Leun

Leun/Braunfels is a heritage-listed station in the district of Lahnbahnhof in the town of Leun in the German state of Hesse. It is in the network of the Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund (RMV) and is located on the Lahn Valley Railway (Lahntalbahn). Directly next to the entrance building was the Braunfels terminus of the Ernst Railway (Ernstbahn) to Philippstein of which only a few remains are visible. It operated from 1875 to 1962.

Katzenfurt is a village (Ortsteil) of the municipality of Ehringshausen. The name does not mean Katze (cat), but the name comes from the Chatten or Katten, an ancient Germanic tribe. Its first documented reference was in 1233 via Heinricus de Kaczenfurt, who was named as a witness to a sale of the estates to Grossholzheim and Kleinholzheim by Hartrad von Merenberg to Arnsburg Abbey.

Altenberg Abbey (German: Kloster Altenberg) is a former Premonstratensian nunnery situated between Solms and Wetzlar, Hesse, Germany. It was founded in c. 1170 and dissolved in 1802. It had a strong connection with the House of Nassau, several of whom were nuns and abbesses, and some family members, including Otto I, Count of Nassau, were buried here; it was also a burial place for the Counts of Solms. The buildings were seriously damaged by a fire in 1952. Those that survive accommodate a meeting centre for the local deanery and since 2018 a small Protestant religious community.

Laimbach is a village (Ortsteil) of the municipality of Weilmünster in the district of Limburg-Weilburg in central Hesse. It has around 230 inhabitants (2021).

Ernsthausen is a village (Ortsteil) of the municipality of Weilmünster in the district of Limburg-Weilburg in central Hesse. It has around 600 inhabitants (2021).
