Westgate Transit Center is a Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority bus station in Austin, Texas. It is located underneath the elevated freeway of Ben White Boulevard (US 290-SH 71), in between Packsaddle Pass and Menchaca Road. The station features a park and ride lot with over 200 parking spaces, and is served by several local bus routes as well as MetroRapid Route 803. The station is the terminus of multiple routes; particularly MetroRapid Route 803 which provides express access to downtown and points north. The facility opened in 2019 after Capital Metro was unable to negotiate a parking lease deal with the previous terminus in the Westgate Shopping Center located at South Lamar and Westgate Boulevards. The transit center uniquely provides shaded covered parking by making use of the empty space underneath the SH 71-US 290 freeway.

The Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders is an all-girls college preparatory public school of choice for students in grades 6–12 located in Austin, Texas. Airman's Cave is a cave located adjacent to the portion of Barton Creek located in Travis County in south Austin, Texas. The cave is 3,444 metres (11,299 ft) long, and characterized by long crawls and tight passages. It lies inside the Barton Creek Greenbelt public park and is managed by the City of Austin's Parks and Recreation Department.

The Andrew M. Cox Ranch Site is a historic collection of ruined buildings and structures in Austin, Texas, United States. The site is located on either side of Barton Creek near the intersection of Loop 360 and the Mopac Expressway. It included a small collection of wall enclosures (no habitable buildings remain onsite) and wagon tracks in the native limestone.The site was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

The Barton Creek Greenbelt located in Austin, Texas is managed by the City of Austin's Park and Recreation Department. The Greenbelt is a 7.25-mile (11.67 km) stretch of public land that begins at Zilker Park and stretches South/Southwest to the final section commonly referred to as "The Hill of Life" which ends in the Woods of Westlake subdivision. The Barton Creek Greenbelt consists of three areas: the Lower Greenbelt, the Upper Greenbelt, and the Barton Creek Wilderness Park and is characterized by large limestone cliffs, dense foliage, and shallow bodies of water.

South Congress Transit Center is a Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority bus station in Austin, Texas. It is located off of Radam Lane on the south side of Ben White Boulevard, just west of South Congress Avenue in the SoCo area of Austin, Texas. The station features a park and ride lot and is served by several local bus routes as well as MetroRapid Route 801. As part of Project Connect, a Capital MetroRail light rail station is expected to be built at the facility; it is planned to be the second-to-last stop of the Orange Line before terminating at Stassney station, and will be the final station of the Gold Line.

Barton Hills is bounded by South Lamar and Zilker neighborhoods to the east, Barton Springs Road and Zilker Park to the north, Barton Creek and the Spyglass-Barton's Bluff neighborhood to the west and the Capital of Texas Highway to the south. Barton Hills is primarily residential, with the oldest homes dating back to the 1940s. Additionally, the area is home to several attractions including the Barton Creek Greenbelt nature preserve and the Umlauf Sculpture Garden and Museum. Just north of the neighborhood are Barton Springs Pool, a natural spring fed by Barton Creek, and the 351-acre Zilker Park.
