Abulkasym Madrassah

The Peoples' Friendship Palace (Uzbek: Xalqlar doʻstligi saroyi, Russian: Дворец Дружбы народов) is the concert and cinema hall in Tashkent, capital city of Uzbekistan. The building was designed by architect Yevgeny Rozanov from the Moscow Architectural Institute who one decade prior to that worked on the city's Lenin Museum, modern day State Museum of History of Uzbekistan. The building was completed in 1981. As the largest cinema and concert hall in the country the palace provides seating for up to 6,000 people. The palace is named in the memory of solidarity and friendship of volunteers who came to the city after the devastating 1966 Tashkent earthquake. Up until 2020 the palace is represented on the 100 Uzbekistani sum banknote. Initial plans for the new palace were developed already in 1971. The interior of the building was decorated with ceiling lights, chandeliers, large plaster panels and with three monumental florentine mosaics, named "Peoples' Friendship", "Holiday" and "Land of Flowers", on the banquet hall walls. The building's façade and decorations draw inspiration from national ornamental patterns, reminiscent of muqarnas elements found in local architecture. Local marble, as well as Nurota and G'ozg'on marbles, were used in the construction. Today, the palace is used for various events such as congresses, conferences, festivals, and concerts. Official ceremonies for foreign state representatives are also held in the concert hall. The treaty leading to the establishment of the post-Soviet regional Collective Security Treaty Organization was signed at the palace in 1992 while in 2004 the palace hosted the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation. In April of 2008 the body known as the Republican Commission on the Standardization of Toponyms issued the decision No. 07-5-16 after which the palace was renamed to the "Palace of Arts Istiklol". The decision was nevertheless reversed in when on 26 April 2018 President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev suggested reintroduction of the previous name followed by the formal decision by the Tashkent City Council of People's Deputies on May 3, 2018.

U-Tower (Russian: Ю-Тауэр) is a multi-functional residential complex located in the Shayxontoxur district of Tashkent, at the intersection of Islam Karimov Street and Bunyodkor Avenue. The main building consists of 30 floors, encompassing residential apartments, commercial premises, a two-level underground parking garage, and public areas. After its construction, U-Tower became the second tallest building in Uzbekistan, following the Nest One complex.

Milliy Bog is a station of the Tashkent Metro on Chilonzor Line. The station was opened on 6 November 1977 as part of the inaugural section of Tashkent Metro, between October inkilobi and Sabir Rakhimov. Until 1 May 1992 the station was known as Komsomolskaya, and then until 10 October 2005 as Yoshlik.

Xalqlar Doʻstligi is a station of the Tashkent Metro on Chilonzor Line. The station was opened on 6 November 1977 as part of the inaugural section of Tashkent Metro, between October inkilobi and Sabir Rakhimov. The station is column type with underground and ground-based lobby.

The Tashkent State University of Economics (Uzbek: Toshkent Davlat Iqtisodiyot Universiteti , Тошкент Давлат Иқтисодиёт Университети) is one of the largest higher education establishments in the sphere of economics in Uzbekistan and in Central Asia. It is the former Tashkent Institute of Economics. The university includes: 5 faculties Master's Degree Department 28 academic departments Second Degree DepartmentThe Tashkent State University of Economics has roughly 10,000 students and is one of the largest economic universities in Central Asia. It is divided into functional institutes that strive to provide education regarding the economics of Uzbekistan. TSEU was the first international American-style business school in Uzbekistan and has gained notoriety by building relationships with notable universities in the US, Great Britain, and Germany. It maintains the largest university library in Central Asia. There are the Institute of Economics, Business, and Professional development and Retraining of personnel, Specialized higher business school, Republican economic lyceum, Economic gymnasium, various scientific-research institutes, consulting and training centers at the University. All these structures ensure the continual economic education. TSUE serves as the base university for economic education in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The university employs over 600 faculty staff, including 3 academicians of Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, one academician of Academy of Humanities of the Russian Federation, one academician of Academy of Natural Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 2 academicians and 3 corresponding members of International Academy of Work and Employment, over 50 Doctors of Science, roughly 300 Doctors of Phylosophy.

The Humo Arena, also known as Ice Dome Tashkent or Humo Ice Dome, (Uzbek: «Humo Arena» muz majmuasi) is a multifunctional indoor arena located in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Humo Arena is the biggest hockey arena in Central Asia with a capacity of 12,500 and the second after the Belarusian Minsk Arena in the CIS. The hall will be able to change the placement of seats depending on the sporting event being held. The main arena also provides for matches in basketball, volleyball, handball, futsal, boxing, taekwondo, short track, figure skating and curling competitions, as well as concerts.

