1 Mai is a metro station in northern Bucharest, serving line M4. It is situated in Chibrit or Clăbucet Square, at the intersection of Calea Griviței, Ion Mihalache Boulevard, and Bucureștii Noi Road. The station was opened on 1 March 2000, as part of Stage I of the M4 line, from Gara de Nord to 1 Mai. On 1 July 2011, the line was extended to Parc Bazilescu.

Marin Preda Park (Romanian: Parcul Marin Preda), formerly known as Giulești Park (Romanian: Parcul Giulești), is a park in the north-west of Bucharest, Romania. It is named for the Romanian novelist, post-war writer and publisher Marin Preda. Opened in 2017, the park is located in Sector 6 of the city and covers an area of 40 hectares (99 acres).

Grivița ([ˈɡrivitsa]) is a district of Bucharest, Romania, centered on the Grivița Railway Yards (Atelierele CFR Grivița), which were and still are an important landmark within the manufacturing landscape of the city. Located near Gara de Nord, their history dates back to the late decades of the 19th century, when they were developed in order to perform maintenance and overhaul of railway equipment serving Căile Ferate Române. The name reflects the Romanian spelling for Grivitsa, a village near Pleven, where one of the Ottoman redoubts in the Plevna's defenses was stormed and captured with heavy casualties by the Romanian Army during the Romanian War of Independence (see Siege of Plevna). In honor of this victory, Calea Târgoviștei, a street in Bucharest that led to the road that connected the capital with the city of Târgoviște, is renamed Calea Griviței. What initially started only to serve the city of Bucharest and the surrounding areas, grew over time into a cornerstone of the entire railway industry of Romania. In the interwar period, after the start of the Great Depression in Romania, Grivița Railway Yards also become a focal point of the labor movement. The Grivița Strike of 1933 and its violent repression by the authorities are still remembered in Romania. During the communist regime, their name was changed to Grivița Roșie ("Red Grivița"), in memory of the 1933 events. The area surrounding the Yards, one of the oldest of the city of Bucharest, became known as Cartierul Grivița ("Grivița Borough"), populated by the workers of Grivița Railway Yards. To this day it remains a blue collar neighborhood.

Jiului is a metro station in the Pajura district of northern Bucharest, Romania, serving Bucharest Metro's M4 Line. The station was opened on 1 July 2011 as part of the extension from 1 Mai to Parc Bazilescu.The station is named after a nearby street. Before the opening, the name was changed from the proposed Pajura because the latter was deemed more suitable for a future M6 station located in the same district, but more centrally.

Grivița is a metro station in northern Bucharest. The station was opened on 1 March 2000 as part of the inaugural section of the line from Gara de Nord to 1 Mai, and is therefore one of the most modern stations in Bucharest. It is located near the Grivița railroad workshops.

Crîngași is a metro station in the Crîngași neighborhood, northwestern Bucharest. It was opened to the public on 22 December 1984 as a terminus of the M1 line, one-line extension from Semănătoarea. On 24 December 1987, the line was extended further to Gara de Nord.The station is unusual in that it has three tracks on the same level, one of which has never been used by passengers (it is sometimes used for temporary storage of trains). The explanation is that Crîngași was initially designed to also house the "Y point" for the M1 and a southern semi-circular line (where southbound trains use a similar platform, and northbound trains use different platforms), in a manner similar to the way Eroilor functioned from 1979 to 1999 and from 2009 to present day – Line 1 and 2 used for trains entering the common section from different routes while line 3 for trains exiting the different routes). However, by 1986, when construction began on the section between Crîngași and Gara de Nord, the plans were changed (a common feature for Bucharest's metro), with M4 (the line designation for the abandoned semi-circular southern line) being re-purposed as a Gara de Nord to Bucureștii-Noi line. However, aside from the third platform, there are also noticeable stub-tunnels which would have led towards the next station on the abandoned line. Nowadays, the station is a point of transfer to the light rail line 41 (reconstructed in 2002), which runs from Ghencea to Piața Presei Libere. The Light Rail station is completely above the surface, and plans to bring the line underground are uncertain, as of now. There are, however, transfer tunnels linking directly to line 41. The station was built using cut-and-cover techniques at a rather shallow depth, in grey-blue Rușchița marble with red and crimson granite and marble insertions, and features a wide central platform with an additional side platform, mirroring the design used at Eroilor station. As the unused platform is very dimly lit, the station itself is one of the darkest on the system.

Giulești (Romanian pronunciation: [dʒjuˈleʃtʲ]) is a neighbourhood in northwestern Bucharest, located in Sector 6. The Giulești Stadium, Giulești Theatre, Podul Grant are located in Giulești. Also, the Grivița Railway Yards and Lacul Morii are located nearby.

Stadionul Rapid-Giulești is a football-specific stadium located in the Giulești neighbourhood of Bucharest, Romania. It has been home to Liga I club Rapid București since its opening in March 2022, and has a capacity of 14,047 people.The €67 million stadium replaced the original Stadionul Giulești-Valentin Stănescu. It hosted the 2022 Cupa României Final.

Podul Grant (Grant Bridge) is a bridge for motorway and lightrail in Bucharest, Romania. It is named after Effingham Grant, the British consul in Bucharest in the mid-19th century. Initially, the bridge was made of steel, and opened in 1910. Between 1979 and 1982, the old bridge was mostly demolished, to make way for a brand new concrete one, with slip ramps and wider lanes. Since then, a number of maintenance and modernisation projects have been executed. The bridge is located in the Giulești neighborhood of Sector 6 of the city. It is passed by a tram way (line 41), which was upgraded while Traian Băsescu was mayor, becoming the first lightrail line in Bucharest. Today, the bridge connects Crângași Square with Turda Street, crossing west–east over Giulești Boulevard, the railroads and Grivița Boulevard. It is one of the symbols of the football club București, its stadium being located right by the bridge.

The initiative of the establishment of the Romanian-American University belonged to the late Prof. Ion Smedescu, PhD, founder of the Romanian-American University and president of the Romanian-American Foundation for the Promotion of Education and Culture. The Romanian-American University is an independent institution without being affiliated or sponsored by American University.

Romexpo, also known as Romexpo Dome or Romexpo Town, is a large exhibition center and indoor arena in Bucharest, Romania. It is primarily used for exhibitions, concerts, and sporting events. The complex also hosts more than 140 other exhibits and trade shows every year. It is 303,234 square metres (3,263,980 sq ft), houses 100,000 square metres (1,100,000 sq ft) under roof, spread throughout 11 pavilions.It is close to other Bucharest landmarks, including the Bucharest World Trade Center, City Gate Towers, and the House of the Free Press. In 2018, it covered an exhibition area of 143,000 square meters. There were over 142,000 participants, including 3,500 exhibiting companies from 45 countries.In September 2020, the Chamber of Deputies passed a law to hand the area over to Chamber of Commerce and Industry, allowing a private investment to develop a roughly €3 billion real estate project on the land. Iulius Group plans a gigantic complex that will include 14 new buildings with various purposes: offices, residential, hotels, commercial spaces and museums, plus 12,000 parking spaces.

Basarab Tower was an elevator testing building in Bucharest built between 1986 and 1988. It had 23 floors and measured 114 meters. The surface of a level was 400 square meters. The tower's components consisted of 8 wells and laboratories built for testing elevators. It was the tallest industrial building in Romania and the tallest elevator testing tower in Europe. The main purpose of the tower's existence was for testing the elevators which were scheduled to be added in the Palace of the Parliament of Romania. Demolition of the tower (and the rest of the IFMA factory), began in April 2020, in its place being built a residential complex.
