Bethany Lutheran Theological Seminary (BLTS) is the training school for pastors of the Evangelical Lutheran Synod.

Bethany Lutheran College (BLC) is a private Christian liberal arts college in Mankato, Minnesota. Founded in 1927, BLC is operated by the Evangelical Lutheran Synod. The campus overlooks the Minnesota River valley in a community of 53,000.

ISG Field is a stadium in Mankato, Minnesota with a capacity of 4,000. It is primarily used for baseball, and is the home field of the Mankato Moondogs (formerly the Mankato Mashers) of the Northwoods League, a collegiate summer baseball league. Bethany Lutheran College, Mankato West High School, Loyola Catholic School, and Mankato Area Youth Baseball Association also use the venue.

Kato Public Charter School is a charter school in Mankato, Minnesota, United States. The school opened as RiverBend Academy in September 2000 and rebranded as Kato Public Charter School in 2014. Kato Public is part of the EdVisions Schools co-op and is in its own independent school district, ISD #4066.

All Seasons Arena is a two-rink facility built in 1973 and located in Mankato, Minnesota, United States. It is the former home of the Minnesota State Mavericks women's ice hockey. The arena is also used for practices by the Minnesota State Mavericks men's ice hockey team. It was used for men's intercollegiate games until 1995, when they moved to the newly opened Mankato Civic Center.

The Mankato — North Mankato Metropolitan Statistical Area, as defined by the United States Census Bureau, is an area consisting of two counties in south central Minnesota, anchored by the cities of Mankato and North Mankato. It was upgraded from a Micropolitan Statistical Area (μSA) to a Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) by the Office of Management and Budget on November 20, 2008. As of the 2020 census, the μSA (now MSA) had a population of 103,566.

Mankato ( man-KAY-toh) is a city in Blue Earth, Nicollet, and Le Sueur counties in the U.S. state of Minnesota. The population was 44,488 according to the 2020 census, making it the 21st-largest city in Minnesota, and the 5th-largest outside of the Minneapolis–Saint Paul metropolitan area. It is along a large bend of the Minnesota River at its confluence with the Blue Earth River. Mankato is across the Minnesota River from North Mankato. Mankato and North Mankato have a combined population of 58,763 according to the 2020 census. It completely encompasses the town of Skyline. North of Mankato Regional Airport, a tiny non-contiguous part of the city lies within Le Sueur County. Most of the city is in Blue Earth County. Mankato is the larger of the two principal cities of the Mankato-North Mankato metropolitan area, which covers Blue Earth and Nicollet Counties and had a combined population of 103,566 at the 2020 census. The U.S. Census Bureau designated Mankato a Metropolitan Statistical Area in November 2008.

Old Main is a historic academic building on the lower historic campus of Minnesota State University, Mankato in Mankato, Minnesota. Its main section, built in 1924, is dominated by a prominent Jacobethan tower, and is connected to an older 1908 building, now known as the Annex. It was built to replace the original old main (built 1870) also located in lower Mankato that was burned to the ground by a fire in 1922. These structures are the oldest surviving buildings on the original valley campus, which was the first site of the state's second normal school. The state legislature provided funding in 1923 for the development of the site. The 1924 building was designed by Clarence H. Johnston, then the state architect. It currently serves as a nursing home and clinical rotation site for nursing assistant programs in the area. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The Mankato Public Library and Reading Room is a former library building in Mankato, Minnesota, United States. It was built as a Carnegie library from 1902 to 1903 and housed Mankato's public library until 1977. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980 for its local significance in the themes of architecture and education. It was nominated for its association with the Carnegie library phenomenon and for its Renaissance Revival architecture using local materials.The city of Mankato sold the building to the Mankato Area Arts Council in 1979. It housed a music education program and provided office space to various non-profit arts organizations. As of 2022, it operates as the Carnegie Art Center, with two art galleries, a gift shop of work by regional artists, and rental studio space.

Snelling & Hewitt is a bus rapid transit station on the Metro A Line in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The station is located at the intersection of Hewitt Avenue on Snelling Avenue. Both station platforms are located far-side of Hewitt Avenue. The station opened June 11, 2016 with the rest of the A Line.

Good Counsel Hill is a notable location in Mankato, Minnesota. This hill is located off US Highway 14 and is home to Loyola Catholic School and a motherhouse for the School Sisters of Notre Dame, who arrived in Mankato in 1865. It's easy to find because of its location just off the freeway, and because of the water tower located on the top of the hill.
