Kabaty Woods

Kierszek [ˈkʲɛrʂɛk] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Konstancin-Jeziorna, within Piaseczno County, Masovian Voivodeship, in east-central Poland. It lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) north-west of Konstancin-Jeziorna, 6 km (4 mi) north-east of Piaseczno, and 13 km (8 mi) south of Warsaw.

STP Kabaty is the only active depot of the Warsaw Metro, located in the Kabaty neighbourhood of the Ursynów district in the south of Warsaw, at the end of Aleja Komisji Edukacji Narodowej, the main artery of Ursynów. It is also the headquarters of the Metro. It borders the Kabaty Forest to the south.The depot was opened on 7 April 1995 as the depot of the M1 metro line.

LOT Polish Airlines Flight 5055 was a scheduled international passenger flight from Warsaw, Poland to New York City, the United States. In the late-morning hours of 9 May 1987, the Ilyushin Il-62M operating the flight crashed in the Kabaty Woods nature reserve on the outskirts of Warsaw around 56 minutes after departure. All 183 passengers and crew on board were killed in the crash, making it the deadliest accident involving an Ilyushin Il-62, and the deadliest aviation disaster in Polish history.The accident was determined to have been caused by the disintegration of an engine shaft due to faulty bearings. This led to a catastrophic failure of the two left engines and then an onboard fire, both of which eventually destroyed all flight-control systems.

The Wąwozowa Street (Polish: Ulica Wąwozowa) is one of the principal streets of the Warsaw's residential neighborhood of Kabaty in the Ursynów district. It runs along the East-West axis, linking the Rosoła Street with the Stryjeńskich Street. The name comes from gorges (Polish: wąwozy) bordering escarpment of the Vistula, and was given in 1978 by the National Council of the Capital City of Warsaw resolution.The street was charted in 1980s during the development of Kabaty. Since 1995, the Kabaty metro station has been located beneath the street. There are two traffic lights – first one on the junction with the Komisji Edukacji Narodowej Avenue, and the second one with the Jerzy Zaruba Street (Polish: Ulica Jerzego Zaruby).There is a cycle path along the road.

Metro Kabaty is the southern terminus of Line M1 of the Warsaw Metro, located in the Kabaty neighbourhood of the Ursynów district in the south of Warsaw, at the end of Aleja Komisji Edukacji Narodowej, the main artery of Ursynów. Tracks continue beyond the station, where they rise to surface level and go into the depot. The station is close to several bus stops. The Kabaty Forest is nearby.The station was opened on 7 April 1995 as the southern terminus of the inaugural stretch of the Warsaw Metro, between Kabaty and Politechnika.

Józefosław (Polish pronunciation: [juzɛˈfɔswaf]) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Piaseczno, within Piaseczno County, Masovian Voivodeship, in east-central Poland. It lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) north of Piaseczno and 13 km (8 mi) south of Warsaw.

Stryjeńskich Street (Polish: ulica Stryjeńskich) is one of the three main thoroughfares of Warsaw's borough of Ursynów. It links Płaskowickiej Street on the north with Wąwozowa Street on the west. The name commemorates the Stryjeński family: Zofia, Aleksander, Karol and Tadeusz. The street was planned in the 1970s and opened ten years later – the name of the avenue appears on the Warsaw maps in 1980. The name of the street was given in 1977. Nowadays, it crosses local streets: Przy Bażantarni, Małej Łąki, Moczydłowska, Belgradzka, Kazury and Na Uboczu. In 2015, the street was designed to be blinkered to the only pass in the both directions (on the length from Przy Bażantarni to Belgradzka Streets). It was also said that two zebra crossings will be prepared. The project, which was lodged in the Participatory budgeting, caused controversies and was rejected by the authorities of Ursynów. Nearby the street there are located: the local park Moczydełko, two churches and one primary school (in the vicinity of the cross with the Na Uboczu Street).

Filipiny Płaskowickiej street (Polish: ulica Filipiny Płaskowickiej) is a thoroughfare which links the west and the east of Ursynów. It starts nearby the Nowoursynowska and crosses: Rosoła, Cynamonowa, Lanciego, Komisji Edukacji Narodowej, Dereniowa, Stryjeńskich, Pileckiego, Polskie Drogi and Roentgena. It has its end in the crossing with Puławska. Since 2017, the street is being rebuilt because of the construction project of the Expressway S2 including tunnel under Płaskowickiej.

Julianów [juˈljanuf] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Piaseczno, within Piaseczno County, Masovian Voivodeship, in east-central Poland.

The Blessed Ladislas of Gielniów Church is a Catholic parish church located in the Ursynów district of Warsaw, Poland, in the Natolin area, at 3 Przy Bażantarni Street. It is dedicated to Blessed Ladislas of Gielniów.
