Munro, Buenos Aires

Florida Oeste is a city of the Vicente López Partido in the northern suburbs of Greater Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is principally a middle-class and industrial neighbourhood located between the barrios of Villa Martelli and Munro, also in the same partido (department).

The Instituto La Salle Florida is an Argentine private school founded in 1934 and located in Florida, Vicente López Partido, Buenos Aires Province. Although it is managed by lay people, it belongs to the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, a Roman Catholic religious teaching congregation created by French priest and educational reformer Jean-Baptiste de La Salle in 1680. Originally established as a boys-only school, nowadays both male and female students attend classes. It offers early childhood, primary, secondary and tertiary education. In recent years, the school has organized a marathon in order to raise funds for charitable purposes.

Carapachay is a town located in Vicente López Partido in Argentina. It forms part of the Greater Buenos Aires agglomeration.

Villa Adelina is a city in Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. It is divided between the counties (partidos) of San Isidro and Vicente López and forms part of the urban conurbation of Greater Buenos Aires. The town is named after Adelina Munro Drysdale, whose grandfather was a British railway official in Argentina.

Villa Ballester is a city located in the northern Greater Buenos Aires urban area and it is part of the General San Martín Partido in Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. It is served by the Línea Mitre commuter railway with its station also named Villa Ballester. Founded on 26 October 1889.

Florida is a neighborhood in Vicente López Partido, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. The community is a suburb in the Buenos Aires metropolitan area. In 2020 the population was estimated at 48,158, making it the second most populated neighborhood in Vicente López Partido. It is 15 kilometers north of downtown Buenos Aires. Florida grew and prospered in the late 1800s when it became a railway stop; the community became progressively more urban and started to receive Italian and English immigrants who set small farms that provided vegetables and fruits to nearby Buenos Aires. Nowadays it is an upper middle class residential area serving as a bedroom community. It is bordered to the east by Vicente López neighborhood, to the north by Olivos, to the south by the city of Buenos Aires, and to the west by Villa Martelli.

Unicenter is a major shopping and entertainment complex in Greater Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is located by the Panamerican Highway in Martínez, 17 mi (25 km) northwest of downtown Buenos Aires. It is just north of the Panamerican, on Calle Paraná. Unicenter was opened in 1988, the first shopping centre of its size in Argentina. It has 300 stores, largely branches of national and international chains that include: Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Christian Dior, Christian Lacroix, Zara, Yves Saint Laurent, Swarovski, Armani Exchange, Levi's, Nike, Adidas, Calvin Klein, as well as a major supermarket (Jumbo), a department store (Falabella), a 14-screen cinema with one of the most advanced sound systems in South America (operated by Hoyts), and a food court. Facing Unicenter across the Panamerican is Norcenter Lifestyle Mall (Norcenter), a cinema, shopping and entertainment complex, which boasts the only Imax center in Argentina.

Avenida General Paz (official name Ruta Nacional A001 - National Route A001) is a beltway freeway surrounding the city of Buenos Aires. Roughly following the boundary between the city and Buenos Aires Province, it is one of the few motorways in Argentina that is toll-free. It carries three lanes of traffic in each direction during most of its length, and five lanes between the Pan-American Highway and the Río de la Plata. There are feeder roads in both directions and there are service areas along its length, usually with a gas station and fast food restaurants. The route was the first highway in Argentina, built between 1937 and 1941 with a cost of m$n 24 million, and officially inaugurated on July 5, 1941.

The Torre Ader (Ader Tower in English) is an 18th-century Florentine-style tower located in Carapachay in Vicente López Partido, Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is an historical monument built in similar style to the Torre Monumental (Monumental Tower) in Buenos Aires. It reaches a height of 42.30 m (138 ft 9+1⁄2 in) The tower was conceived in 1916 by Bernado Ader as Torre de la Independencia (Independence Tower) in honour of his deceased children and as a monument to the centenary of Argentine independence. Construction began in 1917; the architects were Artaza and Marino and the construction company was P. Stefanetti and Sons.

The Estadio Ciudad de Vicente López is a stadium located in the neighborhood of Florida in Vicente López Partido of Greater Buenos Aires. Owned and operated by Club Atlético Platense, the stadium was built in 1979, and has a capacity of 28,530 spectators. The stadium is mainly used for football matches.

Club Atlético Chacarita Juniors (usually known simply as Chacarita) is an Argentine football club headquartered in Villa Crespo, Buenos Aires, while the stadium is located in Villa Maipú, General San Martín Partido of Greater Buenos Aires. The squad currently plays in Primera Nacional, the second division of the Argentine football league system.
