Brisbane Skytower

Vision Brisbane (or simply Vision) was a planned 283-metre (928 ft) skyscraper in Brisbane, Australia. The design was 72 storeys high, and would have become Brisbane's tallest, Queensland's second tallest, and Australia's third tallest building if completed. The design was scrapped and replaced by two new buildings, known by the name 111+222.Vision was planned to be a mixed-use tower with two levels of retail/entertainment space, 13 floors of commercial, 376 residential apartments over 53 floors and a two-storey observation deck on levels 60 and 61 at 205 metres (673 ft). Designed by the Buchan Group and developed by Austcorp, Vision's estimated value on completion was predicted to be A$900 million. Vision's Plaza was designed to provide a mid-block link between Mary Street and Margaret Street. A total of 7,390 square metres of lettable retail space was to be located within the main tower according to development application lodged with the city council. The public plaza was to include water features and several commissioned works of art. The 376 apartments within the residential component were planned to consist of 96 four-bedroom, 108 three-bedroom, 52 two-bedroom and 120 single-bedroom units. The commercial space totaled 37,431 square metres, comprising the first 13 levels of the main tower and the associated commercial wing extending towards Mary Street.

Mary Street is a major road in the Brisbane central business district. The street is one of a number that were named after female queens and princesses of the royal family shortly after the penal colony was settled. Charlotte Street is positioned parallel to the north and Margaret Street runs next to the south. Mary Street begins in the Government Precinct at a T-intersection with George Street opposite the Executive Building. Also at the elevated southern end is Education House containing state government offices and the Department of Mines and Energy, Queensland are located opposite in the Queensland Minerals & Energy Centre. Felix Tower is located on the corner of Mary and Felix Streets. Waterfront Place and Forestry House are nearby in the lower northern section, close to the river. Vision Brisbane is a residential skyscraper under construction on Mary Street. It will be the tallest building in the city and state of Queensland. Mary Street was home to the first premises used by the Queensland Club, before moving to the corner of George Street and Alice Street.

138 Mary Street, Brisbane is a heritage-listed wine and spirits storehouse in Mary Street, Brisbane CBD, Queensland, Australia. It was built in about 1901 for Perkins Brewery (now Castlemaine Perkins). It is also known as Buzzards and Perkins Wine & Spirit Store. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 21 October 1992.

Frog's Hollow was a historic neighbourhood in the Brisbane central business district, Queensland, Australia. It was a colloquial name used for the low-lying land surrounding the intersection of Albert Street and Margaret Street. It is no longer in use.

Albert Street railway station is a railway station currently under construction as part of the Cross River Rail project in the Brisbane central business district, Queensland, Australia. To be built as an underground station directly beneath Albert Street, it will consist of two platforms. Construction commenced in October 2019, with it scheduled to open in 2024. The platforms are built at a depth of 31 metres.The station will provide access to the mixed-use residential, employment and retail precinct adjoining the City Botanic Gardens, the financial district, Queen’s Wharf, the government precinct and Queensland University of Technology at Gardens Point. The precinct is expected to attract more than 67,000 commuters each weekday in 2036.The station has two entrances. The main entrance lies to the south, while the second entrance is located to the north.

Port Office Hotel is a heritage-listed hotel at 40 Edward Street, Brisbane City, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was designed by James Cowlishaw and built from 1876 by Charles Midson. It was also known as Shamrock Hotel. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 21 October 1992.

The 30 Albert Street is a future residential skyscraper to be located at 30 Albert Street in Brisbane, Australia. The tower will rise to 270.5m (274m AHD) which is currently the maximum height allowed in Brisbane central business district. The 91-storey tower will include 857 apartments; one bedroom, two-bedroom, three-bedroom apartments and one penthouse. Recreation areas with pools and dining and lounge rooms will be located across three dual-level decks on the low-rise (levels 6–7), mid-rise (levels 66–67) and high-rise (levels 83–84). Retail space is planned for the ground floor levels. Development application was lodged with the Brisbane City Council in August 2015 and replaced in August 2016.

Spencers Building is a pair of heritage-listed warehouses at 45–47 and 49–51 Edward Street, Brisbane City, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It was designed by Francis Drummond Greville Stanley and built from 1889 to 1890 by Thomas Rees. It was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on 27 August 1993.
