Dorpskerk, Ouddorp

Ouddorp is a village in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is part of the municipality of Goeree-Overflakkee. It is often referred to as Ouddorp aan Zee (Outdorp on the Sea) to promote itself as a seaside resort, because the village has an 18 kilometres (11 mi) long beach which is the longest of the Netherlands.

De Hoop ("Hope") is a flour windmill in Ouddorp built in 1845 and fully renovated in 1984. It is one of the few windmills in the Netherlands that is still privately owned, and is still in full commercial operation.

Oostdijk is a hamlet in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Goeree-Overflakkee, and lies about 13 km west of Hellevoetsluis. It was first mentioned in 1515 as "gelegen in Westvoirne bijder Goederee inder banne vanden oestdijck", and means "eastern dike". It is named after the eponymous polder.Oostdijk is not a statistical entity, It is considered part of Goedereede. It consists of about 100 houses.

The Toren van Goedereede (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈtoːrə(m) vɑŋ ˌɣudəˈreːdə]; Goederede Tower) is a gray square brick tower in Goedereede, Netherlands, 39.5 metres (130 ft) high, belonging to the Catharina church. It was built in 1512. From 1552 to 1912 the tower served as a lighthouse, and went through various changes during this period. Today it has been restored and is a museum, housing a carillon.

Goedereede (Dutch pronunciation: [ˌɣudəˈreːdə] ) is a little town and former municipality in the western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland. The former municipality had a population of about 11,000 in 2010. It consisted of the west part of the island of Goeree-Overflakkee. Goedereede merged with Dirksland, Middelharnis, and Oostflakkee into the new municipality of Goeree-Overflakkee on January 1, 2013. The town have a population of about 2,000 in 2012. Goedereede received city rights in 1312 from Sir Gereart van Voorne. The future Pope Adrian VI (1459–1523) was at one time pastor of the parish church of Goedereede. During a great fire in Goedereede in 1482 the old "Katharina Church" and its tower were destroyed. A new church was erected in 1512 beside the Toren van Goedereede (Goederede Tower), which still stands today. Goederede went into a long decline, losing trade to better-sited ports. There were insufficient funds to maintain the church. In 1706 the dilapidated building was pulled down, but the tower was preserved.The former municipality of Goedereede also included the communities of, from west to east, Ouddorp, Goedereede (with Havenhoofd), Oostdijk, and Stellendam.

Visschershoek is an old farmhouse in the Dutch province of South Holland. The farmhouse is located nearby the lighthouse of Ouddorp, about 7 kilometers from the centre of Ouddorp, next to the dunes on the far western part of the island and municipality of Goeree-Overflakkee.

Bommenede or Bommenee is a former island, village, and municipality in the Netherlands, located about 5 km east of the city of Brouwershaven.

The Brouwersdam is the seventh structure of the Delta Works in the Netherlands. Brouwersdam forms a barrier across the former estuary known as the Brouwershavense Gat. As a result, the area of water became known as the Grevelingenmeer.

Brouwershaven is a small city on the Grevelingen in the Dutch province of Zeeland. It is a part of the municipality of Schouwen-Duiveland, lies about 45 km southwest of Hellevoetsluis and 10 km north of Zierikzee. Brouwershaven received city rights in 1477. In 2023 the town of Brouwershaven had 1291 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.41 km2, and contained 759 residences. The statistical area "Brouwershaven", which also can include the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 1540.Brouwershaven was a separate municipality until 1997, when it was merged into Schouwen-Duiveland.

Den Osse is a hamlet in the municipality of Schouwen-Duiveland, in Zeeland, Netherlands. Den Osse is not a statistical entity, and the postal authorities have placed it under Brouwershaven. Den Osse has mainly become a holiday resort and marina. It has its own place name signs. There are only about 15 houses for permanent residence.

Havenhoofd is a village in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Goeree-Overflakkee, and lies about 10 km west of Hellevoetsluis. The village was first mentioned around 1750 as "'t Goereese Hooft", and refers to the dams on either side of the harbour. During the 18th century, Havenhoofd developed as a harbour village for Goedereede.In 1943, during World War II, the entire village was demolished as part of the Atlantic Wall, and 42 bunkers were built in the area. Some of the bunkers are still hidden under the sand of the dunes. Havenhoofd was rebuilt between 1947 and 1949. In 1958 the harbour was dammed as a result of the North Sea flood of 1953, and the fishermen moved to Stellendam.

Klaaskinderenkerke (also spelled 'Klaaskinderkerke') is a former village in the Dutch province of Zeeland. The polder Klaaskinderen was flooded on December 14, 1511, and was never reclaimed again. The church of Klaaskinderenkerke disappeared in this flood, and in the 19th century, only a small hamlet was left.The hamlet has now disappeared from the maps. It was located east of the village of Scharendijke. Klaaskinderkerke was a separate municipality until 1813, when it was merged with Duivendijke.