Tashkent City (International Business Center “Tashkent City”, Uzbek: “Tashkent City” xalqaro biznes markazi, “Tashkent City” IBC) is a business center under construction in Tashkent. Located in the Shayxontoxur district, between Alisher Navoi Avenue, Olmazor, Furkat streets and Islam Karimov Avenue. Within the framework of the Tashkent City IBC, a business activity zone is being created that will unite business, residential apartments and leisure. The managing company of the Tashkent City IBC project is the Tashkent City Directorate.Construction is being carried out on the site of the demolished mahallas (neighborhoods) of Olmazor and Ukchi, on a territory with a total area of 80 hectares. This is the largest construction project in Uzbekistan. The construction of the project is carried out with financial investments from private investors.The commercial concept of the project was developed by the American company Cushman & Wakefield.Of the 8 projects for the future business center, the concept proposed by the Turkish architectural company Tabanlıoğlu Architects was chosen.

Nest One is a mixed-use development complex in the very center of Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. Nest One is the tallest building in Uzbekistan and the second tallest structure in the country after TV Tower of Uzbekistan (375 m tall). It is a multifunctional skyscraper, 266.5 m tall, located on the 4th lot of Tashkent City International Business District (TCIBC). The central and tallest tower of the complex consists of 51 floors and includes residential apartments, offices, restaurants, sports areas and other public spaces. In the adjacent buildings of the complex are office space and a proposed five-star hotel "The Ritz-Carlton". The total area of the project is 187.284 sq.m. The total area of the land plot is 14.779 sq.m. The project budget is more than 200 million dollars. After construction, "Nest One" will become the first skyscraper and the tallest building in Uzbekistan, as well as the second tallest building in Central Asia, after the Abu Dhabi Plaza complex in Astana, Kazakhstan.

Tashkent City Park (Uzbek: Tashkent City bog`i) is a city park in the center of Tashkent, the largest recreational park area in Uzbekistan. Located on the territory of the international business center Tashkent City. The functional model of the park, within which scenarios for using the park territory were programmed, was developed by the Russian company KB Strelka.The designers of the park were the companies Prime Tower Group, Özgüven mimarlik (Turkey) and Spectrum (Russia), and the developer of the landscape concept was SF Landscape Architecture (Italy). The landscape design of the park, including the arrangement of green spaces, was developed by the Turkish company MDesign. The general contractor for the project was Discover Invest. The official opening of the park took place on October 13, 2019.

O'zbekiston (English: Uzbekistan) is a station of the Tashkent Metro on Oʻzbekiston Line. It was opened on 8 December 1984 as part of the inaugural section of the line, between Alisher Navoiy and Toshkent. The station is one of the vaulted type with two underground vestibules. The station is located lamps, which are made of glass and metal in the form of a cotton boll to disclose. On the walls in the enameled ceramics shown for water, and the ceiling is decorated with ganch. At furnish used marble, granite, ceramics, ganch, metal, glass and other materials.

Kukeldash Madrasah is a medieval madrasa in Tashkent, located close to Chorsu Bazaar and Chorsu Metro station. It was built around 1570 by the Shaybanid ruler Dervish Sultan. The madrasah is built of yellow brick, and has a traditional square shape with a big portal and an inner yard. The walls around the inner yard contain cells inhabited by the students. The portal is 20 metres (66 ft) high and contains two towers at its sides.In 1830-1831 the first floor of the madrasah was demolished, and the bricks were used to build the nearby Beklarbegi Madrasah. It was later restored. The madrasah was damaged by the earthquake in 1868 and subsequently reconstructed in 1902–1903. It was reconstructed again in the 1950s and became one of only several religious buildings which survived the 1966 Tashkent earthquake.The madrasah was converted into a caravanserai in the 18th century, then it served as a fortress. In the 20th century it was a museum, first of atheism, and later of folk music. In the 1990s, the building became a madrasah again.

JAR Stadium is a football stadium, located in the capital of Uzbekistan, in Tashkent. It is part of the JAR Sport Complex. The stadium seats 8,500 spectators. JAR Stadium opened in 1998. It was renovated in 2005. At the end of 2008, when the MHSK Stadium was demolished, the Bunyodkor football club temporarily moved to the Jar Stadium, and even after building its new Bunyodkor Stadium (now Milliy Stadium) in 2013, the club held some home matches at this stadium the end of 2015. In 2012, during the renovation of the Pakhtakor Stadium, at this stadium, Pakhtakor played their home games for the floor of the season. In addition, the national, olympic, youth and women teams of Uzbekistan hold some matches at this stadium. From the season of 2016, the stadium has been rented by the club - Obod. Also at the stadium, the women's national football teams of Uzbekistan, different in age, hold their own matches. The JAR Stadium is also one of the bases of the national team of Uzbekistan and the main training stadium for preparations for matches and camps. In 2009, the famous Portuguese football player Cristiano Ronaldo held a master class at the Jar stadium. Ronaldo conducted master class for young football players at the Bunyodkor’s Jar stadium and showed his tricks to fans, who came to stadium this day.
