Cristo Rey Jesuit High School is a Jesuit high school on the near Lower West Side of Chicago, Illinois. It is the founding school of the Cristo Rey Network and is affiliated with the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago. Cristo Rey Jesuit High School was established in 1996 and provides college-preparatory education. The school places students at entry-level jobs that cover some of their tuition costs.

The National Museum of Mexican Art (Formerly known as the Mexican Fine Arts Center Museum) is a museum which features Mexican, Latino, and Chicano art and culture. The museum was founded in 1982 by Carlos Tortolero and Helen Valdez. Located in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois, the current building in Harrison Park opened on March 27, 1987. The museum is the only Latino museum accredited by the American Alliance of Museums. The mission of the museum is to display Mexican culture as one sin fronteras (without borders). The museum describes itself as the largest Latino cultural institution in America.

Western is a station on the Chicago Transit Authority's 'L' system, serving the Pink Line. It is located in the Heart of Chicago and Heart of Italy neighborhoods in the Lower West Side community area. The station was originally built in 1896 as part of the Metropolitan West Side Elevated Railroad's Douglas Park branch. It was rebuilt around 1935, and again between 2002 and 2004. It is located near Metra's Western Avenue & 18th Place (Metra) station on the BNSF Railway Line.

Western Avenue (also known as Western Avenue & 18th Place) is a station on Metra's BNSF Line located in Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The station consists of one side platform and one island platform for outbound and inbound trains. The station has no station house, though shelters are provided. Amtrak and BNSF Railway trains run on tracks parallel to the station. The station is 3.7 miles (6.0 km) away from Union Station, the eastern terminus of the BNSF Line. As of 2018, Western Avenue is the 208th busiest of Metra's 236 non-downtown stations, with an average of 57 weekday boardings.Western Avenue station is located near the Western Pink Line 'L' station, as well as the Western station on the Blue Line's Congress branch. It is also located near an overpass for CSX Transportation and the Norfolk Southern Railway and a BNSF Railway yard.

The Cable Company (earlier, Wolfinger Organ Company, Chicago Cottage Organ Company; sometimes called by the name of its subsidiary, The Cable Piano Company) was an American manufacturer and distributor of pianos and reed organs that operated independently from 1880 to 1936. Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, the company proclaimed itself "the world's greatest manufacturer of pianos, inner player pianos, and organs". It was indubitably one of the largest, and maintained that status for several decades during the apogee of U.S. piano sales, the so-called Golden Age of the Piano. Trade publications of the day called it "the largest reed organ house in the world, and the largest wholesaler in the world of medium-grade pianos" (1895); "the largest piano and organ makers in the world" (1904); and "one of the 'great leaders' in the trade" (1922). Its premium Conover line of pianos was noted as belonging to "the highest grade manufactured". The decline of the piano market in the late 1920s followed by the Great Depression forced The Cable Company to merge with another northern-Illinois piano maker in 1936, becoming The Schiller Cable Manufacturing Company. In 1950, the merged company was subsumed into the Aeolian Company, which closed in 1984.

St. Vitus's Church Complex was a former late-nineteenth-century Roman Catholic church located in Pilsen, Chicago, Illinois at 1814 South Paulina Street, and corner of 18th Street. The church itself was closed in 1990 and the rectory and remaining space adaptively reused as the Guadalupano Family Center, a daycare and cultural center thereafter. The complex contained a 4,500-square-foot (420 m2) church (1896–1897), rectory (1898), and parish school (1902). The complex was closed 1990. The National Trust for Historic Preservation profiled the structure as a good example of adaptive reuse: "A community task force collaborated with area interfaith organizations to develop a non-profit community development corporation called The Resurrection Project. This group was organized to specifically focus on developing and overseeing uses for the complex, as well as developing numerous low-income and affordable housing units and residences in the area." The church was renovated 1992-1996 as a "state-of-the-art day care facility was designed for the former parochial school, and plans are underway for a cultural center in the now hollow sanctuary space that was destroyed by a fire….The Resurrection Project operates one of the most active community reinvestment programs in the area from the [church]," costing $1.2 million for conversion of school and $400,000, anticipated repairs to church.Its location in a Latino neighborhood enabled its large number of parishioners to work with the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago to explore reuse options with a team of architects, urban planners, historic preservationists, low-income housing specialists, commercial developers, and educators to create Guadalupano Family Center, a day care and cultural activity center. Opened in 1994, the child care facility "that operates on a sliding scale fee, serving the population of 6,000 children between 3 and 12 years of age living within 1/2 mile of the center. The center also employs a staff of 22 teachers."

18th is an 'L' station on the CTA's Pink Line. It is located at 1710 West 18th Street in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The station is decorated with colorful murals painted by local artists from Pilsen.

St. Adalbert Church (Polish: Kościół Świętego Wojciecha) is a historic church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago. The church is located on 17th Street between Paulina Street and Ashland Avenue in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. St. Adalbert has served generations of Polish immigrants and their American-born children; at its peak, parish membership numbered 4,000 families with more than 2,000 children enrolled in the school. Today, the church is an anchor for the Mexican immigrants that have made the Pilsen area their home. The church is named after St. Adalbert of Prague. In June 2019, the Archdiocese of Chicago announced that the church would permanently close on July 15, 2019.

UIC College Prep is a public. four-year Charter high school located in Chicago, Illinois. It is operated by the Noble Network of Charter Schools. The school has a partnership with the University of Illinois at Chicago.
