Wednesbury Great Western Street tram stop is a tram stop in Wednesbury, Sandwell, England. It was opened on 31 May 1999 and is situated on West Midlands Metro Line 1. The stop is next to the West Midlands Metro tram depot. The stop and depot are on the site of the old Wednesbury Central railway station, which closed in 1972, though the section of railway on which the tram stop currently stands remained open to goods trains until 1992.The stop is overlooked by a statue of Sleipnir, Odin's mythical eight-legged horse, by Steve Field, commissioned by Altram, the company that built the West Midlands Metro.

Wednesbury Central railway station was a station on the Great Western Railway's London Paddington to Birkenhead via Birmingham Snow Hill line. It was opened as Wednesbury in 1854 and was one of two stations serving Wednesbury in the West Midlands. It was renamed to Wednesbury Central in 1950 following nationalisation. It closed along with the Birmingham to Wolverhampton section of the line in 1972.

It was founded in 1921 and is the home of the world's tallest rugby posts.Fabricated from steel tube by Irvon steel and galvanized by Joseph Ash, the posts stand 38.26 m (125.5 ft; 1,506 in) high, and needed a special crane to help erect them. The posts surpassed the previous tallest of 110 ft 1/2 in (33.54 m) that can be found at the Roan Antelope club in Zambia, Africa.The club currently stands in the Midlands 4 North West League and regularly runs out two teams on a weekly basis, A 1st XV playing the league and cup matches and a Development (2nd XV) Team playing the in Merit League. Wednesbury Rugby Club have also in the past 12 months (2019-2020) relaunched their youth and mini teams, gaining over 50 new youth and mini players in preparation to join the leagues and play competitive rugby at all age groups.

King's Hill is an area between Wednesbury and Darlaston in the Metropolitan Borough of Walsall in the West Midlands county in England. It is located to the southeast of Darlaston town centre and close to the Junction 9 of the M6 motorway between Bescot and Wednesbury.
