Krebsbach (Nidder)

Nidderau station is a junction station on the Friedberg–Hanau railway and the Nidder Valley Railway (German: Niddertalbahn) in the town of Nidderau in the German state of Hesse. The station is classified by Deutsche Bahn (DB) as a category 5 station.

Nidderau (German: [ˈnɪ.dəʁ.aʊ̯] ) is a town in the Main-Kinzig district, in Hesse, Germany. It is situated approximately 12 km north of Hanau, and 20 km northeast of Frankfurt. Nidderau was created in the merger of the municipality of Heldenbergen with the town of Windecken on January 1, 1970. Eichen and Erbstadt joined Nidderau on January 1, 1972 and Ostheim merged with Nidderau in July 1974.

Engelthal Abbey or St. Mary's Abbey, Engelthal, is a Benedictine nunnery in the Wetterau region, Hesse, Germany. Engelthal Abbey was a Cistercian nunnery from its foundation in 1268, until the secularisation of 1803. It was ruled by Imperial Counts of Leiningen-Westerburg-Neuleiningen and later in 19th century sold to Counts of Solms-Wildenfels. In 1962 it was re-settled by the Benedictine nuns of Herstelle Abbey. The house was raised to the status of abbey in 1965, and belongs to the Beuronese Congregation of the Benedictine Confederation. Besides the normal Benedictine duty of hospitality, the nuns of Engelthal are also involved in the restoration of ecclesiastical works of art.

The Wetterau is a fertile undulating tract, watered by the Wetter, a tributary of the Nidda River, in the western German state of Hesse, between the hilly province Oberhessen and the north-western Taunus mountains. Horloff is a river of Hesse, Germany. It passes through Hungen and Reichelsheim, and flows into the Nidda in Florstadt.

Niddatal (German: [ˈnɪ.da.ˌtaːl] (listen)) is a town in the Wetteraukreis district in Hesse, Germany. It is located on the Nidda River, 6 km southeast of Friedberg and 22 km northeast of Frankfurt am Main. The town is divided into four districts: Assenheim, Ilbenstadt, Kaichen, Bönstadt.

The Wetter is a 69-kilometre-long (43 mi) river in the state of Hesse, Germany. It is a right tributary to the Nidda which itself is a right tributary of the Main. After leaving the Vogelsberg mountain range the river flows through the Wetterau, a fertile landscape just north of Frankfurt, which is named after the river. The principal towns along the river are Laubach, Lich, Bad Nauheim and Friedberg. The Wetter receives its largest tributary, the Usa, at Friedberg just before it finally joins the Nidda at Niddatal-Assenheim.
