Blackwood is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located within Gloucester Township, in Camden County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the CDP's population was 4,545. It is located 10 miles (16 km) from the city of Camden and 14.6 miles (23.5 km) away from Philadelphia. Blackwood is the home of the main campus of Camden County College, in addition to other campus locations in Camden and Cherry Hill. Blackwood is also home to Camden County College's radio station WDBK.

Gloucester Township is a township in Camden County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the township had a total population of 64,634, reflecting an increase of 284 (+0.4%) from the 64,350 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 10,553 (+19.6%) from the 53,797 counted in the 1990 Census. The township ranked as the 19th most-populous municipality in the state in 2010 after having been ranked 18th in 2000.Gloucester Township was formed on June 1, 1695, while the area was still part of Gloucester County. It was incorporated as one of New Jersey's first 104 townships by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on February 21, 1798. It became part of the newly created Camden County upon its formation on March 13, 1844. The Chew-Powell House is a historic building in the Blenheim section of Gloucester Township, Camden County, New Jersey, United States. It was built in 1688 by James Whitall. The Chew-Powell-Wallens Burying Ground, next to the house, is considered to be the oldest cemetery in the township, and it reportedly contains the remains of early settlers, soldiers of the Revolutionary and Civil Wars and Leni Lenape Native Americans. The well-preserved structure, which is privately owned and maintained, currently serves as a private residence. It was listed in the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's Historic Preservation Office in 1974 (ID# 957), and the National Register of Historic Places three months later in 1975 (NR reference #: 75001127).

The congregation was founded in 1789 and the current church building was designed by George Watson Hewitt and consecrated by the Rt. Rev. John Scarborough on November 9, 1881.The church and burying ground were added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
