt was a railway station on what is now the Golden Valley Line.
