Alo TV is a local interactive television channel in Tartu, Estonia. It includes 24/7 music videos and news. On weekdays it also shows local information. The Alo TV broadcast area was formerly restricted to Tartu and Tartu County, but since 2009 the channel is included in Elion digital TV and Starman cable TV services. The channel is included also Freeview HybridTV list Alo TV was first broadcast from the Estonian University of Life Sciences dormitory skyscraper.

Tartu Song Festival arena (Estonian: Tartu lauluväljak) is a song arena in Tartu, Estonia. The arena hosts various open-air concerts, festivals and staging performances in summer. The arena's area is about 1 ha.The arena was re-opened on June 1994. The stage can accommodate about 5,000 singers. The arena capacity is about 15,000 people and the number of seats are about 10,000.

Villa Tammekann is a residential building located in Tartu, Estonia, notable for being one of few private residences designed by the Finnish architect Alvar Aalto, his first design to be realised outside Finland, and the only one located in Estonia or anywhere in the Baltic states.

The Immaculate Conception Church (Estonian: Pühima Neitsi Maarja Pärispatuta Saamise kirik) also known as the Catholic church in Tartu and more formally "Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary" is the name given to a religious building belonging to the Catholic Church, located in the city of Tartu, the second largest in Estonia.

Supilinn (Estonian for "Soup Town") is a neighbourhood of Tartu, Estonia. It is located just north of the city centre, on the right bank of Emajõgi River. Supilinn has a population of 1,863 (as of 31 December 2013). With an area of 0.48 km2 (0.19 sq mi) it is the smallest neighbourhood of Tartu. Supilinn is especially famous for being a former slum, mostly consisting of 1–2 floored wooden apartment buildings.

Veeriku is a neighbourhood of Tartu located about 2 km west of the city centre, just beyond the railway that bisects the city. Veeriku has a population of 5,502 (as of 31 December 2013) and an area of 2.81 km2 (1.08 sq mi).

Korporatsioon Revelia (also Korp! Revelia) is an all-male fraternity in Estonia. It was founded in 1920.

Miina Härma Gymnasium (Estonian: Miina Härma Gümnaasium; abbreviated as MHG) is an institution composed of a primary school and a secondary school in Tartu, Estonia. The school holds a special emphasis on languages. Miina Härma Gymnasium is an IB World School offering the Diploma Programme and the Primary Years Programme, and a candidate school for the Middle Years Programme.

Tartu railway station (Estonian: Tartu raudteejaam) is the main railway station in Tartu, Estonia. Tartu railway station is situated west of the centre Tartu. It was established in 1876 when Tapa–Tartu route was built. The station building was opened in 1877. Passenger trains are operated by Elron and most services are towards Tallinn. There are also services to Valga and to Jõgeva, Orava, Koidula and Piusa.There are two platforms with the length of 260m and 330m.

New St. John's Cemetery (Estonian: Uus-Jaani kalmistu) is a cemetery in Tartu, Estonia. Next to this cemetery is located Old St. John's Cemetery.The cemetery was opened in April 1890.

The Estonian Students' Society (Estonian: Eesti Üliõpilaste Selts; commonly used acronym: EÜS) is the largest and oldest all-male academical student society in Estonia, and is similar to the Baltic German student organizations known as corporations (Corps) (not to be confused with US college fraternities). It was founded in 1870 at Tartu. It has over 900 members in Estonia and abroad. In 1881 the Society adopted blue, black and white as its colours. Its first flag was made in 1884 and this tricolour was later (1918) accepted as the National Flag of Estonia. The original flag is still in existence. In the wake of the Estonian national awakening, many young Estonian intellectuals had ties to the EÜS, and the organization had impact beyond its borders. It was instrumental in the founding of the Estonian National Museum in 1909, and the EÜS library was donated to the museum. The Museum was later split into two, and its Archive Library formed the basis of the Estonian Literary Museum. The building of the Estonian Students' Society in Tartu has been considered to be one of the first examples of Estonian national architecture. The Treaty of Tartu between Finland and Soviet Russia was signed in the building in 1920. Former members of the EÜS founded the academic corporations Fraternitas Estica (1907), Sakala (1909) and the association Veljesto.
