The village is about three miles (4.8 km) south of Camelford. The hamlets of Fentonadle, Trevenning and Treveighan are in the parish. The civil parish of Michaelstow is in the deanery of Trigg Minor and Hundred of Lesnewth. It is named after 'St Michael's holy place' and the parish church is dedicated to St Michael and All Angels. There is a tall Cornish cross in the churchyard, original location unknown; it formed part of a series of steps up to the churchyard until it was removed in 1883. Three more crosses are at Trevenning. The River Camel runs along its eastern edge and the surrounding parishes are Lanteglos-by-Camelford to the north, St Breward to the east, St Tudy to the south and St Teath to the west. Helsbury Castle (Cornish: Kastel Bre Henlys, lit. 'castle on the hill of the old court'), an Iron Age hill fort, stands on Michaelstow Beacon half-a-mile north of the village.

Pendoggett (Cornish: Penndewgos) is a village in the civil parish of St Kew, Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is a linear village stradling the B3314 Wadebridge to Delabole road about five miles (8 km) northwest of Wadebridge, four miles (6.5 km) southeast of Delabole, and two miles (3 km) southeast of Port Isaac. Pendoggett has a population of about 175 people. The name means head of two woods in Cornish; 'Penn' meaning head, 'dew' meaning two and 'goes' being a mutation of 'koes' which means wood. The Cornish Arms is a 16th-century inn. The boundary of the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) follows the B3314 through Pendoggett village, meaning that part of the village is inside the AONB and part is outside.

Pengelly (Cornish: Penn-gelli) is a hamlet in north Cornwall, England, United Kingdom, part of the village and civil parish of Delabole which was until April 2021 in the parish of St Teath. Once Pengelly was a settlement separate from the neighbouring hamlets of Medrose and Rockhead, but the three were merged with the introduction of the railway and the new village adopted the name Delabole. There are also places called Pengelly in the parishes of Breage, Crowan and St Ewe; the meaning of Pengelly is "end/top of a grove".

Delabole (Cornish: Delyow Boll) is a large village and civil parish in north Cornwall, England, UK. It is situated approximately two miles (3 km) west of Camelford.The village of Delabole came into existence in the early 20th-century; it is named after the Delabole Quarry. Three hamlets: Pengelly, Meadrose (pronounced "médroze") and Rockhead, and the hamlet of Delabole south of the quarry are shown on the earliest one-inch Ordnance Survey map of 1813. When the railway arrived, the station was named Delabole after the quarry, and the three hamlets were absorbed into Delabole. It is said to be the third highest village in Cornwall. Treligga military airfield and HMS Vulture II, an aerial bombing and gunnery range, were situated west of the village. Delabole lies within the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

Fentonadle is a hamlet situated 4 miles (6.4 km) south-west from Camelford in Cornwall, England. Fentonadle lies at around 120 metres (390 ft) above sea level in the civil parish of Michaelstow situated on the western side of the River Camel valley and to the north-west of Bodmin Moor. It is in the civil parish of St Breward

Trequite is a hamlet in the parish of St Kew, Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is half a mile east of St Kew. The farm at Trequite has a circular building attached known as the 'roundhouse'. This was a horse mill used when there was no water to power the water wheel. Despite its small size, there was a Methodist chapel in Trequite. Built in the late 1860s on land leased for the purpose by Lord Robartes, it closed in the first quarter of the 20th Century and was converted to residential use.

It was located on the North Cornwall Railway and named after Delabole Quarry. There were three hamlets in the vicinity, Pengelly, Meadrose, and Rockhead, while the hamlet of Delabole was south of the quarry.
