Medford is unincorporated community in Anderson County in the U.S. state of Tennessee. Medford is located along U.S. Route 25W, south of Rocky Top and north of Clinton. Medford does not have a post office and uses the ZIP code for Rocky Top, 37769. The Medford area had a population of 1,602 in 2010.

Norris Dam is a hydroelectric and flood control structure located on the Clinch River in Anderson County and Campbell County, Tennessee, United States. The dam was the first major project for the Tennessee Valley Authority, which had been created in 1933 to bring economic development to the region and control the rampant flooding that had long plagued the Tennessee Valley. The dam was named in honor of Nebraska Senator George Norris (1861–1944), a longtime supporter of government-owned utilities in general, and supporter of TVA in particular. The infrastructure project was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016. Norris Dam is a straight concrete gravity-type dam. The dam is 1860 feet (570 m) long and 265 feet (81 m) high. Norris Lake, the largest reservoir on a tributary of the Tennessee River, has 33,840 acres (137 km2) of water surface and 809 miles (1302 km) of shoreline. The dam has a maximum generating capacity of 126 megawatts.

Norris is a city in Anderson County, Tennessee. Its population was 1,599 at the 2020 census. It is included in the Knoxville, TN Metropolitan Statistical Area. Norris was built as a model planned community by the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) in 1933 to house workers building Norris Dam on the Clinch River. It is named in honor of George W. Norris, a Senator from Nebraska, who was a long-term supporter of the TVA.

The Edwards-Fowler House in Rocky Top, Tennessee was built between 1835 and 1838 on land given to Nicely Ross Edwards and husband Edward C. Edwards by Nicely's father, James Ross. Ross gave the couple 300 acres (120 ha) and several slaves, who provided labor to build the house, which has been called The Hemlocks after the two massive hemlock trees that grow in front of the house. The Edwards family owned the house from 1838 until about 1900 when the Fowler family, originally from Knoxville, Tennessee, bought the house. The house has remained structurally unchanged for over 175 years, making the Edwards Fowler house the oldest and only Federal-style house in Anderson County, Tennessee.The house was constructed of locally quarried limestone and bricks made on the site. Foundations of slave cabins exist behind the house. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on May 29, 1975.

Tennessee Fall Homecoming is the popular fall (autumn) festival of the Museum of Appalachia. A four-day event held annually on the second full weekend of October, Homecoming features continuous performance on five stages of traditional music ranging from gospel to bluegrass for the duration of the event. Over a quarter-century old, its headliners have included Doc Watson, Ralph Stanley, Mac Wiseman, Janette Carter, Rhonda Vincent, Bitt Rouse, and Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver. Each year over 175 artisans - some of whom do not sell in other venues - demonstrate and sell old-time Appalachian crafts. Demonstrations range from paper being made from milkweed to apple sulfuring (a method of preserving fruit by exposing slices to sulfur smoke, which kills bacteria).Other activities include buck dancing and clogging. Visitors can participate in daily hymn singing in the Museum's 19th-century log "Church in the Wildwood." Dozens of local ladies and food vendors serve country food on the grounds every day, some of it prepared on woodburning stoves and in iron kettles. Approximately 50,000 visitors attend some part of the four-day event. Special admission rates apply.

The Briceville Community Church is a nondenominational church located in Briceville, Tennessee, United States. Built in 1887, the church served as a center of social life and community affairs for the Coal Creek Valley during the valley's coal mining boom period in the late-19th and early-20th centuries. In 2003, the church was added to the National Register of Historic Places for its historical role and as an example of rural Gothic Revival architecture.Mining companies identified the coal resources of the Coal Creek Valley in the late 1860s, and by the 1880s a half-dozen mines were in operation throughout the valley. A railroad spur line was completed up the valley to Briceville in 1888, the year after the completion of the Briceville Community Church. The church was used as a temporary jail for prisoners in the aftermath of the Coal Creek War, a labor uprising that began with the seizure of a convict stockade in Briceville in 1891. In the following decade, the church hosted memorial services for the Fraterville Mine disaster of 1902 and the Cross Mountain Mine disaster of 1911, and victims of both disasters are buried in the church's cemetery. The church housed a Methodist congregation until 1995, and today is still used for various community events.

Andersonville is an unincorporated community in Anderson County, Tennessee. Beginning with the 2010 census, it is treated as a census-designated place (CDP). The CDP had a population of 508 in 2020. Andersonville is located on Tennessee State Route 61 east of Norris and south of Norris Lake. The Andersonville post office is assigned zip code 37705, which includes much of northeastern Anderson County, portions of adjacent Union County and some of the city limits of Norris.

The station is currently owned by Clinton Broadcasters, Inc. President Ronald C Meredith Jr, and features a Classic Hit Country format and airs NASCAR racing on the Motor Racing Network and the Performance Racing Network . WYSH's programming can also be heard on FM at 101.1 MHz over translator W266AM, which operates at 250 watts and at 99.5 FM W258DG at 250 watts. Currently WYSH simulcasts over WQLA in LaFollette, TN on AM 960 and over translator W240DT at 95.9 FM WQLA is another station owned by Meredith’s Clinton Broadcasters, Inc Meredith currently hosts The Country Club Morning show with Jim Harris and has since purchasing the station in 1990.

The Daugherty Furniture Building, also known as the J.R. Daugherty Company Building, is a former store located in Clinton, Tennessee. It sold furniture, appliances, hardware, flooring, and other household items, until its closure in 1985. The building was designed by architect Clem H. Meyers, and was constructed between the years 1938 and 1942. In 2010, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
