Union Fair

The Old Town House, also known as the Union Town House, is a historic government building at 128 Town House Road in Union, Maine. Built in 1840, it served the town for many years as its town hall, and as one of its major social venues. It is now owned by the local historical society, which operates it as a community meeting place. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

The Common is the town common of Union, Maine. Laid out about 1790 and acquired by the town in 1809, it is the oldest public town common in the state of Maine. It is the site of the town's various war and veterans memorials, and also has a bandstand. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

The Back River is a tributary of the Saint George River in Knox County, Maine. From its source in Far Meadow (44°02′53″N 69°16′08″W) in Cushing, the river runs 10.7 miles (17.2 km) north, through South and North Ponds, to its confluence with the Saint George in Warren.

The Gushee Family House is a historic house at 2868 Sennebec Road in Appleton, Maine. Built about 1833 and remodeled in 1891, it is a well-preserved early rural Maine farmstead, with a well-preserved main entry surround that is unusually elaborate for the house's scale, but is also common to other period houses in the region. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.

The Union Meeting House is a historic church at 2875 Sennebec Road in Appleton, Maine. Built in 1848, it is a fine local example of Greek Revival architecture. It has served a variety of congregations, and housed the town library for a time. It is now owned by the local historical society. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.

Appleton is a town in Knox County, Maine, United States. It is about 15 miles inland from Penobscot Bay and coastal towns such as Camden and Rockland, about 30 miles east of the state capital of Augusta. The population was 1,411 at the 2020 census.

Regional School Unit 40 (RSU#40), formerly known as Maine School Administrative District #40, is a school district headquartered on the second floor of Union Elementary School in Union, Maine. MSAD 40 comprises the public education services for students in Union, Friendship, Waldoboro, Warren, and Washington.The superintendent's office and adult education programs will move to Union Elementary School from the Educational Services Center in Warren starting with the 2008–09 school year.

The Georges River Canal, also known as the General Knox Canal was a short-lived canal that operated on and near the course of the Saint George River in Knox and Waldo Counties in south-central Maine. First owned and operated by American Revolutionary War General Henry Knox between 1794 and 1806, it was briefly revived in 1847–50, but was not financially successful. It provided for transport of goods from near the river's headwaters in Searsmont to the head of navigation at Warren. A few elements of the canal survive today, and its route was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970.

Washington, officially the Town of Washington, is a town in Knox County, Maine, United States. The population was 1,590 at the 2020 United States Census.
